She sighed. "Look. I apologized. I accepted my mistake, and I was willing to fix it. Why can't you just accept my apology? I accepted yours after you called me a wh*r*, and everything else, and then came back to me because people were doing the same thing to you."

"Okay! I accept your apology." Chloe said.

"I'm gonna go see dad. I'll see you later," she said, and went back to Jackson.

"Ask him about a back brace and pain meds please." Chloe said.

Jackson waited in the car.

She nodded. "I will. I'll text you what he says," she said, then went and got in the car.

Jackson headed out the driveway, driving to the hospital.
