"Omelette" Snow replied, pushing the plate to the smaller pony with one wing, still absentmindedly rubbing at the numbers scrawled across his hoof. One disappeared quickly but the other didn't even smudge. Who writes on somepony with permanent ink? he thought to himself, finally giving up and carrying on with what he was saying "Well more Spanish omelette I suppose. It's got egg, cheese, pepper, tomato, potato..." he trailed off, looked at the kitchen counter to try and recall what else he put in there "And...other things" he shrugged. He stood, walking to the freezer and pouring ice into a glass "Drink?" he asked politely, still slightly thrown off by the fact there was somebody else in his home. He wasn't really that accustomed to house guests.
Well. Not ones who stayed for breakfast at least.

“It, uh…” Coal looked at the plate as it was pushed to him, a genuine smile spreading across his lips, “It looks and smells great.” His own wings spread before him, reaching out and pulling the plate even closer, far too distracted with delicious food to notice Snow rubbing away at his hoof. “I love potato,” was the last thing he mumbled before completely ignoring the fork and taking a bite of the omelette much like a hungry animal would. After getting about half the thing packed into his mouth he looked back up, cheeks bulging, and with a satisfied look. Unable to speak, Coal just bobbed his head in approval, chewing blissfully.

Snow sat opposite the smaller stallion, eyes bright with amusement "I can tell" he chuckled, lifting the knife to cut a piece of the omelette away, but ignoring the fork, instead bowing his head to neatly pick up the small cube of food. His eyes watched Coal, still full of laughter. He chewed slowly, analysing the favours. Needed more salt, but not bad.
"Careful, you'll choke or something" he frowned at the pace at which Coal eat "I'm not going to snatch it back you know" he joked. He hadn't seen a pony eat so quickly since...
No, he thought to himself, taking another bite Don't think about that.
"Do you live here then?" he asked, distracting himself.

Coal’s eyes narrowed on Snow from across the table as he was told to slow it up, but he was obedient and his chews came at a much more relaxed pace. He didn’t eat very well often. None of the colts back home knew how to cook, which usually resulted in them eating out, or making something quick that required little to no skill.
The Pegasus swallowed hard, his eyes watering slightly. He should have taken that offer on something to drink. “For now… Needed a break from the city.” He answered shortly, taking another bite, this one much smaller than the last. “Plus I kinda needed some money an’ so I got this paper gig. Don’t pay much but…” It was legal. Coal shrugged his shoulders. “Don’t ya live up North er somthin’?”

Snow nodded "Most the year. It's winter there right now. I love the cold but I draw the line when the inside of my windows frost up. So I leave during the winter, stay somewhere I like" he shrugged, walking to the kitchen and filling Coal a glass of water he passed to him "Plus it's nice to have a change of scenery. I like my home but it's nice to be around ponies again. Plus I can just buy food which is pretty cool. Though I may have taken that one to far, my fridge is gonna crack if I put much more food inside" he chuckled, forcing himself to eat the food infront of him, knowing he couldn't waste much more food.

“Must be pretty cold if even big ol’ furry you can’t handle it…”
Coal was finished with the omelette by the time Snow brought the glass of water to him. He happily accepted it, taking the cup between both hooves and raising it to his lips, drinking graciously. The cup was drained in seconds and Coal slapped it back on the table, grinning with a soft rose color to his cheeks. “Well, if ya ever need to… I dunno, get rid of any food, I’m always hungry.”
Once he was all finished he set his glass up top his empty plate then took the dish between his teeth before hopping off his chair and allowing himself into the kitchen. “This ain’t a bad place.” He noted between gritted teeth. “The counters are kinda tall…” Coal sighed, hopping up on his hind legs so that he could drop the plate and cup into the sink. He wondered for a moment if he should wash it… probably, but he just pushed on the sink and let it run for a second instead.

Snow rose, snickering slightly at Coal's comment on his fur. He followed him into the kitchen "Yeah not bad is it? Should be a palace for what they charge though. No way I could afford this if it wasn't for my savings. Either way it's better than a hotel. Miss room service a little" he laughed, placing his own plate in the sink with ease. He wasn't going to be the guy who pointed out the obvious. Plus he was fairly tall himself. He grabbed the bag of onions left out on the counter and carefully opened the fridge. It literally was piled with boxes of various foods, ranging from savoury to sweet. He slid the onions into a barely existant gap "Hey if you want to take some feel free. There's a bag in the cupboard under the sink you can fill" he offered.

Coal rolled his head around so he could see Snow, his ears pinning back a bit, “So it’s pretty pricy, huh?” Figures. He tapped off the faucet then dropped back down the floor, wandering up behind Snow, getting a peak into the packed fridge. “Sheesh, looks like yur storin’ for winter or somethin’” He pushed himself between Coal’s legs, the tips of his ears forcibly pushed down by the taller stallions chest.
The offer of food almost made Coal’s heart swell. His eyes widened and he dropped his head back, looking up at Snow in almost disbelief. “Ya’d really let me take some home?”

Snow nodded, still looking into the fridge, then looking down at Coal. He seemed to notice his disbelief and almost instantly his entire self changed. The laughter left his eyes and he looked away quickly, adjusting his scarf a little tighter around his neck "Sure, sure" he said, forcing another laugh. He didn't like seeing ponies hungry. He had seen his fair share of hunger "Take as much as you like, I can always help you carry it back. I won't eat so somebody might as well". He passed Coal a bag from the cupboard "I normally give it to the dogs. But they're staying with a pony in Vanhoover whilst I'm away"

Coal’s little nub of a tail swished behind him excitedly as Snow confirmed his offer of free food, one Coal just didn’t have the restraint to deny; especially with Snow’s food being so… so good. He ducked his head as the stallion stepped away to grab him a bag then dove into the fridge to see exactly what sort of tasty meals were up for grabs. “Dogs?" He asked curiously, opening up the bag Snow had provided then dropped an arms load of food containers inside, “Ohhh, that’s right, you said you had sled dogs, right? Don’t ya miss em while yur here?” Coal turned back toward the fridge, taking out a container and popping the lid off to get a smell of whatever was inside. He shrugged to himself and then tossed it into the bag with the rest.
