Do you know or have weird phobias?

I hate it when people touch my feet, or my hands...
Any sort of physical contact also freaks me out...

I don't think it has a name, but I have a phobia of open-backed stairs. I have like, panic attacks.

I am terrified of those types of stairs too. It's my slight fear of stairs and my fear of heights mingling together. I see the floor through the steps and I freak out. Same with see through stairs like ones of made of glass.

So do I. For me it's any of those similar stinging insects, like bees, wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, etc.

We had pulled a prank on her. Put cottonballs on the tables and when she walked in, she couldn't get out because the doorknobs on the inside were completely covered in them.

She got terrified and extremely angry but she's one of those fun teachers and also went along with it. XD

I've officially diagnosed myself as emetophobic.


~ fear of animals who vomit
~ fear of anesthesia – due to vomiting as a side-effect (had this for a while now)
~ fear of television and movies (only ones with vomit)
~ fear of others’ coughing, burping, touching their stomachs, looking pale, saying they don’t feel well



When emetophobics encounter someone who is vomiting, or feels ill, they will:
~ panic immediately
~ feel nauseous themselves and be convinced they will also vomit
~ run away at high speeds, despite risk to personal safety or the well-being of their children
~ refuse to remain in the house, car or enclosed place with the sick person even if it is their own child or a family member who “needs their help”
~ if trapped, close their eyes and plug their ears (sometimes for an entire night)

If emetophobics feel nauseous, or believe for some other reason they may vomit they will often:

~ refuse to eat or drink (they think they can’t vomit if their stomach is empty)
~ refuse to go near a toilet or other receptacle, or refuse to be anywhere else for unusually long periods of time

Also, I can't eat frosting because of this. Frosting scares me.
