(Ill just go ahead and start off)
The boat swayed, a little too roughly. Ásta braced herself as a storm drew near, and hoped that she would make it out of here alive. She was being shipped off to her new owner—"In America," is what the humans had said. She would miss her mother, her brother. Her little baby brother... He always looked up to her. All in one moment, lightning struck the boat and she could smell the fire eating up the walls around her. She knew it was drawing closer by the second. She screamed out to the humans, hoping they would hear her and break her free of the captivating stall that she was standing in. After what seemed like hours, the flames were engulfing the whole ship, so she kicked with all her might at the stall door— no luck... She tried again, and this time it broke right off. She galloped on the higher deck, and there were sailors every where, doing all they could to stop it. She leaped off the deck, and smacked into the water, desperately paddling for her life. Across the horizon, she spotted a little bump of dry land, and that sparked her hope. She paddled even faster in the frigid waters, to keep alive. The cold reminded her of home. It made her feel comfortable, in an odd way. After a long time, she felt the sea floor beneath her hooves, soft and welcoming. Once she got to dry land, her knees gave in and she collapsed in the soft, white sand. She dreamed of home, of her family, and of her new life ahead.
