Dragon Delights { the JMD cafe }

Ara quickly stood up and followed Divine with her eyes. What's wrong? she wondered. Ara looked around the cafe and spotted Neige, which made her smile. She shook her head softly and continued searching for the reason Divine left. Her gaze fell upon Paradise. Ara walked over to her, "May I ask for your name?" she asked, a barely noticeable dark tone in her voice. She smiled to seem friendly.

Paradise looked up slowly at Ara, her eyes vacant and dull. She was too miserable to actually cry. She just felt hollow and ohgodwhat inside. She couldn't read Ara's face, but she was on high alert after finding out Divine was a Xianthus. Anybody in here could want her gone, anybody could be a Xianthus, including this dragon.
But she was an honest dragon, even if her father had used his purple jewel powers and lying ability to get rich. And get revenge on the Xianthuses.
"My name," she whimpered as she started to tremble all over, "Is Paradise.........Paradise. It's Paradise. And I'm s-so s-sorry for what m-my dad d-id..."
Paradise Morado slammed her head on the table with a sob, the tears finally coming. When she looked up again the fur on her cheeks was soaked. She looked like a puppy expecting to get kicked; more miserable than she'd ever been.

Ara pitied Paradise, she looked so sad. Ara knew sadness very well. "Calm down, no need to apologize. Especially not for your father's deeds. My father did some bad things to overcome his opponents, but I will not apologize for him..." she said, she put her hand on Paradise's shoulder to comfort her. "He isn't here anyways." she said very softly. "I am Ara, nice to meet you." Ara's voice was smooth and kind.

Paradise gulped and nodded, relieved out of her mind that Ara didn't seem to want to hurt her. She was about to profusely thank Ara for her sympathy (and perhaps sparing her if she was given enough time) but two burly JMDs came up on either side of her from behind, each grabbing an arm and hauling her out of her seat. Paradise could see a communicator on one bearing the Xianthus family crest. She let out a loud yelp as they started dragging her off, but they ignored her completely. For a moment her jewels lit up with a green light, and there was a faint rumble, but then Paradise looked extremely terrified and cut off her jewels' powers and went slack in the guards' arms. They pulled her outside, stuck her in a limo, and drove away from the cafe.

Ashe walked through the door, a small grin on his face. He hadn't been to the cafe in a while, which was sad since he loved the little place. Looking around, smiling at the familiar shapes and many faces he didn't know. The cafe was always a good and friendly place to meet new friends and talk to complete strangers, but always ending quite well.

A scowl crossed the female's face and she turned around, seeing a male dragon walk in [ Ashe ]. Wasn't it already crowded enough in here without someone else joining? With hostile eyes, she walked - or you could say stalked - up to Ashe with her gaze sharply and rather unfriendly as she glared at him. ''What's your name, ugly?'' she snapped at him, the height of bad manners but at the moment Fraise simply didn't care. What was the worst thing that could happen to her? Being arrested by the police? Yeah, right, like that was ever going to happen!

Ashe was slightly taken aback by the hostile town, ears flattening to his head. Though, as he usually did, took a deep breath and perked his ears back up, a small smile reappearing on his face. "I'm Ashe, Ashe Brennan Commerant." he said, in a unnatural and slightly fake cheery tone. He held his hand out formerly, as one usually did, at least he did. "May I inquire who you may be?" he asked, slightly hoping that she wouldn't strike back at him, but prepared for the inevitable.

Huh, so was this another one of these friendly dudes, hmm, who never got angry? The smile surprised Fraise, when she insulted someone the female was more used to seeing a scowl of anger or frown of disappproval. Her lips turned down ever so slightly as the other dragon told her his name ; Ashe, a name that she hadn't heard before. ''Ashe? What type of name is that?'' she asked, mild interest shadowing Fraise's tone of voice as she spoke before a pair of eyes darted down doubtfully at Ashe's extended hand. She had never understood the point of shaking hands, it seemed stupid to her so the female didn't take it, letting her own hands stay at her sides. ''My name's Fraise,'' she muttered, still unfriendly though no where near as hostile as she had been before. ''It means 'strawberry' in French.''
