MEMORY ADELE BLACK
➳ eighteen ;; mems ;; darkness ;; she's in love, but he doesn't know
The sound of footsteps approached towards the table Memory was sitting at. She lifted her head in surprise to see who it was. Nobody ever came to sit with Harley and her, but here was Shaun, walking towards their table, with Six, his brother, walking twice Shaun's speed to reach the table. Once they had arrived, Six stuck out his hand, greeting Harley. She took his hand and shook it. Memory watched them, rolling her eyes at the two. Harley was being awfully friendly, but she was probably just glad Nico wasn't with Regina, as was Memory. Nico had turned to watch his sister as well, turning his back towards Memory. Gingerly, Memory pulled down the sleeves of her leather jacket, afraid the purple bruise on her wrist would show. Memory didn't want him to see it, as she had only told Harley when they were in middle-school. Nobody really could know, or she would have to explain she whole life's story. She had tried to cover it up with make-up this morning, but as usual, her father had kicked her out the door before she could finish. Only maybe a quarter of it was covered by the make-up, but it was still decently big.

Sighing, Memory heard Harls introducing her and Nico to the boys. She waved at them, faking a smile. It wasn't that she dis-liked the boys, which she really didn't, honestly. Memory was just a in pretty terrible mood for the last day of school, which should be a happy day. Although, Memory never did really did have an entirely happy day. Tapping her fingers on the table, Memory watched as her darkness started to come out, as expected. It just happened when she was sad or pissed, which she was both at the moment. It twisted around her fingers, and over the table. Memory wasn't really sure if it was invisible to the others or not, but right now, she really couldn't care less. It crept over the cafeteria floor, over to the popular table. Memory's darkness wrapped around the table legs, causing their table to shake. It wasn't that much of a shake that the table could fall over. It was just enough to scare them a bit. Regina and her Barbie dolls were sitting directly on the table when it started to shake, knocking them off. Regina fell on the seat, hard, and Memory laughed. She covered her mouth after she did it, not wanting to show that she did it as Regina scanned the room.

Turning away from their table, Memory held her hands in front of her, waiting for the darkness to come back to them. Slowly, it did, creeping back into her finger tips, wrapping around her hands. After a minute or two, it finally went into her totally, giving Memory that lurking feeling again. It was probably longer then that though, because the bell had rung, signaling school was over. Harley and Nico still seemed to be talking to the two boys and two more people who had come probably after Memory had tuned out. She stood up, letting her jacket leaves fall down even more and waited for Harley and Nico. Once they had arrived beside her, Memory smiled at them and led the way out the school. Everyone else behind the three of them were celebrating, but Memory didn't really have to time for that. She just wanted to go home and wait for tonight, so she could wreak the barbie doll's perfect little party. The three best friends walked out of the school, with Memory smiling. She turned around and gave Harley a hug and smiled at Nico. "Bye guys, see you later!" She yelled, and ran towards her car.

>> okay guys! sorry if you weren't ready, but school's over and we are now gonna time-skip to the party. (: also, I've had a person quit the roleplay, so the female for wind/air is open! the people who have not yet posted will either lose their spots by tomorrow, or they'll just have to make a big post and catch up. and again, would you like me to post the party post now, or wait until you all have posted a 'end of school' post? I just don't wanna give you to much. (:

MEMORY ADELE BLACK
➳ eighteen ;; mems ;; darkness ;; she's in love, but he doesn't know
The bright ceiling light shinned on Memory as she dressed for Regina's party. Well, really, she was dressing to crash Regina's party. The outfit Memory had chosen was not really what she would ever wear in front of Regina, because that would earn her some not so nice comments, but hey, how else was a girl supposed to get into a party? Sighing, Memory pulled on the black dress that she had picked out. It had a sheer floral design on it, and a collar that made her feel a bit more covered. To make herself better, Memory had paired it with her black combat boots, her leather jacket, and a black fedora. Moving over to the black framed mirror in her room, Memory added on the jewelry she wanted and applied her makeup on. She'd gone extra heavy on the eyeliner and mascara, but not to the point where it looked bad. It was only a lot heavier then what she usually had on.

Stepping back, Memory pulled down her dress and looked into the mirror. Surprisingly, she didn't look bad. She looked quite pretty, and who knows, maybe she could get into Regina's party easily. Smiling lightly at herself in the mirror, Memory turned around. She pulled down her jacket, covering up the bruise again. Her makeup didn't like her that much after she took a shower and she couldn't get the makeup on correctly. And to add to her luck, it ran out. So, Memory was just going to have to pull her jacket down a lot tonight. She had to make sure no one saw it, because none of them, except for Harley, would understand. She'd just have to explain how after her mother died, her father blamed everything on her and basically since she was 4, abused her. I'd gotten worse as she continued to grow, but she was smarter now and knew how to sneak out without him seeing her and avoid him most of the time.

Grabbing her phone off of the bed, Memory dialed Harley's number and called it. Her best friend answered on the second ring. "Hey Harls, I'm ready for the party. Dad's on a business trip right now, so I can stay late if needed. You ready?"

He only stood for a moment, watching the napkin tumble down the hallway, not even noticing that another girl had joined them. She introduced herself as Roni, though he barely heard it. What was it with girls and boys names? Harley, Roni, it was kind of weird. Shrugging he let the napkin stop tumbling down the hall and sink to the floor limp and lifeless. His eyes instead focused on a boy who just, well, melted out of the shadows. He raised an eyebrow at the boy who was watching the group. Another shadow-bender, like Memory. “Guess there’s a set of each then,” he muttered under his breath, not loud enough for anyone else to hear. A male and female of each element. But where was his counterpart then? Six and Harley were both energy, that much was obvious. Nico and this other girl, Roni, they were metal. This stranger boy and Memory were darkness. But where was the other air?
He shrugged nonchalantly, it didn’t really matter did it. As far as he knew, nobody knew that he was even a bender. Benders besides Nico tended to get bullied. Me? I tended to dish out the brawls, and to me, air was an easy thing to manipulate. He could adjust the wind in his favor to hear a conversation, hell he could even pick people up and throw them with it if I wanted. Not that he did that often, but he’d figured out he could a while ago. Either way, he kept his element so low key he doubted anyone knew him.
The dark-haired boy shook him head and refocused his gaze, realizing he’d become lost in thought while staring at the strange shadow-boy. “Hey, uh, Six. I’m gonna take off, alright?” He turned darks eyes to his friend who nodded silently. Six understood when Shaun got lost in thought and how he disliked people and accepted it without question. “I’ll see you at home alright?”
“Yeah, man for sure. But be ready, we got a party to go to!”
“You know it man,” Shaun grinned. Six liked to party, and he partied hard Shaun knew that just about as much as the next guy. It didn’t matter whose party it was or if he’d been invited, Six would find it, show up and have a killer time. Shaun though? Well, whenever he himself drank he tended to get into a lot more fights than usual.
His grin melted off his face as he turned and walked away from the group, brushing past the shadow boy, Adrian, on his way out.

“Yo Shaun!”
The dark haired boy heard the voice from his room upstairs. “Yeah homie?”
“Thomas and I are heading out to grab some drinks and whatnot. You want anything?”
A rare grin cracked the boy’s face and he left his room to stand at the top of the stairs. “Yeah, you know what I want to drink, but bring me some chips!”
“Chips?” Shaun heard the chuckle in Six’s laugh and imagined him shaking his head. “Alright Tiger, better hop in the shower though, never know when you might hook up with someone at a party!”
Shaun opened his mouth to protest but the door had already slammed closed so he settled for muttered swearing under his breath. Shaun never went for hook-ups, Six knew that as well as he did. Mostly he just went to settle a score with someone, drink or do some drugs. In his opinion hook-ups were stupid and a good way to get things you didn’t want. Besides, even though he tended to be a bully he just wanted someone who would at least try to understand him, not just leave in the morning.
Swearing some more he stalked to the bathroom, flinging his clothes off and hopping under the hot steaming water. He stayed for a good fifteen minutes, manipulating the steam into odd shapes with the hot air currents before he finally washed himself and jumped back out again. He wrapped a towel around his waist and stalked back across the hall to his bedroom to rifle through his clothes. He settled on a pair of loose-fitted shredded black jeans and another concert t-shirt.
“Dude! Let’s go!”
Another small frown and Shaun slipped on a plain black hoodie and stomped down the stairs, through the kitchen and to the front door. He slipped on his shoes and waved a good-bye to Thomas who was staying at home. The door closed behind him and he hopped off the front steps and made his way to Six’s car. It was ridiculously unfair, Six had a beautiful car. A purple dodge challenger. Shaun’s dream car, apparently he and his friend had the same tastes. He slid into the car and it was slammed into reverse.
The party was only just getting started when the boys showed up, music blaring that could be heard from a block away where the boys had parked. Shaun slouched against the car, pulling a pack of smokes out of his pocket he slipped one between his lips and lit it, taking a deep drag and he put the pack and lighter back in his pocket, shoving his right hand in as well. Shaun was a leftie.
“So, do we-“
“It’s Adrian!” Six cut him off and started towards the other dark haired boy.
Shaun just shook his hooded head and followed Six until they were walking next to Adrian. Well, Six was. Shaun trailed a little bit behind, not wanting to talk.

Energy sparked off the boy like no tomorrow. Maybe not visibly, but you sure could feel it in the air, but Six had noticed that whenever Shaun was around. Things just seemed to crackled through air more clearly whenever his brother happened to be around. So Shaun wasn’t exactly his brother, Six had never had a brother, but family wasn’t blood either and Six took Shaun as his brother. “So we’re crashing a party eh?” He questioned cheerfully, nodding to the girl Roni as she introduced herself to the boys.
He followed the conversation lightly, his grin never faltering but widening at the fact that this Nico boy was nicknamed Four and that according to his sister the nickname was now on probation and was threating to be stripped. He laughed slightly at that, two different colored eyes sparkling with laughter and enjoyment. He was aware of Shaun next to him, stiff and unfocused, lost in thought but Six paid no attention to it. It wasn’t anything new to him and Shaun just needed space.
So the girls knew Shaun already, no surprise the kid had a huge reputation. “Yeah, Shaun is pretty much King of Detention,” Six laughed, but it died down quick enough. The girl, Harley, she had bright blue eyes but they were washing out to a silver-gray color. His eyes didn’t change color, didn’t need to as they were already two different colors. His eyebrows furrowed for a second before he shook his head and looked away, feeling like a slight creep. Instead he turned his heterochromatic eyes to the newcomer, Adrian. Shaun had already gone, slightly bumping into Adrian as the boy approached the table.
Six felt his smile fade for a moment, darkness, that had to be a difficult element. The darkness always calling to you, but then again Six had energy and well, when you’ve got so much energy sleep didn’t exactly come easy to a person. It could be noted from the slight shadows under his eyes, but never in his wild personality nor did he ever actually feel tired. But this boy, Adrian, he just looked sombre and Six has seen him before but he always seemed like that.
A voice broke his thoughts and he turned to see Memory walking away from the group waving her good byes. Six gave a small wave before turning back to the rest of the group. “Alright, well, I guess that’s my cue. Besides, I have to go pick up some stuff for the after party,” he winked playfully. “I’ll catch up with you guys later.” With that he turned and walked out of the school.

-----Adrian wasn't sure if he liked company; was he tolerated or welcomed. he never talked to anyone. he didn't latch onto anything. he kept to himself because if he didn't, it was a surefire way for him to be caught. living in an abandoned apartment on the edge of town, working after school to pay for the bus ticket to get to the day-time occupier didn't exactly give him a whole lot of room for friends and fun. not that he minded -- they asked too many questions too often, and always wanted to come over to your house because their parents were just so annoying, and Adrian couldn't risk people visiting his humble abode. he barely scraped by as it was: he definitely didn't need other humans running into his apartment, thinking it was so cool he had his own home despite the reason he got there. Which he made sure not another soul knew, because that would mean his family would go to prison, and after half of the things he'd done as a minor, they would surely tattle, and he would be dragged down to juvey with the rest of them. sometimes, he wished he had never been born, and that his curse would just vanish into thin air.
----- Adrian stared at Six and Shaun. They seemed fairly pleasant, even if Shaun couldn't keep his nose out of trouble. The King of Detention he called himself. If Shaun was the king, Adrian was definitely a peasant. he hardly ever got detention, because if he did, it would mean he was stuck at school with stuck-up humans instead of at work, where he could replace feelings of loneliness with sore-feet and burned hands from using the fryer. it was easier.
----- Adrian certainly wasn't expecting any kind of recognition from the group of three that seemed to have attracted almost all the benders in their entire school. but when harley spoke, he tried extremely hard to cover his surprise, failing miserably. "Hi, Harley," he said. Adrian pulled the shadows tighter around him, glad they were playing nice today. He seemed distant, removed, thoughtful, when really, he was content with nothing going through his mind other than the joy of crashing a party. it was fun to annoy the populars, because they made his life a living hell. He watched Shaun, then Memory leave, before sliding off the bench with a small, "Bye, catch you guys later." he wasn't willing to stick around for awkward conversations of people who didn't really know each other well enough to strike up one.
-------------------------------

----- Adrian walked. the party wasn't all that far from his home, and even if he did take the bus, it wouldn't have stopped near enough for him to make it seem like he was passing by. so he melted into the shadows when he approached the party, hoping to blend in until he saw a familiar, hopefully friendly face.

----- Roni felt like she was invading something. She cursed herself for even coming over to this table. it was definitely a mistake: everybody here already had enough friends. besides Adrian, but he was so distant, it wouldn't matter if she tried.
----- She never hid anything she did, unless it was intentional. so, she stared openly at a distant Shaun, and tried to dissect what he was thinking. watching a napkin tumble down the hall, then looking at Adrian. he was thinking, definitely thinking something. it was rather upsetting to him, even though he wouldn't like to admit it. at least, that's what she thought. it was entertaining for her to pull apart people at their core, and see what they were thinking. it's pitiful that she considered it her favorite pastime, much like a father watching sports on his television.
----- And then there was memory. the girl who controlled shadows -- the shadows that obeyed her every command. The ones that wrapped themselves around table legs, and made everybody sitting around it scream as they fell from their chairs. Roni covered her mouth with her hand, unable to hide her laughter. Memory knew how to have a good time, despite her dark element. When she felt she could sit like a civilized human being, Roni dropped her hand into her lap, and smiled at the table. she'd better not look up, because the populars would think it was her, when it certainly was not. she would never take credit for such a fantastic prank.
----- "I shouldn't be allowed in public," she snickered to herself under her breath.
----- her head jerked upwards when she sort of sensed something metal moving. it was almost a gift of hers, because her sense for metal was finely tuned, if she couldn't always bend it like she wished. Roni's eyes furrowed as she watched his dogtags sway and pull themselves towards his hand, and then suddenly drop like he forgot he could bend metal. She wished she could do that. Then, his eyes flashed open, and he spoke to her. "Hello," she said. she then followed his gaze to Memory, and when she looked back at Nico, he gave her such a disarming smile, her returning one was automatic, and then she had to clear her throat, and look at the retreating Shaun and Adrian's backs.
-------------------------------

----- She had nobody to meet up with, so Roni simply sat on the bench outside the party, pretending she had nowhere to be, and the party didn't matter. though, it was of some importance. if she got lucky, she might actually have a conversation that consisted of her actually speaking to someone without her snarky attitude sending them running for the hills. she swore to herself that she would try to be pleasant.
Sorry I've been gone for so long, guys -- hectic life these past few months. But I should be back for good soon!

J e s s i c a M a l i a S t o n e

Name: Jessica Malia Stone
Age: 17
Element: Earth
Feeling: Curious and Troubled
Crush: None

Wearing

Shirt: xxx
Pants:xxx
Shoes:xxx
Jewelry:xxx
As the bell rang along the school grounds, she just flinched a bit since she gets scared quite easy.Hearing the cheers of the teenagers as they exited and threw paper everywhere, but she just remained calm and started heading out of the school. Stopping by her locker, Jessica grabbed the last of her stuff before leaving, even though she rather stay in the library then go out and party like the others. Which reminded her that there was a party at someones house and she felt like she shouldn't go. Not because she doesn't like partying, but she doesn't want to intrude someones party when she doesn't even know the gal. This went through her mind constantly, even when she walked home, curious if going to this party would just be a mistake.

Entering her home through the door with vines crowded around, she yells," I'm home.." Taking her shoes off and setting her bag on the ground, Jessica sighs and rubs her foot with pain. Taking her stuff up the stairs and into her room, which was in multiple of green colors, but also it had multiple of plants on shelves. " Did you miss me?" She asks to the plants that surrounded her room, but of course they can't reply, but Jessica found it comforting to talk to her own plants. Placing her shoes and bag by her bed, she grabbed a water pot and started pouring some water into the flower pots. Running back down the stairs, she stopped by the kitchen and opened the fridge. Grabbing a bottle of water and a book from her dad's office, she ran to the backyard as usual. Leaping onto the swinging chair, she opens her book and starts reading from the beginning.

Hour later, she was already half way through the book, but she suddenly realized about the party. Using a vine to mark her page, Jessica ran inside again and stopped by her mom, which was cooking something. " What are you cooking? Never mind that. I have a questions and I need you to answer if it's a good idea." She says, standing by her mom while watching her cook. The mom looked towards her daughter," Of course dear, what is it?" She asks, adding seasonings to the meat. Jessica sighed and started helping her mom," Well, one of the kids at the school is having some party, but I hardly know any of the kids and I don't even know if I should go." She says, handing some salt for her mom. Although it was a difficult decision for Jessica, it wasn't for the mother." I think you should go! You'll make friends at the party and I'm sure you'll enjoy it." She says with a smile. Well, that sure helped Jessica and she just sighed and walked back to the back yard. Grabbing her empty water bottle and book, she walks back into the house. Refiling the bottle and putting it back into the fridge, Jessica ran up the stairs with frustration. Party, or not, she wasn't exactly planning to go, but maybe her mother was right about making new friends.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The sun fell and Jessica was still sitting on her bed thinking if she was going, or not. Seems like she's going, but taking a risky chance in her prospective. Walking to her closet, she grabbed multiple of dresses, but they seem a bit, green. Of course there green, it was her color, but she just thought the others would think she dressed up for St. Patrick's day. Just as she got to the end of the row of her clothing, she finally found a descent dress. It was pure white with a green bow across the waste and goes all the way to her knees. White is a pretty bad color for parties, especially when it gets stained. Grumbling, she puts all her dresses back and just grabs nice jeans, shirt, and jacket for the party. Although she was getting second thoughts of going, Jessica just sighs and takes a shower. Don't want to go to a party with dirt all over and the stench of outdoors. About twenty minutes later, she was out and changing into some nice clothing that she didn't mind getting dirty if it happens. Jessica just kept changing her mind like an infant trying to choose a new toy, but she wasn't so happy with all her decisions.

Running down the stairs again, she sighed and left out the door. Not even saying a goodbye, Jessica walked out and sat on the stairs of her front door. Staring off towards the direction of the house that the party was at, she just sighed and watched as the empty neighborhood's lights started turning off. Wondering if everything would really end up with a disaster, or everything would turn out fine. Not wanting to take any of those chances, Jessica just sat on the stairs alone in the evening. Maybe walking to the forest would ease her and it usually does. Getting up, she starts walking to the small forest that laid at the edge of town. Not far from where she lives and that was a huge relief.

Harley smiled in response to Adrian's quiet response, and she watched him with dancing blue eyes as he stood up right after Memory, slipping into the shadows and disappearing. Harley sat for a moment, then followed Memory as everyone else began to slowly leave, excitement coursing through her as the final ring of highschool resounded in her ears. A light, mischievous grin crossed her lips as the girl walked out of the school doors, her eyes brightening at the thought of never having to enter again. She waved quickly at Memory, then walked over to her motorcycle which was next to her twin's. Their father had a client who had payed him with them, and he stated he was to old to use them, so he fixed them up and had them spray paint them the way the color they wanted and made them promise they'd be safe before actually giving them the bikes. Harley and Nico rode them everywhere, and Harley planned to go cross country with it one day, like the drummer from Rush, who had ridden his bike cross-country after his daughter and wife's deaths.

Harley got on, tossing a glance over her shoulder to see Regina clinging to Nico's arm. Rolling her eyes in disgust, Harley turned the key in the ignition, starting her bike. In just seconds, she was suddenly roaring out of the parking lot, heading home to get ready for the party she was participating in crashing.

Harley stared at her outfit in the mirror, her eyes shifting to their silver-grey colour like they tended to when she was excited about something. She could feel her energy element crackling at her fingertips, like lightning, not really bothering her, but sure to shock anyone who grabbed her hand. Suddenly, her phone buzzed, causing her energy to shut off for a moment out of fright. She herself jumped slightly, then remembered Memory had told her she would call her when she was ready. By the time the phone rang again, Harley had crossed from the full-length mirror to her bed, where she picked up the phone right before it could ring again. Memory spoke first, and Harley grinned in response.
"Awesome, do you want me to pick you up or are you driving yourself? Nico already left, and he took the car, so I only have my bike. Oh, and do you want to stay the night? My dad said it's cool if you do." she stated, though that wasn't necessarily the truth, but she knew her dad wouldn't mind. Memory was like a second daughter to him, and he enjoyed when she came over. Adjusting her hair slightly, Harley nodded at her reflection, and switching her position so the phone was squished between her shoulder and her ear, she dug through her closet for her other leather jacket, and pulled it on as she listened for Memory's response.

In moments, she'd bounded down the stairs, checked the time on the microwave (it was nine thirty) and headed to the garage, planted a kiss on her dad's cheek before getting on her bike and pulling out of the driveway and a little way's down the street, all the while patiently waiting for Memory to tell her the plan.

Nico chuckled lightly at Roni's seemingly unprepared smile. She hadn't expected him to grin at her; no one ever did. His eyes danced in response to her smile but before he could speak, the bell rang and Memory was suddenly dashing out, causing his gaze to follow her. He'd wanted to say something, but she seemed to be determined to get out as quickly as possible. Running a hand through his black hair, Nico sat for a moment more before standing and slowly walking out of the school. He was about to catch up to Harley, when he was yanked back by a certain someone. Pursing his lips, he turned around and looked down at Regina. What?" He said icily, his tone annoyed. Regina giggled in response, and tapped his nose with her finger, offering him a devious smile. "Just wanted to remind you that no losers are allowed at my party. So don't be dragging anyone along." She stated staring in Harley and Memory's directions to make a point. Nico rolled his eyes in response and removed Regina's hand from the death-like grip she had on him. "You know as well as I do, that Harley listens to no one. It'll be a miracle if she doesn't come, because she never takes my advice." Regina narrowed her gaze at him and pursed her lips before turning heel and walking away in a haze of perfume and make-up. Nico rolled his eyes and walked over to his bike, strapped on his form-fitting black helmet and got on, revved the engine and sped out of the parking lot.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Nico pushed his hair away from his eyes, while he grabbed the keys from the peg by the door. Harley was taking forever to get ready, and he figured she was riding with Memory or something like that. Her turned into the little workshop their dad had that was only an extension of his car business that Nico and Harley worked at when they had time. "Hey, I'm taking the car to Regina's." His dad looked up, his grey eyes tired. "Alright son. Be careful." Nico nodded his assurance, and walked back through the house so as to not disturb his dad by opening the garage door. He went to the drive-way and pulled open the door to the family car, a '69 mustang and slid gracefully in. Despite the fact that he had a bike, Nico didn't constantly like to ride, like Harley did. He enjoyed taking the car out, though his bike was sometimes easier, especially when it came to parking. But, this old car had a backstory. It'd had been his and Harley's mother's car, and even though she'd dissapeared, she hadn't taken the car. She'd left it, almost like a keepsake, for her kids. Honestly, it was the only thing they had of her. Their dad had no pictures of her, at least not up, but Nico and Harley both knew that Harley was a mini-version of her, due to the look their dad always got whenever he looked at her.

Shaking his head lightly, Nico smoothly pulled out of the driveway and drove to Regina's, listening to the pulsing music that poured out of her huge home. He sighed, and pulled over to the already majorly crowded curb, finding a barely available parking space. It probably would have been smarter to bring his bike, but he had wanted to bring the car instead, and he'd have to suck it up. Running his hand through his hair once more, Nico slowly got out of the car. He could see the pulsing lights that poured out of the windows, and wondered why one of Regina's neighbors hadn't called the cops yet. Then again, she did like in the more isolated, "richer", part of town. Sighing, he walked up the winding driveway towards the house, but before entering, he spotted Roni. A grin spread across his lips, and he walked over, before sitting down next to her.
"Hey Roni. Why aren't you inside yet?" He ask, leaning his head back against the stone wall which was covered in vines, giving it a old-timey cottage look. Well, it would, if it wasn't attached to a huge castle-like home. He listened to the sounds of laughing, drunk kids and the pulsing rave music as he watched the stars, before turning his grey gaze towards Roni, waiting for an answer.
