My mother's job has been doing a bunch of themed days. Now at home she is willing to flaunt and in her words "embrace it". She is also willing to have the pictures all over facebook and laugh about them and everything. But it comes to being in public in our tiny town. She suddenly chickens out, and will not do anything for herself. Makes me so mad.

MAYBE IF WE ENFORCED THAT LITTLE LAW AGAINST J-WALKING THIS WOULDN'T BE TRUE.... not sorry about the caps lock.... but seriously, it is illegal to j-walk but you can j-walk right in front of a squad car and nothing happens. I am tired of misconceptions about introverts. Really am.

And then there's the fact that my mother "confronted" me yesterday about how I "insulted" my grandmother.

It's about time you learned just how things have gone for me my whole life, mother. It's unfair that I am the one who always needs to change herbehavior-herthoughts-hermindset-hereverything just to appease our family.

I won't do it anymore.

If I am acting so "baaaaaaad," if our whole family thinks I have some sort of attitude and that I "never want to interact with anyone," then all of you are the ones who need to change. Because none of those things are true.

I won't try to mold myself into someone I'm not, someone you approve of and can "understand" ANYMORE.

You will meet me in the middle and we will understand each other, or I will just be myself and screw you all. I don't give a damn anymore.

when people usually say "i don't want you to get mad / angry / hurt" before they say something
it's actually really rude and hurtful. as if saying that you don't want to hurt my feelings gives you the 'okay' to stab my self esteem in the heart.
