Yeah, yeah, yeah; blah, blah, blah- hey. Can we just get on with this conversation already? If not, who cares; I'm going on without you. The name is Lucas- Lucas Edward Ryans. I don't want comments on it, I already realize how idiotic it is, there's no need to point out the flaws. Now, even though you shouldn't care, I'm going on- yay. I hope you know I'm being forced to do this. Anyway, my first name, Lucas, comes from German origination and means, "Light". Coincidence, right? My first name managed to mean "light", my ex-girlfriend's name. Anyway, off that topic; we'll be talking about her later. My middle name, Edward, means, "Wealthy Guardian". I have no idea what my mom was on when they gave me Edward as that middle name. She might've thought it was "proper" or something of the sort. As for my last name, Ryans, that has no meaning. No last name ever does, because it was never anyone's choice to have in the beginning. It was my father's last name, and once he married my mother, she took his last name. Thus, my last name.

Dang, man. How long am I going to have to be here for? If you must know, I'm nineteen years of age. No older, no younger. That is, unless you count the months, days, minutes, seconds, and milliseconds since my birth; then yeah, I'm nineteen years old. So, what; all of a sudden you care about my birth? You know what- just, whatever. I was born on December twenty-first, 1993. Great, now maybe you could write that in your diary- woo. Now, I swear to God, this is the last thing I'll be telling you about my birthday: I was born at 3:27 in the morning. Not the afternoon, not the evening- morning. So get that fact through your head before I have to knock it into your memory.

"What? Please don't stare at me like that... I'll tell you anything you want just don't make her come out! My name is Erica, supposedly it means powerful ruler, but that's more of a misnomer than anything. I'm not powerful, not at all. It's hard to feel powerful when you have dissociative identity disorder, but I don't want to talk about that, please. Um, I'm seventeen, almost eighteen now actually. I'm a girl, I hope you can figure that one out, hence the long blond hair and doe brown eyes. And, in case you can't tell already I'm very timid and quiet and shy. I like reading, well I like anything that will help me forget everything, especially the other half of me, but I guess you want to talk to her too huh?"

"Ah, my turn to talk now huh? Well I'm Zoe, not pleased to meet you. I'm a girl obviously, and I'm eighteen. I don't know why she insists it's seventeen but whatevs. What else is there to say? I'm a sarcastic, grumpy know-it-all who hates people. And I mean who wouldn't when you're stuck inside someone else's head? Did you think I was the one in charge here just because I'm the rude one? Hah. Of course you did, how gullible. But then it's not my fault you were fooled by the cute timid act going on over there. No, I'm only here to get rid of all the scary problems for that weakling. Hmf. Have fun being stuck in this hell hole."

THE REALITY

Erica grew up with only a father, her mother died when she was born. Her dad turned to drinking to forget about the loss of his beloved wife, at first it wasn't bad, but as Erica got older he got worse. Unfortunately for her, he was also a violent drunk, and she has several scars to prove it. She made it till high school, but that's when her personality disorders started kicking in. The strain of living with her father proved to much, and getting locked into a tiny closet for accidentally spilling some coffee on her father's shirt sent her over the edge. While stuck in the closet her mind created a second personality to cope with the situation, and from then on, whenever anything got to difficult, she would just become someone else.

This person morphed into Zoe, a girl who is everything Erica is not. Loud, brash, and untamable. At first it wasn't noticeable, but the more she stood up to her father as Zoe, the angier he got. She -as Zoe- got caught in a fight with him and was beaten within an inch of her life. Waking up in the hospital sent Erica into a panic attack since she had no idea why she was there. Then her other personality came out and freaked several of the nurses out. She was diagnosed as having psychosis, and DID (dissociative identity disorder) or simply multiple personality disorder.

Unlike most with this disorder, both personalities seem to be aware of eachother even though the typical blackouts occurs when one personality is in control. Zoe in particular seems to know a lot about Erica despite the fact she is the 'lesser' of the split personalities. As a side effect of the psychosis Erica also suffers from the occasional auditory hallucination and from panic attacks. She is quite harmless, but Zoe can be ruthless. They have a bit of a love hate relationship.
