"Everyhorse has the ability to lie to you."Judge took a thoughtful mouthful of slightly dry grass,chewing it slowly as he thought of what to say next."It's what they do with that power that determines character."Now he lifted his broad head slightly and moved closer to Blanche.He knew all too well that some horses would lie.A few outright and obviously,some more secretly.Those were the ones that would hurt the most when things blew up,and those horses were the ones that could be the closest to you.

ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴅ ᴘʀᴇᴍᴏɴɪᴛɪᴏɴ

"Beauty is a matter of opinion," she countered, now feeling relaxed in the company of Judge. It had been a long time since she had felt that, and it was nice to stand beside him now. She took a step closer to him as he did to her, offering him another warm smile while she gathered another mouthful of grass, which left her in silence for a few long moments. "You can't tell if someone is lying, though," she mumbled. "Well, most of the time..." She had believed her mother, as that's who had brought her up, and that's who was supposed to teach her life's lessons. One stallion was not going to change that opinion.

Ace of Spades

Spade watched quietly, looking at her make it to the cave. As her words reached his ears, he relaxed, letting out a breath he didn't know he had been holding. With the confirmation, he quickly started after the mare, his hooves placing themselves suredly upon the ground.

Coming up next to the palomino, the dapple looked at the cave, letting out a soft grunt of approval. He nuzzled Hicktown gently, before stepping out, his ears catching a gentle trickle. His hazel eyes narrowed, adjusting to see through the gloom. "There's water here." He announced quietly as he came face to face with an underground pond deeper in. Ears flicked back to hear the mare's response, he took a drink of the spring water.

Hawkeye

Hawkeye lifted his majestic head and tossed his dark mane. He took slow steps through the forest, an occasional leaf breaking under his hooves. He noticed the mare from before was close, but he couldn't see her. He decided not to pester the mare, and minded his own business. Hawkeye flicked his ears and lifted his head, letting out a neigh that was cut short, but only because a pinecone had fallen off of a tree and hit him on the back. He flattened his ears and nipped at the spot where the pinecone hit. The brindled stallion then looked forward, and had a distant look in his eyes. He knew mares didn't usually trust stallions, and he couldn't blame them. Some would force them to join, or snake them, taking them from everyone they loved.

Hawkeye let out a silent sigh, his ears flickering. He turned and began walking again, only this time, towards the black mare. When he finally saw her, she was surprisingly close. He put his ears back, fearing he might scare her. But, he advanced forward, and stopped at the stream, but he kept himself a few feet from her. The stallion lowered his head and took a sip, then lifted I once again and looked forward, across the stream. He the casted a glance towards the mare, hoping she wouldn't run.

Archer stopped on the outskirts of the trees. It was lightly shaded, covered by the thin branches of growing trees, but it would do."Here." He said shortly, turning back to the mare, "This okay?" He wasn't too concerned with what she though of the place he chose, but he figured the happier she was, the better.

Boredboredbored she thought, watching the stallion. He hadn't noticed her, and she didn't mind to much, in fact, she enjoyed it, but she also didn't want to just stand and watch. Her eyes sparked with slight amusement as he rolled in the dirt, dust forming clouds around him. She moved down the hill, a bit closer, curious, but still refused to speak first.

Slews Verdict

His expectations had now seemed like he was asking for a miraculous change of opinion,and the dun stallion silently chided himself in believing that his words would somehow make her happier for longer than a few moments."What matters is what you think of yourself.Anything else could be a lie.Sometimes you just have to put enough trust in another to believe their words."Judge lifted his head and gazed into the nothingness of night."What do you think of yourself?"His words were surprising,and intended to remain thoughts.Now he had spoken once more his thoughts,and was instantaneously worried that the question would make Blanche uncomfortable.


Hollywood Hicktown

"You made a good choice." Holly softly praised the stallion,her hooves softly scraping the ground as she absently dug in the dirt.Had she been expecting more praise for what seemed like such a large achievement to her?Of course.Although,it may have seemed less monumental to spectators.Putting on a Poker face Holly hid the slight disappointment that may have flooded over into her facial expressions.

Spade turned as he heard the mare, a little surprised that she didn't come to take a drink. Hearing her praise, he kept quiet, before neighing softly. "Thanks. You were brave, climbing up to the cave like that." He said a little awkwardly. Words always were a hard thing for Spade to grasp, and he gave a soft sigh.

ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴅ ᴘʀᴇᴍᴏɴɪᴛɪᴏɴ

What did it matter what she thought of herself? That would get her nowhere. If she thought herself beautiful, but no one else did, then a stallion was no more likely to take her than if she knew how ugly she really was. "How do you know who to trust and who not to?" she questioned him, lowering her head. He was implying that her mother had been wrong, and that was a horse she had grown up with and whom she was supposed to put her full trust into. If she couldn't trust her own parents, then who out there could gain trust and keep it? Was there a good enough horse to do that? Blanche's parents could not have been the worst pair of horses out there, and while she knew they weren't the best, that meant they fell somewhere in between. To Blanche, it was impossible to separate the good from the bad. All she had to rely on were her own instincts, which had failed her many times before. She had been alone too long and didn't know the true meaning behind another horse's words. It was hard, and she had become bad at it. "I try not to think of myself," she mumbled, picturing the too white of coat in her mind. To her, she was a sick-looking filly with too long and thin of legs and too big of a head with eyes that were as abnormal as the cremello coat.

I had only rested and grazed for a few moments when i heard some crunching of some leaves in the forest just across the stream. My head rose up, my ears just slightly pined back as the stallion from before breaches the forests edge. He came towards me though stopped at the edge of the stream for a sip of his own. For a few moments I thought he would stay on his side and leave me alone and my ears come forward as he didn't seem like to much of a threat. I did however take a few steps back now standing in full shade of a large oak tree. Though I should have known that he would come, I am after all a mare now in heavy heat. Standing quite still as he approached me and simply just stood there, no charms or trys of seduction which already got on my good side. I didn't take kindly to stallions who tried to charm mares, it was a load a bull.

Mystery snaps back into reality as Archer speaks. "It's fine." she uttered. The mare nuzzled him with her nose to show that she wasn't a cold horse. "Why me?" she began. "Out of all the mares you decided to let me join your herd." The grey-speckled mare did not know what to think about joining a herd. Even though she was in one once she was born into it, not asked.
