"Three days isn't that long." Lexi said slowly. "I only need a diminutive amount of sleep to get through the day..." she said, though she wasn't so sure. "My record is...five days?" she blinked, trying to keep the dull look out of her eyes. She rubbed her eyes as they became unfocused, and tried to concentrate on Zark's face.

Chase nodded. It was weird, definitely. His image of the stereo typical American was a tanned, blonde Californian girl chatting on her cell phone with six teacup poodles on bright pink leases. And for some reason, she was holding a hamburger in one hand. He always wondered how those girls stayed so thin after eating so much meat, like she said. His image of a boy was either an incredibly fat and greasy, bearded man, or a man with movie-star good looks and a dazzling smile. Obviously his view of Americans was way off center.

Zark shook his head. "No, you need to sleep. Go, I'll cover for you if Professor Snape asks."

Adrina kept going, describing her experiences back home.

"How do you guys stay so skinny? Most of the time..." Chase added. He realized he hadn't said anything in a bit and cleared his throat.


She nodded, swaying a bit on her feet but righting herself. She knew she wouldn't be able to sleep, even if she did manage to get the day off.

Adrina laughed again. "Some people, myself included in this select group, have a very high metabolism. We can burn through calories. Others...can't." she said, grinning sheepishly.

"Oh." Chase said after a moment. "I guess it's pretty different here, huh?" he said with a grin.

"Yep...when I moved here and went to a Muggle movie, do you know what the first thing I noticed was?" she asked.
