You are exactly right. It was the ugliest I have ever seen on CS. If you did not agree with the majority, you were insulted, put down, and accused of supporting stolen art regardless of your reasons. Then, when the change went through - it got even worse. The entire thread got personal and people were steady repeating themselves every other page. Some were even saying that the site was going to shut down if we did not change the art and it would be our fault. (meaning the No's on the art change.)

What hurt me the most was Tess's reasons for us voting did not match the reasons she gave for the change. According to her post - we were voting on unity and items fitting the horses... then, suddenly she changed them because of art theft - which wasn't even mentioned originally. It made the votes horribly unfair because we didn't know if we were voting on what Tess said, or what other users were saying. Honestly, it was a joke.

I don't want to get into details because it is not worth arguing over but I will say - I have lost my trust in anything Tess or any of the mods say or do. I know now to be on my toes at all times. CS is rarely fair and it is more cut-throat than people realize. Much bias exists here whether you choose to see it or not...

Anyways.... didn't mean to go on that long. My main point is that - yes, it was ugly, yes, there were plenty supporting both sides of the issue, and yes, as soupalicious said - there is no use "beating a dead horse." We have to make the best of this situation. There is no use whining about it. In all honestly.... I am just glad it was decided and we all can more forward. I was ssoooo tired of all of the fighting... I reached a point where I didn't care either way. It's over pixels - I will live.

I totally agree with you. And I wish they wouldn't have rushed into changing the old horses, and instead waited and put ALL of them on the new RBM lines. Heck, I'd have been cool with having broken images for pets for a few months if all of them would have got updated to these lines. They are amazing, and what I loved about the old horses, they have movement. Now, all the old horse are... blah... Static, no movement, boring... IMO. I don't think the designs of the old ones fit well on the new static lines. The only reason I'm keeping my old horses is because I am aiming for a full collection. Otherwise, I'd have no problem throwing them all (aside the RBM litters) in my trades. I heard people claiming this would make the old horses have more value. I practically had to GIVE away my old horses that changed to the static lines. And I think I still have some in my trades, seldom have they had a nice offer. People just offer missed outcomes and crap on them, like they did before the change. If all the horses had the RBM lines, I guarantee they'd have way more demand. The RBM lines are amazing. I think any old horses that haven't changed from this point out should be put on those lines.
Vincent Van Gogh. Everyone said to him, "You can't be a great painter, you only have one ear." And you know what he said? "I can't hear you."

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

I can't say I'm happy about the fact that
the transformation is happening/happened
it doesn't look to bad but I don't like the drafts
the tails are so short and make their rumps look
really big and for me it's just disturbing
uncanny and the old draft lines were much better
in my opinion but I see why this is what it is and
good on you for being bothered to change like a
lot of horses and ponies, I'm would be far too lazy
like I'm far too lazy to sort my groups.

I have a question, regarding the RBM Litter lines:

Will horse items be modified (in time, as I understand there is a lot of work going on as well), so that they fit the RBM now?
