Athena watched, wide eyed, as Hiro latched onto Fang and began to cry. She then noticed the air around her slowly warm backup again.

Hiro had to wait a few minutes before he was able to speak, and even then his voice was rough and dry, but he needed to say something. "Do-on't do that a-again..." he croaked, drying his eyes and looking up at her. "D-don't leave me!" he cried. The air fluctuated again, getting really humid and making it exceedingly hard to breathe, especially in his current state. Somehow, he had a feeling that, just like with the cold, this wouldn't go away by him changing locations.

Ren felt the air get hot, and frowned, attempting to fan them with his wings.

I was so focused on Hiro that I didn't even notice the changes in the air around us. Instead, I nodded and kissed his forehead gently. "Alright, I won't leave you unless I absolutely have to and even then, I'll do my best to get back to you as soon as possible." I gave him a reassuring smile then used my thumb to wipe away stay tears that wet his cheeks. It had never occurred to me that he really enjoyed my presence. I simply believed that he tolerated me more than the others. Now that I knew he needed me, I would be reluctant to leave him especially if it resulted in tears.

The instant she kissed his forehead and uttered those words, his tears ceased and his sobbing quieted to brief hiccups. As soon as he stopped crying, the air returned to it's normal state. He smiled softly at Jinx, holding her as close as he possibly could.

And now he has a power. He can control the atmosphere around him, but not the weather :3 aren't I fancy?]

Glad that the unscheduled emotional breakdown was over, I wrapped my arms around Hiro's small body and sighed. The child had all but given me a heart attack and I never wanted to go through that again. Instead of trying to comfort him with words, I ran my fingers through his hair and hummed a tune that I was quite partial to. If my memory served me correctly, the song's name was Iris and it was originally by a band called the Goo Goo Dolls although I preferred the Sleeping With Sirens rendition. Something about the song and it's beautiful lyrics comforted me in the same way flying did.

I felt the need for more drama...no idea why, but it was fun~]

Hiro closed his eyes as he listened to Jinx hum her favorite song. He knew it was her favorite because she would always be listening to it. He felt warm and happy; it was nice to be content with his life, even if it was short-lived. He wished everyone could always be this way, with no worries and no fears. But that was impossible, especially with Riley still gone. He hadn't talked to her much--actually, he hadn't talked to anyone much, but he hoped he could change that.

Athena calmed down a bit as the air neutralized once again.

After I was positive that Hiro was emotionally stable I stopped my humming and sighed softly. "Would you like to go out and catch some air?" My wings were becoming more and more fluttery with each passing second. Flying was something I needed to stay sane at and the moment I felt as if I were anything but. First Hiro had cried, then Riley's absence was weighing down on everyone leaving us all feeling terrible. The skies were calling for me and I wanted so badly to answer.

Ren had his wings wrapped around him, closing his eyes for a few moments as Fang hummed her song. He heard her ask if Hiro wanted to go outside and his wings ached longingly. Of course she'd push him back in here if he tried to even step outside.
