ＯＮＣＥ ＵＰＯＮ Ａ ＴＩＭＥ walt disney, the ultimate dreamer of the world, created a mouse. nothing more than a simple idea and a cartoon artist changed the world. soon, the mouse wasn't so little anymore, and it became the icon for disney movies. his success allowed him to continue making more and more characters and drawings until there were thousands of sketches and movies scattered across the globe. princesses, villains, heroes, and those hilarious sidekicks made their way onto the big screen, and by 1966, disney was huge. unfortunately, this was also the death of the legendary walt disney. although he might have gone, he was never forgotten and nor were the characters in his stories. unknown to the rest of the world, the disney characters lived on as reincarnations of their past life. however, before walt disney's death, he knew he had to keep the characters safe and sound even after he was gone. therefore, he rounded all of the heroes and heroines up and erased their memories of being a disney character. then, walt disney planned to send them to an island, the very island peter pan once lived on. he set up a school and city similar to those in london so that the they would have a place to live. before he could send the characters off the to island, something went terribly wrong. the villains also wanted to live in the haven, so they planned to join the others. to everyone's dismay, it only created chaos. the characters were scattered over the globe, and before walt disney could find them all again, he passed away, leaving them on earth as normal people.

years later, most had become teenagers/young adults living normal lives like everybody else... until a note arrives on their doorstep, that is. one of walt disney's descendants, walter elias disney the third, discovered his grandfather's old work and wanted to finish it. by this time, most of the reincarnations were missing or unable to find, but he managed to gather most of them. in the envelope, walt disney's grandson stated they were being sent to a school for the "gifted." most accept, and soon, the characters are on living on the island for what they think will only be until they graduate from the academy. though, weird things are happening on the island. the remains of many of the old disney movies linger like the talking animals from alice in wonderland and the mermaids from both peter pan and the little mermaid. not to mention the most important secret of them all: the ordinary teenagers aren't so ordinary. but that is all left for them to discover on the island second star to the right and straight on till morning.

the acadmey is a majestic building, which kind of looks a bit like the castles from the disney fairytales like cinderella and snow white. with at least a hundred rooms to explore and discover new things. there are three levels of the gorgeous mansion. the first floor contains thirty classrooms where old background disney characters teach along with a grand library and a beautiful ballroom. in addition, there is a cafeteria and kitchen for the students to eat at. on the second floor, there are about forty bedrooms although only a few are occupied by the students while the rest of vacant and available for use. the third floor is restricted to students. it contains storage of nostalgic antiques from the disney movies. in other words, it has the old set props and everything left from the movies, so every room on the third floor is locked and inaccessible to the students. however, there is more places gathered dust on the grounds, so explorers will always be satisfied.

on the island, there are three distinct parts, and the academy is only part of one: the north. on the east side of the island, there is the beach area. it is land covered in sand, and beyond the beach, there is what seems like a never-ending ocean. in the sea, there are hidden mermaids and pirates. in the west, there lies forest after forest; endless greenery like the woods from bambi and snow white. finally, in the south, there is a kind of desert area. half of it is suitable for living while the other half is deserted and barren. the center holds the town, which contains a café, mall, bowling alley, restaurants, and much more. of course, most of the island hasn't been explored, so who knows what walt disney had in mind for this little "paradise."

activity & reservations
i am going to be extremely, extremely pushy about this rule because i'm just so tired of dead roleplays. if i end up flooding you with pms and bugging you, i'm really, really sorry. if you don't want to be constantly reminded to post, aren't always active, or won't be willing to actively roleplay for at least two months (no, i'm not kidding), then, don't join this roleplay. when reserving a spot, please reserve through pm and don't post your reservations on the thread, or i automatically won't accept you. i will give you twenty-four hours to post your form, and i will give you up to the start of the roleplay to finish it. however, when i give you the message to finish your form, i expect it to be done by the next day. if you do not post/finish your form, i'm afraid i'll have to give the spot to someone else.
characters
here's the deal: you may only have one girl. i am okay with you taking two boys or one girl and one boy but two is maximum (& no two girls). also, if the male spots are not filled, so i am going to require everyone to take a guy if they already have a girl. if you can only play girls, this roleplay is not for you.
literacy
this is a big rule, so i appreciate you reading everything about this and actually doing it. okay, so this roleplay is going to only be high semi-lit (two-three paragraphs with about ten to twelve lines each--per character). i would like you to send me a writing sample automatically when you reserve a spot (please, please don't forget to do this)--unless i have roleplayed with you before. the sample should be at least two (preferably three) paragraphs so that i know you are literate. and please, please, please do not whine or be rude if i say i am not going to accept you.
posting & forms
i like pretty posts, so i appreciate making an effort in trying to make your post and form look a little nice. putting it in small text and maybe adding a little color can make the post a lot more interesting to read. unfortunately, you cannot use pictures or fontmeme, for it is considered decorative spam. only use them in forms. speaking of forms, please make small & short forms.
plagiarism
to all you roleplay stealers, please do not steal my ideas, plot, pictures, etc. it is considered plagiarism, and it will get your roleplay locked. do not think you will not get caught because i frequently browse the forums, and mods lurk around, too. if you would like to use something, just ask me, and i will be glad to allow you, depending on what your request is.

ＮＡＬＡ
aka nala from the lion king

nala is nothing less than a tomboy. she is a very
enthusiastic and athletic person. she's very friendly and
outgoing - a little talkative a times, too. because of her
cheerful attitude, nala is well liked, and when you get
to know her, she's a motherly character who smiles a
lot. she has a small crush on simba, but she still plays
hard to get.

ＮＡＴＡＨＮＩＥＬ
aka simba from the lion king

simba has always been more on the irresponsible
side and runs away from leadership roles and generally
anything that calls for responsibility. furthermore, he
lives an easygoing lifestyle. on the other hand, he is an
excellent leader and has a rather brave character. simba
can have a bad temper at times, but the fire fades with
time, and he becomes his laidback self again.

ＳＣＯＴＴ
aka scar from the lion king

scar, like many other disney villains, has an
unquenchable thirst for power. the sadist is skilled at
getting his way, for the cunning teen has gift when it
comes to persuading others to the point he's seen as
charismatic. the vain young man is also sarcastic, but
this isn't always a bad thing. he can be amusing, too,
despite his brutality and ruthless nature.

ＪＡＳＭＩＮＥ
aka jasmine from aladdin

the beautiful young lady isn't what's she appears
to be on the surface. she seems to be the type of girl
who follows all the rules, but that impression couldn't
be more off. the rebel has a free spirit which creates
an adventurous side to her. as a result, she has a
small interest in aladdin because, when around him,
she has the feeling there's so much more the world
has to offer.

ＡＬＥＸ
aka aladdin from aladdin

aladdin was a wandering vagabond without a real
home or place to stay. throughout his life, he stole to
survive, so he was more than eager to jump on the
opportunity to attend a free school. now, he still isn't
seen as the straight a's student, but he's changed.
aladdin is able to be more carfree in his new home, and
his humor and generosity is granting him friends he's
never had before.

ＪＡＬＩＬ
aka jafar from aladdin

the intriguing jafar has two sides, what he appears
like to others and what he is deep down inside. let's just
say, for this suave young man, one is nearly perfect while
the other could use a little makeup. on the outside, he's
a dramatic comedian with a charming and smooth way of
conversing with others. on the inside, he's vindictive and
selfish, but everyone is blind to see who he truly is.

ＡＩＤＥＥＮ
aka ariel from the little mermaid

the headstrong redhead has a unbreakable spirit.
ariel was born to overprotective parents, so she feels its
her duty to prove to them she can do so much more than
they think. the academy is her first step for the impulsive,
stubborn young lady. however, it's becoming more than
that for her. curiosity is taking her on new path, and this
perky girl is having the time of her life.

ＥＲＩＣ
aka eric from the little mermaid

eric is your typical prince charming. he is brave
and athletic with a sort of jock personality. in addition,
eric has a way with the ladies. he is known as a flirt, but
he honestly isn't. the young man is secretly a hopeless
romantic he can also be shy with a tangled tongue around
the ladies he's in love with, although he would never admit
these things to his friends.

ＵＲＳＵＬＡ
aka ursula from the little mermaid

ursula is one of the prettiest girls at the school,
and she knows it. from makeup to designer clothing,
she knows what's in style. with beauty enhancing objects,
the materialistic young lady gets a little carried away
sometimes, but her real goal is to be recognized as the
best, if beauty and putting down others will get her there,
that's a bonus.

ＰＥＲＤＩＴＡ
aka perdita from one hundred and one dalmations

perdita is that girl who is known for taking care
of everyone and being a wonderful friend. the mature
young lady is rather motherly and protective of those
she cares about and will do just about anything to protect
her friends. the young lady is also excellent at giving
advice. however she isn't always the motherly figure and
comes off as graceful and elegant at all times.

ＪＯＥＹ
aka pongo from one hundred and one dalmations

pongo is an interesting fellow. he has a skinny
figure and appears like a person who shies away from
danger as well as socialization, but pongo is so much
more than that. he has an admirable loving and
carefree spirit. although he is naturally laidback, pongo
is actually quite brave and protective of his friends and
loved ones.

ＣＲＵＥＬＬＡ
aka cruella de vil from one hundred and one dalmations

alike ursuala, this chic young lady has a thing
for fashion. this decadent isn't obsessed with vanity, but
she knows how to look good. as for the inside, this odd
teenager can be a bit bipolar. one moment, she'll gush
over another's outfit, and the next, she'll criticise
everything she can think of. as long as you stay on
cruella's good side, everything should be fine.

ＲＡＣＨＥＬ
aka rapunzel from tangled

rapunzel has quite the character. she's childish
and innocent, but that doesn't mean the energetic
young lady is afraid to explore the world. growing
up with an overprotective mother and going to a
private school her entire life, this defiant girl is
determined to find her place in the world. with her
creativity and curiosity, it won't be hard.

ＦＩＮＬＥＹ
aka flynn from tangled

everyone would describe flynn as the troublesome
class clown. he's humorous actions and words make
him rather popular, and his charm helps with that.
he dreams of being rich and successful, but with his
attitude toward school and hard work, it's going to
be a challenge. on the contrary, after meeting
rapunzel, he's starting to question if what's he's
planned is really meant for him.

at the age of seventeen, miss perdita anita radcliffe (who typically goes by perdy) is an unforgettable person. she is a well-mannered, polite young lady born to a wealthy, disciplined family. she gives elegance and grace a whole new meaning with her natural poise and golden locks. because of this, perdita can be fairly cold and distant when you first meet her, but it's not hard to make your way into her warm heart. what sets her apart from others is what lies inside. although she might be beautiful on the outside, she's really something on the inside. perdita is always curious and eager to learn new things. she tends to be a bookworm and, though she doesn't seem like it, is rather intelligent. once you get to know her, perdita is constantly questioning people, ideas, and everything as she finds learning about new things magical. she is also a bit of a hopeless romantic and a dreamer. furthermore, her love for others is boundless. unfortunately, this makes it easy for her trust nearly anyone, including those who might not be the best of people. when she does open up to a person, her shyness fades, and she becomes a motherly figure. noble perdita tends to be overprotective and over-annoying because of this. in addition, despite her exterior, she has a contradicting trait of being clumsy and quirky at times. besides this, perdita is a lovely character. she kind of seems like perdita from one hundred and one dalmatians, too.
