How many hoards do you guys have?
I have 10 ._.
I've got a lot xD 19 active, 8 finished/got too bored of. 2 I'm considering starting. But! There's a few, like this one and this one that I actually wasn't even trying to trade for. The rat one is mostly full of gifts I got of them, same with the horses c: I just noticed I have enough for a hoard and.. make one xD This one was the same way. I had over 50 of those lions! So why not make it a hoard? And any gifts/trades I get with them in it just go there ^^;
I've also got three rare+ hoards, White February Dogs (Not going as well as I'd hoped 'xD), '12 Halloween Moon Tree Dogs, And my only List Hoard (Which I may change. I've got my eye on the Dark Wood Dogs cx') Dark Gray Tag Huskies. These are the one's I'm laziest about 'xD I love getting new ones, but I'm not constantly looking for them like my Commons hoards and such. They're hard to get! I'm actually out of List fodder for my Tag Huskies :c I've got plenty for the other two, but I just had to hoard high in demand rares so they're incredibly hard to get. But I can't tell you how happy I am when I get a new one for it ^^
My two biggest hoards are my Owls, which is another hoard I've gotten mostly through gifts, then my very first hoard "PPS Mess" (I'm so bad with names.) which consists of all the January 2013 PPS dogs - The apple Blanket litter (Minus the grown dog. I made a new hoard for them yesterday here.) and the other PPS from that month (Which is now uncommon! c: )
There's some hoards I start when they're uncommons intentionally, like This one, this one, this one, etc, just so I've got a challenge! And because I love them, but also know I can only get a limited number due to their rarity and looks. It really makes me appreciate them more ^^ And common pets are easy to get, and my Rare+ hoards are really hard to find (Maybe if I stopped trying to hoard high value rares 'xD) so these uncommons hoards also help keep me occupied c:
I've only been hoarding for 6 months, and I start a new one each month. Since my first hoard, PPS Mess (Link above.), I've loved hoarding! It's so rewarding ^^ To hit big numbers like 25, 50, even 100 is a major accomplishment. The large number of hoards I have make that even more of a challenge, and even more fun for me c: Like, if I can't find a certain hoard pet or I just get bored of looking for it, I can jump to another and start looking for that one and then repeat that with them all. Why do I start a new one each month? ... Why not? cx'

March 1, March 2, March 3, and March 4
April 1, April 2, April 3 (just decided to start this one last week, though), April 4 (retiring this one when I get three more), April 5 (With one March pup included in the hoard And April 6
May 1, May 2 (Same litter, but this is a group for the single outcome, May 3 and May 4.
And for June I'm considering hoarding This pup (Maybe even the entire litter), and these cats ^^
I keep up with them by putting "AH." in front of my "Active Hoards" (get it?) and just "H." in front of my old hoards. I organized my groups like that - "M." is monthly, "K." is keeping, "T." is trades, etc - and since most of them are pretty new it's easy to keep track. I usually look for one at a time to make it easier for myself, but sometimes I'll look around for 3 or more at a time (Since most of them are pets from the past 6 months). And, of course, they're all on my wishlist cx
I really don't know why I hoard so many pets xD It's fun for me, though c: And it surely keeps my attention when I've got nothing else to do. It's pretty rewarding as well, getting a new hoard pet even if it's Very Common. And hey, maybe in a few years some of them will turn rare - more fodder for new hoards! xD
If you read all that, I applaud you, seriously xD When it comes to my hoards, I type a lot. I figured some explaining was in order, and it's nice to be able to talk about why I started some of these and how well they're going ^^ /Finally ends very long post
