→ Harley's pink lips fell into a light frown at Memory's response. "All to true my friend. All to true." She agreed. Memory and Harley were endlessly teased. Despite Nico's best efforts to protect the two, the words people said always got back to them. Maybe that was why Harley always acted out. She acted as if she honestly couldn't care less, but like everyone, she was hurt by the words people threw at her and Memory. But she acted as if they didn't bother her, and for the most part, it worked. Plus, her music. It helped like no body's business. Which was part of the reason she wanted to become a singer. So she could help kids like her one day. Giving her head a light shake, she pushed the sad thoughts away and listened to the chatter in the lunch-room, her eyes following the sound of a fight, where a boy, what was his name....Shaun? Beating the snot out of a jock who was well over his height. She'd heard about him. He was a fighter. Born in a gang, and always getting in trouble. She'd never really spoken to him, he seemed to keep to himself when he wasn't getting in fights, but she constantly saw him in detention with her. That is, when he didn't skip. Turning her attention back to Memory she offered her a crooked half-grin. "Hey, at least we'll be out of here forever after today. All we have left is graduation. Yay." She said, sarcastically. She was not looking forward to the judgemental stares that followed her constantly, especially when she walked across the stage to get her diploma. Oh well. Despite all the detentions she'd received, Harley had extremely high grades. When she felt like it. She'd applied for the Arizona Art Institute, and been accepted almost immediately, which had made her so happy. But she hadn't told anyone yet, not even Memory.

She would eventually, but now was not the time. Instead, she focused on her friend, who was watching Nico, none-to-subtly. Harley huffed lightly. Whenever Memory was around Nico, Harley couldn't ever really tell what she was thinking. Which was weird, because normally, she could read Memory like a book. Sighing, she shook her head. "I'm pretty sure he and queen bee are dating again. Though I have no idea what he sees in her. She's is quite literally a pile of plastic. Like a Barbie doll!" Harley stated, laughing lightly, and hoping to cheer up her best friend. She didn't know why she was particularly down today, must be because of Regina or something else. Maybe something at home? Oh well, Harley was sure she'd tell her eventually. "Oh, and how do you feel about crashing a party at Regina's tonight?" She ask, plopping down on top of a cafeteria table and eyeing her friend.

→ As Nico walked away from Tucker, a slender arm suddenly wrapped around his waist and turned him towards the person. He turned, and suddenly a pair of lips where placed on his. He pulled back in surprise, not expecting to be kissed, and met Regina's to blue of eyes (obviously having colored contacts in them) with his own grey ones. "I take it we're back together then?" He said, lifting a dark eyebrow. Regina chuckled nervously, as her friends around them began to chatter in suspicion. "I don't know what you're talking about, honey." She said giving him a look. Nico rolled his eyes mentally and sighed. "Mh, right." Regina smiled at him, fakely and Nico let out a light breath, but it couldn't be heard over the sound of all of Regina's friends giggling and chattering all at once. Regina pulled him over to a table, filled the brim with 'the kings, queens, suck-ups, and peasants' as Memory and Harley referred to them. Regina made him sit and Nico listened to the pointless chatter, his gaze flitting back and forth from the table to his twin and best friend. His little routine was suddenly interrupted when Regina suddenly pinched him to get him to focus. "Hmm?" He said, suddenly joining in. "I was asking, are you coming tonight? To the party? Everyone's invited, except, you know. The losers." Regina said, laughing and everyone else laughed at her cue, except Nico.

Biting his bottom lip, Nico sighed and decided to give in. "Yeah, I guess I am." He stated, not really wanting to go if Harls and Mems couldn't come. But then again, knowing his sister, she was likely to come party crashing anyways, and that was always fun to witness. In one swift movement, he slid out of the plastic cafeteria bench, and stood, giving a little stretch. When he was done, he was pulled back down by Regina for a light kiss before he waved to everyone else and finally managed to escape the crowd and head over to his twin and his best friend. Upon arrival, he pushed Harley sideways a bit, forcing her to share her perch before taking a seat. He smiled at the two. "Hello lovely ladies. How are you?" He ask, earning him a punch from Harley. "Just fine, Mr.-I'll-Have-Your-Back,-Oh-Wait-I-Can't-I'm-Dating-The-Girl-You're-Going-To Kill-Again-Despite-The-Fact-That-My-Best-Friend-And-Twin-Sister-Hate-Her." Harley stated, turning away from him to show her rejection towards him. "Oh come on Harls. That can't be my nickname. For one, it's to long, and for another you call me Four for some reason." Harley huffed at this. "I don't think he deserves to be called Four anymore. What do you think, Memory? Shall we revoke his honorable nickname?" Harley asked, as she and Nico turned their attention to their best friend.

    MEMORY ADELE BLACK
    ➳ eighteen ;; mems ;; darkness ;; she's in love, but he doesn't know
Memory shrugged at Harley's response, trying to say it didn't matter. After all, once today was done, they would be free of school and the drama. The jokes would be gone forever, at least until after graduation. Memory wasn't quite looking forward to that one either, but neither was Harley. The only good thing about it would be that after it, neither of them would ever see Regina and her squad of barbie dolls again. Although, Memory could guarantee they would find something to say about her and Harley during the graduation. They always had, for anything the two best friends did.

Turning around to face Harley again, Memory nodded in response to her statement. "Yeah, I know. I can't wait to be done with all this crap." She said, sighing. Memory heard a fight going on behind Harley, and turned her attention to it for a second. Shaun, some kid she'd seen in the hallways and sometimes in detention, when she was there. He and the jock he was fighting were each throwing some punches, trying to get a move on one another. Memory rolled her eyes at them. Apparently, one fight wasn't enough, although, what had happened between her and Regina hadn't really been something you could consider a fight. Nico was still behind Harley and her, talking to the same person. She only caught words at a time, but from what she could tell, a party was gonna be going on tonight. Memory tuned it out after that, not wanting to hear anymore. Parties meant one thing around her. Harley and Memory were not to be invited. It happened every time, and they didn't really mind.

Regina appeared out of the corner of her eye then, walking over to where Nico was. Turning to see what was going to happen, Harley and Memory watched as Regina wrapped her arm around Nico's waist and planted a kiss on his lips. Memory's whole body stiffened, but she tried hard not to let it show. It bothered her more then anything when Nico and Regina dated. He was her best friend, next to Harley, and he was dating the girl who always picked on Memory and his twin. Shaking her head in annoyance, Harley scoffed next to her. "I guess." She replied, trying to to show the tension in her voice. "There's nothing to see Harls. She's fake. Every part of her is fake." Memory couldn't help it, but it came out angry, like she was about to murder someone, which she was pretty sure she was about to. Just when she was about to tell Harley about the party she heard about, Harley asked her about crashing Regina's party. "Of course, Harls! I wouldn't miss it for the world!"

Crossing her arms, Memory turned around and sat down on the bench on the lunch table. She wasn't quite sure it she was angry or sad, but rather a mix of both. Nico had walked off to Regina's table, and her and Harley were left sitting there. Memory was quiet for the most part, waiting for Harley to spark up a conversation. After a while, Nico came over, sliding into the seat next to Harley. Memory smiled lightly, happy he wasn't with the barbie doll he called his girlfriend. She laughed when Harley started to mess with him, showing him how pissed she was. Nico started to complain how that shouldn't be his nickname and why they called him Four. "Harls, I'm not so sure. Four didn't date the queen bee, and he didn't let anyone mess him." She winked at him, trying not to show her anger/sadness/all the other things she was feeling. Memory turned back to look at the floor, biting her lip.
    >> my, that's a huge post. terribly sorry, four! i got a bit carried away. xD anyways, tomorrow afternoon, if everyone has posted by then, we will time skip to the party. (:

WThe fight was done, my jaw hurt and the preps had relocated to a different table, Jared’s nose still gushing blood. As they stalked away he gave me a meaningful glare, along with a few of his buddies. They were in for a fight if they tried to get me in a fight, I could handle three of them, more I wasn’t so sure. They’d be in for it though if they pulled something. A boy walked past me, Nico I believed his name was, with the girl Regina practically hanging off of him and as they walked by I could hear some muttering about a party at Regina’s and well, everyone knew where she lived. “Oh boy,” I muttered under my breath coldly, “I bet she has some pretty things I could take.”
They was a tingling sensation at the base of my neck, that feeling of being watched. When I turned to look I could see Memory and Harley both glancing at me. I knew them from detention, I knew anyone who came to detention. Why? Because I was the detention king. I was always in there for something. Skipping class, starting fights, swearing at teachers, smoking on school property, stealing, you name it I was likely there for it. I was wondering why they were looking at me but it was didn’t because I’d already caught site of probably the only person on this planet I was ever happy to see, Six. My adopted brother and the type of person who could brighten a whole damn room.
“Wassup hommie!?” I grinned giving the brown-haired boy a high-five as he plunked down beside me. The gesture, no matter how quick still sent a little jolt through my body and my fingers curled quickly back into a fist as they went into my pocket.
“Not much man, you been in another fight though I see,” he laughed. “Who’d you beat up this time?”
“Jared, you know, big jock, thinks he knows how to fight but doesn’t.”
“Crazy,” he chuckled shaking his head, “hey, you have fans.” He pointed towards Memory and Harley.
“Me? Fans, no way. I just know them from detention.”
    “Let’s go say hi!”
“Six, no!” I protested as he grabbed my hood and started to drag me towards the girls who had been joined by Nico. Six was about the only person I let drag me around without a fight. I was brought up abruptly after Six practically throwing me forwards. “Er, hi?” I shot Six a glare. He was so, very, very dead when we got home.
“I’m Six!” He exclaimed brightly, sticking his hand towards the girls. “This is my brother, Shaun.”
“Uh,” I grunted angrily and hunkered back down into my hoodie. I was not social and I wasn’t about to play nice with people I only knew from detention. I kept my eyes on the ground, my teeth ground together and a napkin swept past my feet and a slightly breeze. I was losing control, no I wasn’t. I was just starting to get agitated. I didn’t like people.

❛❛ life is too short to wait ... [adrian && roni]

-----Adrian saw shadows dancing. They always did this; the taunting jabs and soundless words that pulled at his mind made him feel like he was being pulled apart at the seams. He knew of many people who controlled something [Roni and Nico with their metal, Harley’s energy, Memory and her darkness to name a few] but really only Memory knew exactly how he felt. He was stuck on the edge of everything exploding, everything taking over. Darkness was a hard thing to control, because despite Light’s never ceasing battle against him, he always managed to find a gap. A gap that meant he was going to have a harder time controlling the curse.
-----It was what got him kicked out of his own home, after all.
-----Adrian pushed the shadows away the second he walked into the school building, bustling with children who didn’t seem to understand the concept of “quiet”. They shouted and squealed and hugged their million friends, and occasionally turned around and let them scrawl their messy signatures across their backs. Photos were taken with disgusting duck faces and kisses and gang signs and every little thing in between. Girls squealed when a popular boy gave them their phone number, and guys high fived when the hot chicks pressed a little slip of paper with theirs into their hands. Adrian decided that -- after he was shoved into walls with taunts worse than what his shadows gave out -- he didn’t mind the darkness, and melted into the shadows like an old friend’s embrace.
-----He slipped into the brightly lit cafeteria, and let the darkness fall away from him; if he hadn’t, he would have looked like a walking wall of black. He hadn’t arrived in time to see the mysterious fight between Memory and Harley and Regina -- the girl he thought looked like a carved statue, and thought like one -- but he did arrive in time to see the statue stuck to poor Nico like glue. Adrian made his way through the crowd [the one that seemed to part like the red sea] to their table in the back of the cafeteria the second Shaun and Six popped over to the four. He slipped between tables to sit a few feet away from Harley, watching Shaun and Six introduce themselves. He didn’t feel like talking, but felt obliged to at least give a small wave in the two boys' general directions. With that, he pulled the jacket on his shoulders a little tighter around himself, and lowered his hat on his head.

-----Roni pulled the silver cuff from her wrist, and shaped it with her fingers into a little man with a cane. In the corner of the cafeteria on the floor where she sat [as usual, by herself] with her knees drawn up to her chest, she felt sheltered from the cruel words of people who made fun of her. Sometimes, she found it extremely hard not to attack or hurt them: her temper may have empty words, but one slip-up, and somebody could be impaled by the drinking fountain. That's the reason she kept a bit of metal with her at all times: usually a bracelet or ring that she could shape into various forms, and poke it in shapes she enjoyed. Only a few times had she shaped it into a weapon out of anger, only to be horrified moments later at what she had done. Roni Ross didn't like violence, but knew it's a necessary evil if she wanted to defend herself.
----- Roni squished the cool metal between her fingers, finally settling on a cuff that looked very stylish in her opinion. When she looked to her left, she saw a group of familiar and fairly friendly faces -- if you took away Memory's agitated look that Roni could read in the blink of an eye [sometimes, she wondered if she should've taken psychology/body language classes]. She saw Adrian slide into a seat a few feet away from Harley, looking detatched, but thankful he was with somebody who was somewhat like him. She knew the feeling: none of them liked to hang out with normal people, because they tended to bully the benders. Well, except Nico, but he had his element under control. Roni definitely envied that. She still struggled with simple shapes, and not attracting fences when she walked by.
----- Roni slid the cuff back onto her wrist, pulled her sunglasses down over her eyes again, scooped up the bag, slung that over her shoulder, and walked over to their table. Just in time to see Regina stalk away and wrap herself up with her boyfriend, who Roni pitied. What on earth did he see in that total word-she-shouldn't-think? She shook her head, and sat down next to Memory. "What's this I hear about crashing a party?" She grinned, until she caught the look on Memory's face. She was hiding something; something that she didn't want to talk about.
----- But Roni was good at keeping secrets.
----- She pulled her sunglasses off, folded them up neatly, and tucked them in her bag, which she had already detangled from herself. The blond rubbed the metal of her bracelet, unintentionally moving it around until it looked like a loose braid. "Huh. I think I like this design," she muttered under her breath. Her other one -- made simply out of leather -- wasn't much to look at, and she sighed. I'll fix you later. She'd probably regreat doing anything with it in public, because it always drew attention to herself but honestly, that day, she didn't think she could care less.
----- two voices caught her attention. Roni raised an eyebrow at them, and didn't move another inch. "Roni," she said simply -- if they couldn't figure out that Roni was her name, then she would believe them to be stupid.

→ Harley's icy blue and golden gaze didn't miss the exchange from Memory's eyes directed towards Nico. If something was going on with them....Harley shook her head lightly to hersef. No. Mems would have told me by now if she liked him...wouldn't she?" Harley forced herself to ignore the thoughts. If her best friend had something for her twin, so what? It wasn't like she particularly cared. Sure, it'd be a bit strange if they dated, but there was no way them dating could come between them. Their friendship was just too deep for that. Their mother's had been friends when they were in college, and all throughout that, and while they were pregnant, but then Nico and Harley's mother had disappeared after their birth. To make it worse though, Memory's mother had died during her birth, for some unknown reason, yet Memory's father blamed it on her, which explained the bruises that were constantly dotting her arms and shoulders. Which was the main reason Mems always wore her jacket, or long-sleeves, no matter the weather or temperature. But Nico didn't know any of that, and Harley wasn't about to tell him without Memory's express permission. Blinking lightly, Harley focused back in on the conversation.

She was glad Memory had agreed to come along to party-crash, because it just wasn't fun without her best friend. Nico was never helpful with party-crashing, evidently he had too much of a life to participate in the fun. Hopefully Memory would be able to sneak out tonight, if not Harley could always distract her dad so the girl could slip out and then they could go to the party and annoy Regina and all the popular kids. Harley was once more jerked out of her plans for party crashing when Memory spoke. She nodded in agreement. "Mhm. As I distinctly recall, Four went for the girl no one believed in. Yet, our Four here seems to be dating the most annoying girl in the world, who is not, as I recall, approved of." Harley chuckled at Nico's eye rolling and sighed. "Fine, fine, I suppose you can still be called Four. Just remember dear brother, your nickname is on probation. If you screw up, your name will be fully and forever revoked." She stated with a finality.

At the sound of two sets of feet approaching them, Harley turned her attention away from her brother, coming face to face with a boy she didn't recognize who had two striking different coloured eyes, and the boy she'd seen fighting earlier. Tilting her head lightly, she smiled at the boy, Six's, exuberance. Harley took his hand and shook it, grinning brightly. "I know Shaun, he tends to join me in detention quite a bit." She said flashing a bright grin. Normally, Harley wasn't one to talk to people, but she liked these two. Well, for the most part. They weren't super popular, and they seemed nice enough. "I'm Harley, this is my brother Nico, and our best friend, Memory." She said gesturing to everyone as she spoke, her blue eyes bright with amusement, and she knew they were turning grey, like they did when her energy was picking up in her. It tended to get excited when she did, which was problematic, considering the fact that it was a harder element to control. She forced herself to calm down a bit, and pushed the tide of energy away, not wanting to lose control. She hoped her eyes were turning back to their normal blue and she offered a crooked smile at the two guys, pushing some of her blonde hair away from her face.

Her attention was once more drawn as two people approached the table and slid in. She knew them to be elementals, and they were alright friends. Nothing to close of friends, but they all knew what it was like to be an elemental. All the rude jabs, the harsh words, the pushes into walls, everything. So, they tended to group together. She turned her attention away from Six and Shaun, offering a light smile Adrian. "Hi, Adrian." She said kindly. She and Adrian knew each others names, but not much else. They'd only chatted once before, and she could see that he was a darkness elemental. If you could focus enough, you could see the shadows that followed him, just like she saw them follow Memory.

→ Nico rubbed his arm where Harley had punched him. For someone so tiny, she certainly packed a punch. He shot her a glare as she spoke, his grey eyes narrowed in light annoyance. He was going to say something, but was interrupted by Memory. Turning his head towards the other girl, he met her midnight blue eyes with his own, catching a few emotions that flickered across before she dropped her gaze. Nico was curious as to what she had wanted to say, and he was about to, but he was suddenly interrupted by the arrival of four new people. Two of which he had met both he knew to be elementals, and quite unnaturally, Harley began to talk with them. It was unusual of his twin to talk to people, so he tilted his head and watched her converse. She seemed friendly around these people; happy. With most people, Harley wasn't friendly at all. Rather, she was closed off, and shut up everytime Nico's popular friends were around. Maybe that was why. She never liked his other friends, she preferred to hang out with everyone else. The people that surrounded them now, well, Harley looked at home; comfortable.

He watched the whole situation, nodding at the two males who entered the conversation, a light grin crossing his lips at Six's name. Ironic that his nickname was Four. Running a hand through his thick black hair, Nico leaned against the table, crossing his arms across his stomach, the male nodded at everyone, slowly zoning out as they all began to chatter quietly around him. He thought about the party later that night, wondering what he was going to do about the whole Regina thing. For the most part, she could be okay, except for when she was around his sister. The two just clashed. They didn't get along at all. Regina was absolutely horrid to his twin, and he usually had to put a stop to it. Harley wasn't afraid to fight, and Regina wasn't either. The two would always get into fights, and Harley fought dirty, pulling punches and refusing to give up. Which usually resulted in Nico or Memory pulling her off of the person who was part of the reason why they were in a fight.

Of course, Harley wasn't always like that. She was usually the calm one of the situation, despite the fact that she was the one with energy as her element. As Nico thought, he felt his element bubbling up. Snapping out of his thoughts, he forced himself to calm down. He was in complete control of his element, for the most part. But occasionally he would slip up. He felt the dog-tag necklace he was wearing pulling towards his hands, and he forced himself to calm down. He wasn't even sure why he was having such a freak out, but he needed to be calm. He took a deep breath and forced himself to push his element away, and his necklace relaxed against him. Opening his grey eyes, he turned his attention to a girl, he knew was a metal elemental like himself, Roni. "Um, hi." He said grinning. His eyes slid over to Memory, and he considered going over to her and asking what she had been thinking, but it'd probably sound stupid. He returned his gaze back to Roni and offered her a disarming smile, his grey eyes bright.

As Jessica walked to school early in the morning with her head looking high into the sky. It's exciting that today is the last day of school and she'll be able to relax, especially after all the drama that's been going on through the school year. Entering the hallways after a mile walk to get here, Jessica just listened to the conversations of strange topics. Jessica wasn't interested in being in a group, or in a club, but in her opinion, it was fascinating to see people react to the news that always spread dramatically like light. The day was loud and the school was pumped because it was the end of the school year. Nothing is ever normal in Kingsbrooke and everything seems to be going faster than it appears.

Fetching her book from her bag, Jessica just opened it and started reading as she walked cautiously through the hallway. Turning the pages rapidly to find a certain section, Jessica just stopped and looked towards wall filled with papers. Reading through the wall that is crowded with news and end of school year posters, she for once was interested in what was going on in the world. Sighing deeply with boredom, yet with calm nerves, she just closed the book and sets it back into her dark, green book bag. The arts on the posters were quite fascinating and Jessica was interested in art, but she wasn't the best at is as others.

Heading towards the upper areas of the school, she stopped by the school's library and dropped off a few books. Seems everyone was happy today since it was the last day, but Jessica wasn't excited about it as others. Most people call her strange since she loved school, even though she has been to multiple of different schools. After dropping off the books about nature and science, Jessica walked out towards the window. Letting the brilliant sunlight shine onto her skin and into her eyes, she felt warm and relaxed. It's like a plant in the sunlight when they can't survive without the warm rays of the sun and she feels the same as well. The sun was a life source to her, but of course everyone needs the sun to brighten up their days. Yet again, it was nice to feel the chilling wind when it gets humid, or hot outside. Her book bag was much lighter than usual and it brought relief to her soar shoulders.

Knowing the teachers wouldn't be giving homework out since it was the last day, but doing something seemed much better than doing nothing. Today was going dully and slow, yet sometimes it went fast. Jessica wasn't feel stressed, uncomfortable, or even scared, but whatever she was feeling hardly occurs. Humming a soft tune while she stood by the windows and tapping her foot to the soft beat, she just smiled as she watched the large clouds pass along the sky. Though while doing that, she could hear strange and interesting conversations come into her ears. Even though it was none of her business, it was quite funny to listen to.
