I wanted to fight. Every fiber of my being was screaming at me to fight back but the most I could do was sit there limply too tired and in too much pain to fight back anymore. Then I did something that I never did in front of anyone. I cried. My small body shook with silent sobs and my bangs hung low over my eyes thankfully hiding most of my face.
