He offered out a smug smirk; now that was a good comeback, even for Sam. "Why not? Oh well, there's a whole slew of things I could call you; most of those are probably on your 'don't call me that' list though." He snickered, glancing over at her. "Good, because if you said it wasn't, I was going to make you sit here anyways." Sam laughed quietly, looking back toward the front of the room; it smelled like chalk and paint in here, he'd become quiet used to that, since this was one of the only classes he could sit in on and not be 'noticed.'
Her next question confused him for a moment, he'd almost forgotten that he was a ghost. "To be honest, it's just a free class; the music program here wouldn't let me in, considering i've had no formal training." Sam sighed lightly, that's one of the things he had taught himself after being stuck here over the summer, how to play instruments, most notably the piano. "Plus, the band usually doesn't allow pianists unless you're Mozart."

She scowled at his smirk. Then turned away from him. Though it peaked her interest,and curiosity when he talked about the ideas for his nicknames. "Like what? I am pretty tolerant,as long as you don't call me love."She mused as she looked curiously at him. She didn't mind nicknames as long as they weren't mean or of course love. She had a bad run in with an ex who called her love. She refused to go by it now. She was amused by his response,and she giggled. "And of course I would've sat."She joked quietly and laughed. She loved the smell of an art classroom. It made her feel at home. Which was very vague since her lack of home material. Though she now had a home that wasn't a motel,and she also had her horse,snake,and cat. Her loving family. Her grandparents had been taking care of them for her as she didn't have a stable home.As he answered her question,she chuckled."I thought so,but it's understandable."She stated with a small nod till she heard the other statement and she looked surprised. "You play Piano? I love piano music."She said with a enthusiastic look to her. Her smile bright,and childish. "I play,but not that good grant it.."She trailed off with a shrug,but then looked at him."So you are a musician?"She asked with a curiosity.

"Trust me, I know you'd kill me if you ever heard me refer to you as some of them." He grinned at her, shrugging slightly; Sam rested a elbow on the table and watched her, he tapped along to unheard music with his fingers. Softly he sighed, his shoulders falling as people began to file into the room, as well as the teacher, who looked nice enough.
Silently, he thought about his home, his parents had probably had another child, or adopted one, by now and had changed his room to fit their needs. Sam had loved his room, footballs, and a messy bed, messy room really; but he never could get the image out of his head of lying there on his back across the dark green sheets, tossing a football toward the ceiling over and over again. He sighed once more and kept his gaze locked on to Ali.
A small, almost sad, grin appeared on his lips and he gave her a small nod, letting her keep talking, hoping no one heard her. 'That makes 10; she likes piano men.' When Sam spoke next, his voice was softer and more anxious. "Usually, when someone plays an instrument they are called a musician, duck." He still wasn't quite sure if it would fit, but for the moment he enjoyed it.

She raised an eyebrow,and decided to joke a bit."Well if I would kill you if I knew..Then by termanology I should kill you just for thinking them."She mused with a small raised eyebrow. A smug smirk showing on her face. She noticed as well though as she went silent and kind of shy looking. She didn't like large crowds even crowds that weren't that large like this one. Nobody heard her,and since she was doodling on paper and listening to him they suspected she was just talking to herself. Which wouldn't surprise anybody since she was kind of off like that. When in real life she talked to ghosts quite often. Though she brushes it off as Imaginary Friends,or her imagination playing tricks on her. She looked at him weird though and stuck his tongue out at him slightly with a grin. "I know that,but I thought we agreed on Duckling,Mama Duck."She whispered softly at him. Which wasn't weird because he started whispering.

"Have at it." He laughed, knowing full well she'd get no where in killing him, considering that he was already dead. Sam grinned at her, shaking his head lightly. He was so glad that she wasn't worried about him becoming quiet, or even stopped talking to him. This girl, he was beginning to find out though, was strange; she wasn't like the others, no, she was much, much different. It wasn't a bad weird though, no, it was actually quite nice. If she didn't find him too weird when she found out, he'd definitely have to tease her about her obsession.
Sam copied her, sticking his tongue out playfully as she did. "Sorry, duckling; next time i'll make sure I add ling to the end." Quietly, he laughed, shaking his head; however, he let out a groan as the teacher entered and snapped for everyone to pay attention to her. "She's going to make you introduce yourself."

She decided to cast him a slight glare towards him,and stood up. She didn't like all the attention,but she had to talk to the entire class each class period. She has had to do this so many times and she is still not used to it. She let out a soft breath and walked to the front as the teacher instructed. The teacher murmured to start,and she shrugged as if she didn't care. Though her heart was hammering out her chest. "Hello.. My name is Ali Fox,but I would prefer if you called me Schnee though."She said with a neutral sort of expression on her face,and she continued."I don't like talking so let's just say I traveled the world,and I like cats,yeah?"She asked with a joking smirk on her face. A few snickers near the back of the room are heard though someone gave a disapprove huff. The teacher just scowled and told her to go sit down. She walked back and quietly sat down beside him with a small smirk on her face. She whispered softly,"How was that for a introduction?"Her joking tone prominent.

"That was amazing, duckling; best new girl speech I ever did hear!" He gave her a mischievous smirk and shrugged. "You were pretty scared though, I could hear your heartbeat from my seat." Sam teased playfully, pointing a pencil at her.
Soon enough the teacher shushed the class loudly, assigning them with drawing spheres so she could gather their art talent. Sam tried to be quiet as he worked, but found it quite difficult as every time he looked at Ali he wanted to say something else to her, talk with her, communicate. It wasn't soon enough that the class was over. "You have free period next, right?" Sam questioned as all the kids popped up and started to head to their next class.

She went red at the teasing,and scowled. "I wasn't scared. That was probably someone else."She denied with a small huff. As she worked easily on the sphere. Making a sketch of a circle,and then erasing the sketchy lines. She began the shading process,and she laid her head down as she lazily shaded it. A small smile crossing her lips. She liked the silence,but wished there was music all the same. Piano music,soft music,or any music really. She looked up towards him. "Yeah,next semester though I won't."She stated with a teasing grin. "I love free period,but my last high school forced you to have all slots filled."She mused with a small giggle. She got up,and turned in her work. She looked over at him,questioning whether he was coming or not.

"Oh, sure it was." He mumbled, giving her a soft smile. Sam had decided she was perfect so far, perfect. He watched her as he worked, wanting to take a picture of her like that. He was only vaguely aware of her speaking, and he glance up, almost tired; Sam felt as though he was walking through a crystal clear lake that pushed back at him, trying to pull him under. 'She's not having a free hour next semester?' A tiny part of his heart drop; he wondered how he'd feel in a weeks time if he felt this way now.
"Why not?" He questioned nonchalantly, looking back at his work to smile. As the bell rang he slipped his paper into his lap, folding it and placing it in the seat. "I'm coming, princess; chill your bill." Sam answered, giving her an antsy grin as he looked around, still people were around but they didn't seem to be coming his way so he got up and followed.

She rolled her eyes at him. When she heard him question the fact she didn't have free period next semester she tilted her head and looked at him. "Well I decided to catch up on my work.. Plus if I am in the class I decided to do instead of free period I get to use the lab whenever I like. So.. Yeah."She mused with a small grin. Though she laughed as she walked out class. Him behind her hopefully. "Princess? Well peasant is that anyway to talk to me?"She teased,her eyes gleaming with mischief. She wondered absently what she was going to draw or paint next. Maybe she could paint them? That'd be nice maybe.
