{That's a lovely horse. :) }

ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴅ ᴘʀᴇᴍᴏɴɪᴛɪᴏɴ

Blanche was a fast horse with long, sleek legs and a thin frame that could gain speed easily and keep it. She was shorter than the average for her breed, but not so short that she would have been called a pony. Hooves thumped against the grassy ground. She had hoped (foolishly, she might add) that the stallion would have joined in, but when she glanced back to where she had left off, she saw him standing and staring at nothing. Still, here was Lily, galloping along beside her, catching up, as Blanche had only been having a little fun, putting small bounces into her run here and there to further expend her energy. Now all that stopped as Lily turned it into a race. She went zooming ahead, her graceful gait keeping track of her speed while her hooves danced beneath her, sending up grass and dirt as she flew in a wide circle around the stallion, letting out a small whinny. Already, her sides were glistening in the heat of the day, sweat beginning to speckle down her white coat. Finally (now that she was good and ahead of the black horse, far enough ahead to decide that she had won), she stopped, rearing up on her back hooves and shouting out another long whinny, holding herself in the air for a few long seconds before crashing back down, blue eyes glazed in glee. She had caught Lily's words just as she had started to dart away. We could do better. Sure, the black mare could. She was lovely with a fine frame, strong willed and determined. Nothing could stop her. But who would voluntarily take Blanche, with her quivering shape, soft voice, and odd coat. The hideousness of her occasionally sickened her, and it was these times she would remove herself from all company, trying to find some danger that would end her pitiful life. She had no chance with any stallion and was surprised that Judge hadn't left yet. It was only a matter of time...

.:l i l y :: m a r e :: f o u r - y e a r s:.
The fact that the stallion didn't join us only made me want to canter off to find a more determined stallion. But I didn't think on it to hard as right now I was getting my butt whipped at this race, but it was something that always brought joy to Blanche so I let the race fall to her victory, not that I could really do anything about it. Blanche strode proudly and quickly around the stallion and as i slowly began to gain on her I nudge her to get her to run more freely away from the stallion. She however stops to rear up, whinnying proudly in her victory. I slow to her side and rise up challenging her height and pound on the ground causing the earth to rumble under my weight. I was bigger then my companion by a lot and most of that was due to my breed, being taller and stronger, but slower then most breeds. Coming down I start off again at a quick speed hoping Blanche will join me, but i keep running even running between a mare (Mystery) and a stallion (Archer), not slowing for casualties just keep running. The wind flowing around me and causing my mane to fly behind me as a banner, and in the excitement I let out a proud whinny. I was just happy to run.

Slews Verdict

There goes my chance Judge thought sadly as Lily took off. Then, they had had the chance of courting and even a deal. Now,they would have to deal with an angry stallion with great stamina.Stony eyes glowing a dark red the big dun reared onto his thick, muscled back legs and pawed the air with a mighty neigh before charging off in pursuit of the black. His powerful legs propelled him forward, but an inner instinct gave him speed.Judge lowered his neck and took on a charging stance as he chased Lily.Almost out of the blue a mare and stallion appeared, and the big dun had to brace his legs and skid around them before resuming his grueling pace.

ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴅ ᴘʀᴇᴍᴏɴɪᴛɪᴏɴ

She felt the nudge to her side and watched as Lily raced off, giving her no notion where she was going or if she would be back. By the way she ran, Blanche had her doubts that the mare was considering returning. She looked back at the dun stallion, who seemed the nicest male she had met, but he reared up and raced off as well, tearing after Lily. Did Blanche go, as well, off into some unknown and try to get her friend and potential friend back? Or did she stay here and risk it on her own? Already, her legs throbbed, and her breathing had not yet returned to normal, but the answer was obvious. Clearly, she couldn't stay here with stallions and predators just waiting to reach out and snatch her. She took off after the stallion, now a few paces behind but quickly gaining on him. Stallions were more heavily built than mares, and muscle weighed them down.

Slews Verdict

Though he continued after Lily,Judge felt his thoughts breaking through the rogue stallion intent that originally gave him the urge to give chase. He had promised to let them go if they pleased, yet here he was giving chase with the plans to force them into a herd.Even with his instincts protesting the dun began to slow, still chasing but not nearly as savagely as before. Now he just wanted to follow. As the blood quit pounding in his ears Judge realized that Blanche was following, but gaining quickly.Taking a look back he wanted to get them both slowed down.Even in motion he could tell that she was breathing heavily.Things could take a turn for the worse with situations like this, especially in such heat.

Lily

I hadn't given much thought to that he might try to snake us should we leave him and that's because he gave us his word. But the sounds of heaven hoof prints followed me defiantly not those of Blanche, it was only proof that you could never trust stallion no matter how kind. So I look back as he powered after me though had to slow at the presence of the stallion and mare, but I was happy to see Blanche follow. For a moment it looked as if she were going to sprin away, but she followed. The thought alone made me smile and want to turn around as i wasready for a challenge. So in a few paces as he had began to caught up at a slower pace I turn around aburptly rearing high. My hooves came down only inches away from the stallion, and I snort fear lay nod my breath was a little labored.

Ace of Spades

Spade nodded gently, trotting towards the mountains, though he looked back often so as to make sure she kept up well. Reaching the base of the hill, he started up, but made sure not to go too far ahead of Hicktown. As he had a little more experience then she did, he could test the ground so she only had to follow where he placed his feet. It was assured that where Spade, a muscle bound stallion could go, the more agile palomino mare could as well. And so, he started up.

Testing the ground quietly, he worked quickly, finding little footholds here and there, and placing his hooves on the firm but slightly sloping ground. He gave a snort, still occasionally looking behind him as he scanned the area, trying to find a cave somewhere higher up. There usually were, after all. Spade nickered encouragingly to Hicktown, knowing that she was a little apprehensive from her body language.
Mostly just on rps now. XD

ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴅ ᴘʀᴇᴍᴏɴɪᴛɪᴏɴ

Blanche overtook Judge, making a small berth around him, just in case he decided to use those teeth for something other than eating grass. She wasn't sure at all why Lily had taken off and left the stallion's care, and perhaps it had been a fault to follow. Judge seemed strong enough to hold his own against most, and though he had lost a herd, he seemed to be trying to get it back the in nicest way he could think of, letting the mare decide if she wanted to stay with him. The only reason Blanche had not teamed up with a stallion was because he would ground her, make him stay by her side when she had wanted to explore the world. But then, how was Lily that much different? She followed the mare as she would a stallion, giving up her own desires for the protection from her. What would be so different about living with a stallion? He would be stronger than she and more reliable when fighting off predators and other stallions, because he'd want to keep her. Lily had no real attachment to Blanche. The only drawback would be having his foals. That was why stallions kept mares close to them, and the young mare couldn't see why anyone would want her ugly little foals. If Judge would accept her, why not accept him? But maybe it was only Lily he wanted... After all, he had gone racing after the mare and left Blanche standing by herself. Now she was conflicted, and she barely had time to register that her friend and stopped running, turning back to face her and Judge. She veered right, using every muscle in her body to stop herself. She turned then, sides heaving in an attempt to gain air back that had been lost.

"THEY ONLY STAY TO HEAR THIS MUCH.
i don't blame them"
name-- "It's a fancy meeting you. I'm known as Hawkeye. It's a powerful name, at least to me. The hawk is a majestic bird of prey. As dangerous as it is, it has a type of grace to it."
age-- "I am approximately six years old, give or take a few months."
gender-- "I thought it was pretty obvious. I'm a stallion."
height-- "I am 16.2 hands tall."
breed-- "I'm a full-blooded Thoroughbred."

"THE MAN IN THE MIRROR.i'm asking him to change his ways"
appearance-- "Ahh. Many say I'm an unusual colored equine, and they would be correct. I am a brindled seal brown stallion. With white brindles, obviously. Under my brindle, my coat is seal brown. That means I have a dark bay pelt, but on the tender points, like my nose and stomach are a lighter brown. I have dark brown eyes. My mane is clearly black, or pretty dark close to it. My mane is no longer braided, that was only when I was a show horse. With my tall figure, I come with long legs. Since I am a Thoroughbred, I can gallop at astounding speeds. Like most other horses, I have impressive muscles under my skin."

"IT'S THE INSIDE THAT MATTERS. or is it?"
likes-- "Well, I love a good snack of bluegrass after rain. I like water too. You know, like rivers and such. I also love the snow. Yeah, I know. It's childish. But everyone has to have a good time sometime, right?"
dislikes-- "I don't like fire. Or snakes. Obviously. Like every herbivore, I don't like carnivores. I don't like those cocky stallions either."
personality-- "I look like a tough guy. Well, I am. I'm not one to back down from a challenge. I'll protect those I care about, whether it takes my life or not. I won't watch my loved one be harmed in any way. When I have my mind set, I usually don't change it. I can be nasty sometimes, I admit it, but that's usually only towards a horse that really provokes me. But I do have a soft spot, believe it or not. Especially for mares and foals. Even if a mare isn't 'mine', that doesn't mean I won't step in to help it out. If it's in trouble or something. But if there's stallion wither, chances are I'll just keep going on my own way. I like to have a good time. Maybe not mischief exactly, but you know, good ole' fun. I'm quiet, too. I'm not the kind of horse that'll neigh just to find someone to talk to. I prefer staying under the radar. You can relate, can't you?"
history-- "I wish I didn't have to tell you this. Or anyone. I used to belong to a stable. They rode Western and English. I was used as a lesson horse for more advanced riders. In shows, I competed in barrel racing and cross country. I was terrific at it. Well, one day at an English show somewhere in Florida, a storm crept up on us while we were competing. Being a horse, I was scared. I remember it like it was yesterday. We were galloping down the cross country trail, doing great, when it started to pour. It was so bad I could barely see. My rider Olivia and I couldn't hear the officials call everyone back to the barn. Then, lightning struck a tree. It collapsed to the ground, covered in flames. I remember Olivia pulling frantically on the reins to stop me. But I kept going. I don't know what got into me. I galloped on and leapt over the flaming tree. The flames burnt part of my chest. It wasn't bad, but it sure hurt. I felt like falling; just like the tree. But I kept going. I knew I had to get Olivia back to the barn. But I didn't know where we were. I had never been to that course before. Well, I managed to find a crowd of people. They took Olivia away from me. Another man grabbed my reins and pulled my head. I knew I had made horrible mistake. They took me to a vet, where my burns were cared for. Olivia came to my stall after the vet was done and patted my neck. She said, 'You've been a good boy.' I saw hurt in her eyes, and I suddenly flattened my ears. I was sold to an older man. When I arrived at his house a few days later, he turned me out in the pasture with his other horse, Finnegan. I stood motionless for about a half an hour, then I made my decision. I galloped to the fence and leapt over it, disappearing with a few bucks and wild whinny. Now I'm out here."

"YOU DONT KNOW ME. i'm hard to love"
crush-- "Not at the moment."
herd-- "I have yet to begin a herd."

______________________________________

name ;; Crimson Lightning. This mare was actually named about a month after her birth, which was when her parents were almost positive that her coat would stay a red chestnut. She was given the 'Lightning' part of her name because there was a fierce storm on the night she was born. She prefers to be called Flare.

age ;; This mare was born about four years ago.
gender ;; Flare is a pure mare.
breed :: quarter horse x mustang

personality ;; First things first. Flare is a complicated mare with a few personalities. If a stallion approaches her, she'll be catious and maybe give him a taste of her humor, which isn't very good. Well, she doesn't think it is. It'll take a while for her to actually get to trust someone like she would trust a family member. This mare has her moments, though. If anything threatens her family, or the one she cares for, she won't hesistate to turn aggressive. She isn't afraid to wound someone who serves as a threat, whether it may be another horse, or a bear, wolf, coyote, or cougar. If she really doesn't like you, Flare won't try to make it obvious, but if you did something really bad, she might glare at you a few times. Or she won't look at you and not say anything. But she won't kill someone just because they seemed a bit rude. Crimson will most likely keep her distance and avoid you as much as she can. But if disaster strikes, don't be surprised if she does talk to you and ask or help, or offer to help you. But, this mare also has a soft side. If someone is hurt and needs help, she won't wait to think about it before jumping in to help. Flare likes company, and when she's alone she wants it. Well, most of the time. Sometimes, like everyone else, she just needs her space. Like once she just got out of a fight, it's best to lt her cool off. Crimson Lightning is very loyal and she won't even think about leaving a stallion for another. Unless they did something horribly wrong. Speaking of stallions. Yeah, sure, Flare may have a small crush once in a while, but she won't show it. The biggest thing she'll probably do is just talk to them sometimes.

history ;; Crimson Lightning was born to a bright bay mare and a sorrel stallion. She had an older brother called Harvey. He was a light bay horse with four black legs. Flare lived with her happy little family of four. It was perfect. Until it wasn't. They were camped out in the woods, and it was storming. Flare woke up to the sound of each clan of thunder and awake to see every lightning bolt. Then, with just her luck, the lightning stuck a nearby tree. It collapsed with crackles and creeks. Crimson's mother woke up after her little filly had been nudging her for a few seconds. While the mare was waking up, Flare heard an ear-splitting whinny. Her brother. Harvey. By then, her father was awake and searching for his son. The lightning had not only caused a tree to collapse, but it started a fire. After frantically looking for Harvey, they saw him. The handsome colt had burn marks on his shoulders and he was bleeding. Flare blamed herself for not being able to help her brother before he had gotten wounded. Crimson Lightning had also gotten a few wounds. She had a cut from her withers to her stomach which eventually just turned into a scar. Well, after about a year, Harvey and Flare left their parents and travelled together for a few weeks. Then they decided to go their own ways and after a few years of living on her own, she found her way here. Just recently, she has received the news of her brother's passing.

rank;; Flare is a lone mare.
herd ;; She is not in a herd.

Slews Verdict

His eyes grew wide in surprise as Lily turned on him, rearing up and coming dangerously close to his head.Instinctively his ears pinned back, but he did not lash out.Every nerve in his body wanted to fight the mare, yearned to fight the challenger and show his strength.Still,he turned around and went to Blanche's side, his muscles twitching and jumping underneath his taut coat. Now it seemed his opportunities with the black were shot, but maybe the white would choose him over her friend."I won't fight you,Lily."he said strongly, his voice firm, not threatening.Turning to face Lily,Judge looked dead at her with his hard eyes, face blank emotion wise.He wanted to speak to Blanche now,but did not know how to get her alone without spooking anyone.

Hollywood Hicktown

Hesitantly she followed Spade, placing each long, white splotched leg deliberately in front of the other. Were Spade stepped,Holly mimicked the action and did no other move.As they climbed higher her fear gradually dissipated, turning into a sort of pride for herself for over coming this little hurdle. When Spade looked back, she now let out an excited whinny, not an anxious look. Now,though mostly following Spade,Hicktown began taking her own steps, picking out places that looked sturdy and praying that she was right.
