I thought I remembered seeing a newborn with the 3 patches of color somewhere a long time ago.

I was never around to see it, but that makes sense. Would they still be considered one litter, or three seperate ones?

They're one litter, since they were all adopted from the same source/newborn on the adoption page, and clearly share a design c:
The blankets just happened to indicate early what kind of outcome(s) you'd get, similar to newborn 2nd Gen pups. (The October litter only had different blankets, though; the pups themselves all looked the same, unlike 2nd Gens.)
There's been quite a few litters on CS that developed similarly.
The first to do this were the August 08 Balloon dogs, with pink, blue and purple blanket designs for the three outcomes.
Equimagine horse litters were depicted by horseshoes on the adoption page, and after adopting you ended up with several different newborns which often grew into only one or two outcomes, so you knew fairly early if you missed anything. (There's exceptions, though, like the RBM litter, which was a nightmare to keep track of xD)
And quite recently there was a butterfly wolf litter that gave you yellow, red and blue caterpillars.

[I just got another tree for my hoard! And for a pretty good deal.

Thank god, I thought I'd never get anywhere with it.


And I've set most of my less sentimental hoards for a goal of 100, but I don't think I'll be able to just end this one. I don't want it to be never-ending like my Rottie hoard, but it's gotta have more than 100 pets; it's way more meaningful to me than most of the others.

I don't think I even HAVE a spare anymore. I've seen some people hoarding this one or the entire litter :3

I have the number I want, but I want to make it a patterned hoard so I need to ID and outcome swap some, and it'd be helpful if someone has a whole bunch I can just swap with x3

Been hoarding this litter, with the PPS being my favorite (so far). Surprisingly hard to get a hold of these current month dogs. Up to 109 but hoping to get much more.
