Ren smiled softly when she kissed his cheek and followed her into the sky. When he heard Athena, he was done. Done with his flick members getting lost, or stolen, or killed. The teen took off in the direction of the school, betting knight had wanted to save Riley.

Athena followed Fang to Ren, Tears starting to well in her eyes.

Ren shook his head, ripping his arm from her grasp and shooting ahead of her, flying as fast as he could. He was blinded by worry and fear and anger. Ren wouldn't let anyone close to him get lost again.

I was torn. I wanted so badly to go after him but I'd promised Hiro that I wouldn't leave him so I stayed. As soon as I could I would go after him but until then I would have to wait.

Hiro flew straight to Jinx when he heard what Athena had said, grabbing her hand timidly. He hovered for a moment, then pulled on her arm in the direction Athena and Ren were going. "C'mon, mo--Fang," he said quietly. Dang, he'd almost called her mom again. Why did he keep doing that? Oh well, there were more important things to do right now, what with Knight missing now, too.

Ren felt Athena against him and watched the ground timidly. No erasers. A good sign. He veered to the left, knowing the girl would follow.
