"I'm sorry..." Joanie whispered. "...I wish I could have been a better mate for you..."

storm nuzzled her "you where the perfect mate,and im so lucky to have you."he barked,lickingher cheek softly

"I think another pup is coming..." Joanie sighed. Another pup was born, slightly bigger than the other, but much quieter. That only made Joanie worse. "Goodbye, Storm...I love you..." She licked Storm's cheek and nuzzled him.

"Joanie,please try to stay."he wispered softly

Lighning stiffened,and fell in a heap,her pups coming via stress "OWWWW!"she howlled

Scarlet whirled,and queited her neice "Shhhhhh listen,just do what i ask."she barked.

"Wait for your grandbabys joan."storm barked "hold on till you meat them."he barked

"But it hurts so much..." Joanie whined, trying to keep her eyes open as best as she could...

"I know,but it will only be a little while now."he barked "Just try,for lightning."he barked

soon three small pups lay curled to lightning,a 4th being licked off.

"Big litter,there are 4 "Storm barked softly

Joanie smiled weakly at her daughter and looked at the four newborns, then at her two. They were struggling to get anything to drink off of her because she wasn't producing enough milk for the both of them. She licked them gently and they started to cry loudly, both out of frustration and confusion. Joanie hugged Storm tightly and tears started to roll down her cheeks. "Storm..." She sobbed quietly...She suddenly let go of Storm and lay motionless on the ground with the two puppies pawing at her in confusion...

storm knew he had a job "Song,get milk herbs,NOW."he snarled,and she rased off"Light,please?"he begged,his eyes dulled as he carryed the two pups over to her belly.he turned and watched as a mist rose from his mate,he streached for it "Name them!."he wispeered to the fleeing spirt "Please."

The two newborns started to suckle hungrily from Lightning, not knowing that she wasn't their mother.
