I'm beyond heart broken.. I had to put Na'vi, Ariel (mouse), Skunk and now Lucky to sleep.

Na'vi had an infection that wasn't healing worth crap and she was in complete agony, Ariel had a bitten artery from another mouse (and was ancient for a mouse..), Skunk we think had a stroke but she was so far gone when I found her it was only fair (bleeding in 'that' area, paralyzed, unable to breathe properly, and she was super old, so..).. and Lucky has tumors around his neck and an abscess I drained that left a gaping hole in his neck that literally half of my pinky can fit in.. the skin/flesh is literally rotting and so on, he's in pain, old, blind..


To let everyone know, with Lucky I got him a few days ago out of a feeder bin. He's sunpet stock. My friend is the owner of the pet store, did NOT notice him and practically shoved him into my arms (with pain meds for him) to try and save him.. he's not coping well after having the abscess drained 100%.. he's not liking the medication and he's barely eating, drinking a LOT and so on.. he's so old and frail i'm still undecided on whether or not to put him down.. i'm giving him a while to see if he bounces back but so far he doesn't seem to be.. I hate these decisions.. *huff*

Quick update on Lucky-butt.

While the whole in his neck is massive, I'm being told with a lot of care it can be fixed. SO I'm going to try. I gave him mite meds, and he's already less itchy. So that's a start.

He may have a tumor on the back of his neck so I can only hope it magically disappears (as in, is just a swollen wound/lump).. he has one other abscess under his chin I'll attempt to help him with.

He screeches for the saline-flushes to his wounds, but happily licks and cuddles me afterwards as if to say "thank you".. hims so sweet. ^^

Yes, he is. That the store owner where I got him from was kind enough to actually give me a full bottle of because she herself didn't want to put up with the gross abscesses >.< he's doing REALLY well today, curled up with me boggling.

Im so exited for them all. Im expecting: several dumbos,hairless,rex, Russian Blues, dark phase Pearls, Russian Pearl, Mink, Black,Beige & Siamese (maybe a few other colors as well)

Beautiful new gal I nabbed out of a bin at the reptile show. I KNOW I shouldn't have - but as I knew the supplier and such I took her anyway. She's on QT and is being given blueberries and so on until she's officially in the clear.

I must say, I'm in love. She may not be a topear hooded like Skunk, but acts just like her. I immediately fell for her sweetness. She bruxed the entire way home. She's so petite and lovey, I fell hard for her.

I'd also like to add my two girls are definitely pregnant and I'm excited and expecting two amazing litters! The two are in the same cage, but since they were bred different days a hard eye will be kept on them. I am beyond excited for the outcomes. ^^

ALSO, Lucky the partially blind PEW boy I took on from the pet store is doing well. Hole in his neck is closing up. Two more abscesses to drain and heal, and he should be good to rehome to his forever home. If I had the extra moolah on hand I'd neuter him and put him with my girls.. but that money is going towards having another male neutered and put with 'em instead.

Anyone else find it easier to breed girls that've been with neutered males their entire life? I feel it makes them more comfortable come breeding time and stresses them out a LOT less. maybe it's just me.

Took Baze to the Petco (20 minute drive) today to buy him a harness and a suit. His neck was too small for any of the rodent/kitten/dog harnesses but as I was buying the suit the guy suggested a reptile harness and it was completely adjustable. So we bought that as well as his suit. I haven't really used the harness yet, so I'll have to tell you more about that later. Now.... Baze in suit pictures!





Hopefully he will start getting use to it and stop putting his front paws through the neck hole soon lol.
