Ren shook his head slightly and smiled. "That's not very nice." He responded to her comment on beating him to a pulp. He heard a small shot, like a gun, and felt something sharp hit his arm. "ow. ow, ow, ow!" He hissed as he yanked it out.

Athena heard the shot and looked back to Ren who was yelling pain. "what happened?" She asked.

Dr. Alex smiled as he pulled down the tranquilizer gun and saw that he has successfully shot one of the bird kind. He knew it would only be a few seconds before her would fall from the sky and into a mess of Erasers to take him back to the school.

"what the..." he twirled the dart in his fingers, and felt like all his energy had just gotten sucked out of him by a vacuum cleaner. "crap." he muttered, his wings going limp.

[tavros.]

Hiro hissed and looked back to the ground, wondering how he hadn't seen anything. He was breathing kind of heavily already, and he knew that if he got hit he would just be a liability. He curled into the fetal position and let himself drop, trying to get close enough so that he would be able to see who was shooting. He snapped his wings open when he was about 200 feet from the ground, and he instantly spotted a whitecoat with a dart gun, and a whole pack of Erasers. He growled and surged upward, going fast enough that whoever was shooting wouldn't be able to lock in on him. He came up underneath Jinx as Ren began to fall, "Whitecoats and Erasers. Tranquilizer darts," he said shortly.

Shaking my head I continued flying with a small smile until looked over at him and saw what he'd yanked out of his arm. "FLY UP! GET OUT OF RANGE!" I prayed that they weren't tranquilizers because that would no doubt spell trouble for us. My suspicions were confirmed as Ren started dropping fast and I quickly wrapped my arms around him trying my best to get us both out of range fast enough.

Ren felt the girl catch him and helped a bit, fluttering his wings a little to gain altitude, but he was getting sleepy and the world was getting grainy.

Dr. Alex Saw the Bird Kids fly higher and shot more darts at them, this time slightly less accurate.

Athena flew higher as Fang had said. She heard a dart wiz past her ear, too close for comfort.
