I stared at the girl right when she entered the house, trying to make it be as creepy as possible, kind of spacing out on her. I didn't like her already. Her thoughts were loud enough for me to hear without trying. So, slightly, I replied to her question that she didn't intend on to be answered. The avians live in it. Go figure. I placed the words in her mind and kept on staring at her, as if daring her to come another step. She was not going to move around the house without Max here, and there was no way she was touching my stuff.

Kirose's eyes snapped over to Angel, but realized she hadn't moved. Did the toddler just....talk in my mind? She narrowed her eyes, watching Angel. "So you can read minds?" She muttered, half to herself. Her hands fell to her sides, and she shoved then in her pockets.

I stare at her evenly for a few more minutes and then finally speak, not answering her question. "What do you want?" I asked, hugging Celeste. I hoped that she'd start to come in further so that I could make myself useful, but for now, she seemed put. I bit my lip, wondering briefly if the others had noticed that there was an intruder in the house yet.

Kirose smirked, looking down at Angel. "I was wonderig what you wanted, you seemed so interested in me when I was talking to Max and Fang." She ran her hand through her hair, and looked back outside. "Where are the other three brid kids? I'd rather talk to someone who's not holding a teddybear." She nuttered, looking at Celeste.

I stared up at Kirose, not making any emotion show at all. I still stared at her with a blank face. "We've never seen another avian before otherwise than us." I answered quietly. Hey, at least it was true. Then things kind of changed when she mentioned Celeste. I narrowed my eyes slightly. "I don't think that they'd like to talk to you." I shot back, staring at her unhappily. Suddenly Total came around the corner, about to go outside to do his business. He was eating some what used to be cake from what it looked like. When he looked up and saw the avian, he made a squeaking noise. Oh no... She couldn't know that he could ta- "And who are you?" he asked, fluttering his wings to get them back into place. I would have smacked my forehead with my palm if I could, but I didn't want to attract that much attention. Total looked at me and shrugged, noting my face. "What?"

Kirose arched one eyebrow when the dog talked. She slowly looked from Total to Angel, slightly confused. "The dog....just talked." She muttered, and closed her eyes for a moment. "Six bird kids, and a talking dog. It's like Scooby Doo." She chuckled, and bent down so she was level with Angel. "I'm going to leave now before the teddybear starts talking." She said slowly, then spread her wings.

I stared evenly at the girl, tipping my head to one side. Total stared at the girl and huffed. "Of course I can talk." he muttered and walked away and down the hall. I turned back to the girl and stared at her with a slight narrowed gaze. "Bye." I said simply, waving slightly, making it sound like I was anticipating her leave. Well... I kind of was because I could read her thoughts, but she didn't have them guarded enough, so it wasn't my fault.

{I'm going to play Nudge for a post and I hope that's alright. I'll edit it to be a Fang post if you want. I just kinda wanted to make something happen before Max and Fang get home.}

Nudge sat on the floor in Max's bedroom, unaware that the new girl had just been in the house, talking to Angel. She was looking through the papers that had their birth information on them. It was what she liked to do when she was bored; she like to go through the papers and picture each of her friends with their real parents. She took extra time imagining her own parents, of course.
But this time, as she shuffled past Fang's, she noticed a name she hadn't seen before. "What's this?" she mumbled with her brow furrowed in confusion.
She took the paper and started reading it. It sounded familiar, so she compared it to Fang's.
In utter shock, she dropped her hand that were full of papers to her sides and stared at the wall in surprise. Quickly, she put away all the papers in the back of Max's closet where she'd found them.
What should she do? Obviously, the girl must have been dead or she would've been in the crates with them back in the School...right? She would have escaped with them. Would it just be like putting salt on the wound for Fang? What if he already knew about her?
She decided she'd leave it alone until they got home, then she'd bring it up.

MAX

I turned my head in the direction Fang had pointed out, and narrowed my eyes against the sunlight, letting my raptor vision kick in. I focused in on the black dot...which began to turn into several different black dots. My eyes widened, and I took in the appearance of the cliff...the only way anyone would be able to get there would be by helicopter or wings. I stiffened slightly, and looked at Fang. "That's a group," I said quietly, already banking in their direction. It looked like only one of them were paying attention so far, and that figure looked very eager. A knot began to twist in my stomach.

JACOB

I sighed and rubbed the back of my neck with one hand, ruffling my wings about behind me into the soft wind that blew over the cliff. I turned to face the open sky, and then stiffened, my eyes locking in on two black dots way away in the sky. Definitely not planes; way too small. I placed a hand on my forehead to shade my eyes, peering closer, trying to focus on the oddly-shaped objects.

Fang followed Max silently, keeping his eyes focused on the group. Their forms slowly became more and more detailed with every mile they passed. As soon as he caught sight of the outline of their wings, he sped up a little. What they had been talking about that morning had actually been true, and Max had said something gave her the feeling that there were more avians...
He glanced over at Max. As he took in the sight of her hair being tossed in the wind and her beautiful wings pulsing steadily, he thought maybe he should trust her intuition more often.
Once they finally came to the cliff, he landed soundlessly, his sneakers raising little clouds of dust. He took in the sight of the other avians without saying a word.

Chayse looked up in surprise when she sensed someone new nearby. A tall boy with dark hair and fathomless eyes as dark as night was studying the group.
He looked like a "Fang" to her.
"Oh God," she murmured, standing up. Something about the boy was...strange. She couldn't quite place it though.
