• • • I grotted my teeth in worry. He was in very bad condition! I put my paw onhis chest. His heartbeat was unsteady and quick. And his breathing was slower then ever. "Just stay there...." I mewed, ignoring his every word. "I'm here..." paniced, I looked around through the tall grass. I couldn't smell any wolves, but I didn't smell any cats either....

Gingerspots came out from the bushes hissing. "What is that horrid sound?" she growled to Rivershade and Frostclaw. "It sounds like a dying rabbit..." she hissed, knowing the sound of hunting rabbits. She shook out her longer fur, spotted with leopard-like prints almost. She sighed, looking in the distance, just wanting to tell Rivershade...

Spadestar frowned at her, twitching his ear. "Hey don't panic, I'll still have eight lives after this. What kind of leader would I be if I didn't die at least once for my friends?" He closed his eyes with a sigh as he felt death flood over him. For a moment that seemed like forever, everything was still. Then the Waterclan leader found himself in the ranks of Starclan, a faint outline of his own self staring back at him. He felt and eerie presence and glanced back to see a few Dark Forest cats glaring at him from their places in the dark woodland. Spadestar glared back at them before sighing, nodding to the ranks of Starclan as he felt reality begin to sink in again.

• • • My heart raced as the toms breathing was cut off. NO!! I screamed in my head. I let my paws run through the ruffled fur on his chest. No... What was it about him? About me!? I gritted my teeth as Spadestar lost a life. What were these feelings inside me!? No! I couldn't feel this way about a cat from another clan! But.... Spadestar was losing a life! How could I let this happen!? "Rrrroooooww!!!" I let out a wail, just as a Crack of Thunder and Lightinjg clashed over head. And now I'm realizing.... I have feelings for Spadestar...

Spadestar felt paws on his chest as lightning cracked overhead. He opened his eyes slowly, spotting Eaglestar leaning over him. He smiled faintly, "Hey.."

Tawnypaw watched Eaglestar, it came to him as she yowled over Spadestar. She likes Spadestar! he thought in horror, she couldn't it wasn't allowed. ESPECIALLY between 2 leaders!!! he thought. He tried to stand but was too weak, his leg was bleeding badly and there was also a huge gash through his shoulder and across his ribs. He looked to the gash and was horrified to see the white of bone. His vision began to flicker and his breathing became slower.

Owlflight padded around the clearing, not sure what to do. He looked around at all of the cats in camp, wondering what would become of them.When would they separate into their own clans, and when would the wolf attack be over? He shook the thoughts from his head, knowing that there was no use in dwelling on the unknown. As of right now, he would just make himself useful and defend any attack that might come his way.

• • • I flinched as a sudden sound erupted from a bush after the half-silence of torrental rain and distant screams. It always startled me when there was a sudden sound. Even more then a normal cat, as my blindness didn't let me see them coming or anything! I looked over in relief as I faintly scented Gingerspots. I could barely hear anything over the rain, barely even her words. But, through it all, the screams rang with three farmiliar voices... "It's not a rabbit!" I called to her over the rain. I turned my soaked face back in the direction of the screams. My eyes widened in horror as it struck me who they were. "It's Eaglestar! And Tawnypelt, and...." It took me a moment to figure out the third cat, as I hadn't heard his voice much. He was from a different clan, so it's reasonable... "Spadestar!" I shouted in fear. They were getting torn apart by wolves! Without thinking, I began to bound towards the voices, and towards the shore. It was probably to late, but we had to try! "Come on!" I shouted over my shoulder.

• • • I looked down at the voice. It took a moment to regester in my brain that he wads alive... I'd never been with another leader exceot in a gathering, and I defenetly never saw one lose a life! To me, my initial thought was the was gone... But I smiled widely as my friend's voice came. I gave a soft squeal of relief and joy. Takeing a step back, I rose to my full hieght. "Come on!" I mewed aloud, "We still have an apprentice to save!"
