Sometimes having a bit of feline DNA seemed stupid because it didn't do much for me. It did however leave me with some darn good senses and the unmistakable sound of screaming wouldn't have been picked up by the rest of the flock. To make matters worse, no one was in any condition to risk finding out. Ren was down for the count, Jay was pretty banged up, and everyone else had a nice assortment of wounds themselves. Shaking my head I set Hiro down gently making sure to arrange his body in a more comfortable position before slinking out of the cave quietly. Without hesitation I jumped from the cave entrance falling down fast. My wings unfurled slowly and I headed towards the direction in which the distressed call had to have come from and I had a feeling that our missing birdie was somewhere near it because I found myself flying towards our recently abandoned house. For some reason, it seemed as if my wings wouldn't move fast enough no matter how hard I pushed and I began coming to terms with my own injuries. I'd be too late. I just knew it.

Storm yanked his arm out of her mouth before she could do too much damage. He then Punched her hard, hoping to knock her out.

Riley let out a straggled cry as her head whipped to the side from the power of the punch. Her last thought before she was knocked unconscious was; You'll never find them, you bastards. Her body went limp under Storm as she fell into the world of nothing.

((I've got this. Recap in 3...2...1...Now! Basically everything is just as you left it. Storm and Brock have found Riley who somehow managed to get left behind into the house and Jinx is off to save her but will inevitably be much too late.))

Storm sighed as her body relaxed and she blacked-out. He slowly stood up carrying her in his arms. and quickly left the house with Brock to the School.

As I flew I felt the pain in my shredded shoulder worsen until I could no longer fly straight. Even if the scream had come from Riley it would do her no good if I couldn't do anything to help her plus I could see black dots invading my vision. The silence that surrounded me had me thinking I was crazy so shaking my head, I turned and sped back to the cave landing just as quietly as I'd left. Sighing softly I scooped Hiro back up and rested my back against the rough cave wall waiting for the pain in my shoulder to subside.

Hiro felt himself be picked up and immediately went on guard, expecting to be carried off by some Eraser. He dug his unruly nails into soft flesh, looking up to see Jinx's face contorted with pain. He immediately let go, thinking it was him that caused her that pained expression, and gave her a somewhat apologetic look, unable to really put emotion into it when he was so tired.

Riley was vaguely aware that she was being carried, but it was as if she was a spectator to her own body, seeing what was happening; but being completely helpless in doing anything about it. No... You can't take me... I've got to find them... Those thoughts fluttered around in her unconscious mind until they to, just ebbed away.
