*crawls back into thread on stomach* Aaaugh, I'm so, so, so, so infinitely sorry, guys! My muse had just deserted me entirely -I honestly attempted to begin a reply, but after 5 minutes of staring blankly into space, I gave up.
BUT I SHALL PREVAIL THIS TIME.
(Also, I'm beginning to think we need to re-open this roleplay for sign-ups, as quite a few people have disappeared.)
But, no, I offer my infinite apologies. My disappearance was completely unjustified.

Ari felt Eloise's grip on his arm loosen as they neared the herd of elk. She pushed him down into the snow, and he complied, trying to get as little of the freezing powder in his hood as possible. Snow was always a nuisance back there; it melted and trickled its way down into your clothes, soaking through to the skin. He turned his head as Eloise spoke in a low whisper, hissing instructions to the three less-experienced hunters. (Well, two with less experience and one with nigh on none at all.) Reaching out, Ari began to scoop up snow with his mittens, reaching back and patting it onto the fur of his coat, trying to obscure the all-too visible brown.
He watched attentively as the Ice Girl crept slowly forward, cresting and then disappearing over the hill. Momentarily, he marvelled at the skill with which she moved; an animalistic grace was clear in the fluidity of her motion, a slow creep forward like that of a large cat stalking closer to its prey.
Krystal began to follow suit, glancing back and murmuring for he and Serenity to do so as well, a small smile twisting up the corners of her lips. Oh. Yes, that would probably a good idea... The crunch of snow beside him signalled Serenity's forward movement, followed by an even smaller smile and a whispered reassurance. Ari watched her go for a beat, taking a deep breath and steeling himself for what was to come. Then he took a step forward, hands and feet to the ground, trying vainly to imitate Eloise's graceful crouch. He was certainly the most ungainly of the three, but he managed to arrive at the base of the snowdrift without sliding too much down the hill, or (he hoped) alerting the herd of elk to their presence.
(Ugh, sorry for the lack of quality; writing with writer's block is an absolutely excruciating practice. D: )
on semi-permanent hiatus(unable to fill any art requests as my tablet is very broken, apologies!)
