Shiner opened one eye and looked at the mare most of her head was dyed red so it was slightly harder for her to see

"You're alive!" Ásta gasped. She was glad that she was awake now. "Hello, I am Ásta," she said with her soft, Icelandic accent,"and you? You gave me quite a scare, my friend."

"I'm Shiner" Shiner said in a voice that was barley more than a whisper

"Hello Shiner," she nickered,"We should probably get off this beach and find shelter." She nudged Shiner and took a few steps.

Sacred Spirit

Spirit looked up, hearing a gasp. Nudging Honesty, he smiled. "I think I hear something, let's go look." His winter coat had already grown, and the stallion looked a little shaggy. He nuzzled Honesty, though, walking towards the sound before he finally saw two mares together, one badly hurt. "Hello?" He said curiously, walking towards the two.

Ásta looked up and saw a stallion. She knew enough about stallions to know that they weren't always good ones."Hello, stallion," she whinnied, a bit sharp,"My friend is hurt." She stepped in front of her, protecting her, just in case he had any ideas.

Sacred Spirit

Spirit watched the mare's defensive display with his blue eyes, staying quiet for a moment. At her words, he narrowed his eyes. "I can see that." He said, just as sharply. "I'm Sacred Spirit, and you two are?" He asked them, arching an eyebrow. His tail gave a flick, and he snorted softly. He smelt no stallion on them, and knew that meant that they were unprotected, which was probably the reason for her defensiveness. "Relax. I won't attack you." He stated quietly.

She sighed and lowered her head, letting her guard down. They were safe— at least from him. "I am Ásta. This is Shiner," she softly said,"I have just crashed here, and I am sure she did, too."

Spirit snorted softly, chuckling. "I see." He said, not sounding very surprised. "This island brings a lot of shipwrecks. Welcome." He himself was not born here, but he had gotten here by swimming, and not by boat. "Hello, Asta, Shiner." He gave them a soft nod. "This island holds many dangers. Perhaps you two would like to join my herd?" He asked the two of them, looking behind him to see if Honesty was coming along well.

She knew that he was right about the dangers... There were no predators in Iceland, so she didn't know how to protect herself from those. But she didn't want a foal! And she was sure that that was what he wanted."Spirit, you said there were many dangers?" she asked,"What are they?" She knew that she could survive their so-called "winters", but she knew that she would have to go with a stallion sooner or later, even if it was against her own will.
