I apologize to everyone waiting on the acceptance post, especially having missed last week. I'm on vacation at the moment and will have it up by Monday at the latest. Thanks for your patience. c:

I suppose there are different reasons for this. For instance, I've been influenced by several literate works due to the author's style, but I've also explored coming up with my own and putting together combinations of both. The poems I write came naturally over time, so I consider that my own style, while as my vocabulary in short stories and novels are thanks to schooling and discovering them from favorite reads. It really is interesting, but I can see why this happens.

Yeah, I suppose that's quite true. My writing style has changed drastically ever since I discovered Tolkien and his works, as I learned a lot of my vocab from the Lord of the Rings. ;P
Sometimes I like to think that writing is a sort of adventure; sometimes you can see the end extremely clearly and you can stride confidently towards it, at other times you find yourself stumbling in the dark, and you have to find your way out and just keep going as you have no idea how your story is going to end. And of course,we often find ourselves fighting the dreaded writer's block, do we not? X'P
I've been inspired by many works of literature to develop the writing style I have today; funny how many different writing styles are out there.

Yup yup.
One of the lines was:
What are we to do in this wretched plot?
Staying down here we are sure to rot.
That was one of my friend's lines, and she was all like, "I DON'T WANT MY LINES TO RHYME!" And then I got bored and decided to just go back to regular play format.
i like dragon capitalism a lot lmao

So, change of plans. I just walked into a pretty big mess which used to be my home, and won't have access to a computer for who knows how long. I would really appreciate it if one of the mods would be willing to judge the forms for me, unless those of you waiting are able to hold off until I get back.

So, I've got a new
book up online, the entirety of a project I finished a few years ago. 'tis not my best, but it's still somewhat entertaining, if you like this sort of thing:
At the creation of the island of Aerema, the goddess Ryath chose one animal to rule over the land forever-more. She searched far and wide to find the perfect being on which to place the crown -
Yeah, that's not how it happened. Really, the one who can do the job gets the job, after alli s said and done, plotted and schemed, twisted and turned. Through magical accidents, murder attempts and mysterious allies, plots are unravelled and a kingdom is formed.
This story includes magic, snow, elven animals, wolves, panthers, revealed identities, books of magic, crowns, snakes, evil tyrant crocodiles ... among a myriad of other things.
INSANELY BUSY!
I am moving! For the next month or so, I am going to be so very busy.
If I'm on here, it's because I'm unwinding with writing or pets or whatever.
Please do not add to my stress, if you can. Your support is appreciated.

So.
It's been a LONG time since I've even checked this thread.
I think I need to start writing again, if I ever want to get into a good school later on.
What do you guys do to come up with new topics, and how do you not get distracted?
.//.
I may try to write a book soon.
*fingers crossed*

Why do I not have more time in my life to write? ;A;
It's such a stress reliever. I turn to my characters and pour all my energy into them when I need to distract myself from my own life, and I love to do so. But WHY has it become a chore to even do this? I realized a few months ago that I haven't been devoting enough of my time to writing, especially when I intend to write a novel one day. So I've tried to force it, a little too much I suppose. I guess there's no happy medium for me.
I get in moods where I can write and write, nonstop and just let the ideas flow even when I know the writing itself isn't perfect. But it feels so good to just let it all out like that. And then I read over what I've written later and realize how terrible it is, and end up scrapping projects where there may truly be some potential. Ack. I just need to stop overthinking this and trust my instincts!
