Hiro opened his eyes and looked up at Jinx softly. He nodded, returning to his silent, normal self for the time being. His feathers furrowed up out of their own will, his wings sharing the same need to fly as the others.

Jess smiled, liking the idea of a flight. Now that all the tension was gone, she didn't really want to be cooped up in this cave any longer.

Smiling softly I released him from my hold and stood slowly. I walked towards the cave's entrance fully intent on feeling the wind under my wings. Before I left, I hesitated and looked over at Ren. "Even though I shouldn't let you, you can come fly too. Just, don't stay out too long and if you start feeling funny, I want you back inside this cave or I'll beat the living hell out of you."

Athena let a small giggle when Fang got after Ren. And although she did want to fly with them she was a little tired from carrying back all the food. So she decided to stay in the cave.

Ren smiled slightly and got up, starting over to the cave entrance. He stayed a little bit behind Fang, wanting her to go first.

Knight flew a while then began to slow down as he neared the school. 'I'll get Riley. I might not know her well, but she is part of the flock', Knight told himself as he fulled his hood over his head.

As I looked down at the long drop below me, I didn't even bat a lash before falling head first. I was plummeting to the ground and I could feel the wind whipping all around me. The ground came closer and closer until it seemed as if I would have no chance of opening my wings and surviving, but I did this often, I loved the thrill. I snapped my wings open and shot up into the sky, flying through clouds that left me slightly damp, and just enjoying the feeling. When everything was lost, and I'd feel as if there was no chance of me ever being able to simply live, I would fly and just know that even though I spent much of my life on the ground, I belonged up in the air. When I flew, I didn't feel like a freak. When I flew, I felt like all of my walls would come down. When I flew, I felt...perfect.

Hiro followed suit after Jinx, diving into the air and unfurling his wings at the last second. He flew a few meters below her and a few meters back, making sure to keep his distance but not so far behind as he usually flew. He soared up through a large cloud, but he didn't get wet, and when he looked back down at it there was a Hiro-sized hole. It seemed his new power was also useful in flying.

Ren followed taking off after them. The wind swirled happily through his feathers and he smiled, spiraling up above Fang. He didn't seem to be gimpy while flying.

Without warning I tucked my wings in and dropped like a stone enjoying the feeling of simply falling through the air. Why I enjoyed falling to my potential death was beyond me but I did anyways. My heartbeat seemed to slow and I closed my eyes feeling the wind swirl around me. It was so peaceful, just moving through the air like that and even though I knew I'd have to stop at some point, I could always do it again.

Ren pinned his wings to his sides and plummeted down, trailing behind Fang. Something caught his eye, a small flick of movement in the forest. He looked over, trying to focus even though the world was zooming by.
