hmm... I think something with the praefix "royal" would fit nicely....
maybe:
the royal Giants of the forest (RoGiF)
giant wood royals
royal wood giants

or maybe a combination of two descriptive words:
Gia(n)rhins (giant and Rhinoceros)
Roywoods (royal and wood)
Woogies (wood and giant)
