Huh, I've never thought of writing it out before... It probably wouldn't make much since if I did, anyway; I have a whole fantasy world made up around CS. XD Not to mention, dogs are more like humans with animal ears. Sometimes tails, too; I've got the standards for each animal written out. :lol:

I've thought a lot about this, obviously. XD I'm hoping to make this into some sort of fan comic, eventually; Seeing as writing isn't exactly my strong point- but I can make some pretty complex story lines. ;D

Haha, trust me, it's not weird at all. You should hear some of the crazy things I've come up with for my CS groups, including a futuristic military dictatorship, a circus, a tribal society secluded from human contact, and a bunch of rogue escapees living in a barren desert who have trained themselves to be nocturnal warriors to survive. The weird thing about all these is that most - if not all - connect to one another into one giant fantasy world. :3

The problem for me is that I can't draw my characters the way they appear in my head. I can write out their stories, sure, but I can't accurately show someone else how they look beyond how I verbally describe them. But, like you, I have a tendency to see my characters as humanoid with animal features.

That said, if you made a comic, I would LOVE to see it. 8D It sounds exciting just by the sounds of your characters, lol. As far as it making sense goes, I don't think that's much of a problem. If it's a fantasy world the characters are in, then readers are more likely to go "Okay, this is what the world's like" and not question it because as we all know, every sci-fi and fantasy world has its own unique set of rules. The hard part is making sure you don't accidentally break them! 8D

Aha, our worlds actually sound quite similar! XD I know what you mean about not breaking your own rules, I have a hard time keeping to them in the first place! But it gets easier the more you work with them, it's almost like you start to develop a new since of logic that only applies to your world. :3 And as for not being able to draw them out, I have that problem all the time. Usually if I just let my mind wander and not think about what I'm doing wrong, it usually turns out much better. -lawl- It's good for getting the basic design down; then you remember how you drew it last time, and then have the chance to fix anything that you might have left out- If that made any since. XD;;

Hah, Via' and Seak aren't even main characters- but, just like people, everyone has a different story to tell. Almost all of my pets have a back story, whether it comes up in the story itself or not. Oh, that reminds me- I've never put up my main pairing! XD;

          Sekizui[♂]------Nero[♂]
Nero is my main protagonist, and Sekizui is a close second to that role. :3 This relationship is almost imposable to write in a few sentences, seeing as it intertwines with the base plot so much, that I'd have to explain the entire story behind Terra. (The name of my world, so original, right? XD) But to put it simply- they're the type of relationship that can either be determined as 'cannon', or just a very strong friendship. Obviously I want to give them a more cannon feel, but I'm going to leave it up to the reader to determine where they stand. ;D

Haha, really? How funny is that? XD Your boys are awesome, by the by. I love that idea of letting the reader decide what's canon or not. I wanted to do that with characters in my world, but....I don't think I ever succeeded with that, lol. XD I pretty much have relationships set in my mind, regardless of what anyone else might think, lol.

I think I'll have to give your drawing advice a try. I usually get so hung up over my failures in human anatomy, but ignoring all that will at least give me that basic gist of their looks. :3

To follow suit, here's my main pairing, though it was a long time in the making as far as the blending of the different worlds goes. At first I was a little apprehensive about how the two of them would blend together...but it fits so well, given their world and their circumstances.

ImageImage
Zombie [f] & Shiv [f]

Both very strong and independent women, they met when they were much younger during military training and were basically "best frenemies" - pals but rivals at the same time. But they were separated shortly after for a majority of their lives, so their relationship wasn't a close one until later on in their lives when necessity brought them together as leaders. It's sort of a Romeo-and-Juliet-esque star-crossed lovers deal. By the time they actually get to be together, it's almost too late. It's also one of those things that can be seen as more of a close friendship, especially considering that Zombie had relationships with other females during the time she and Shiv were separated and Shiv herself had pups with one of her Captains. But in my mind, they have a deep understanding of one another and an equally intense love and respect for one another. I think it's a really beautiful relationship, regardless of whether it's romantic or not. :3

I'm so sorry for butting in, but I just wanted to say I certainly hope potential storytellers/character creators will learn from the way you two develop your characters and stories, they are wonderful to read (even if I'm not quite into same gender pairings myself XD).

Oh yep. I love it when you two post, your stories are incredible. Have you posted them anywhere else on the site? I'd love to read them.

I love your guys' stories and stuff, but I could never make the animals homosexual.
In my CS story it's all very much in nature and a typical pack setting, if not with some fantasy thrown in, of course.

Oh, and I've made more CS pet pairs, but I'm too lazy to put them. >.<;;

90% of the people who read Warriors books would totally freak out if the series ended. 10% would throw a big party. If you are the 90% that would scream and throw things at the people who were partying, copy and paste this to your sig.

:lol: We have fans, Caelwit!

@gLove: Aw~ thanks! :3 I don't know how people would react to having a kid teach them about character development, though. XD;

I have really impressed some of my teachers, though. :3

@Jemma-Jo: Well, like I said earlier, I'm not much of a writer- but, Caelwit might have. :3

@KarlyUnique: Aha- I don't think I would have as many male/male pairings if I had more female characters. However, I have an extremely hard time drawing, and basically understanding girls- I'm not sure why, seeing as I am one, but I've never been able to create a well-balanced female character. ._.; I don't really have that many female friends or family; and after being raised around so many guys, you just start to understand their many personalities better than you would understand a girls. XD;

Granted, I do have several female/female pairings and male/female ones, too. They're just harder to draw and write. :3
---

Now, back to the subject at hand. XD It really isn't that hard to create a canon/non-canon relationship- just drop some subtle hints between the two on a regular basis; readers who are open to the pairing will see them, and thus understand their relationship on a deeper level. Then, readers who are more-or-less oblivious to those hints will continue to see them with the character of their choice. :3

Anyway- your girls are great! Their designs complement each other extremely well; I'd love to see their human designs, if you ever get them drawn out. :3 Their story is very beautiful, too; I really envy other writers with strong female characters- being in the military will undoubtedly tear apart close friends in one way or another, and to be able to keep those feelings after being separated for so long, and after being in other relationships, really says something about their friendship. :3

As long as the kid was much better than me in character development, I'd have no problem with them teaching me :lol:

Sometimes I forget that I'm actually older than you XD The teens around me all write/type in chatspeak, it's crazy. Sometimes I mistake 15-year-olds for 20-year-olds or something. x3

It's so much more fun if a character or their relationships develop from events that shape them as they go along their lives. It's kinda like how I RP -- I hate having my character having a set "crush" or whatnot, because I want to see how the story develops them as they go along :) And my writing teacher used to say that the "invisible character" is so much more important than the visible one...kind of how, it's more powerful to talk about love in a way that you don't talk about it outright, that'll just make the story seem pointed and bland. So much nicer to give the readers something to think about as they read. :3

I think though, to make proper stories and such, one must be able to understand how certain events can affect a character's motivations and all...depending as well, on how their character will react to those events. =u=
