Cardinal wrote:@Evergreen: We actually have an aussie rescue here and you wouldn't BELIEVE how many double merles there are.. I was astounded, it was like every other dog on the list was a double merle and have some type of issue like being blind in one/both eyes or being deaf in one/both ears.. etc. :/ Sickening.

But.. I HATE THIS GAME! xD! I can't wait to start fostering.

Also, the shep/grey is in a very very very high kill shelter. omg, I wish I could snatch him, if only to rehome him and be sure he found a home.. : Dies:

So sad :( It's insane how many people don't know that you can't cross two merles. My office manager is a chihuahua "breeder" and i had to explain this to her(she was planning on breeding blue merles ugggghhh). I would love to rescue a double Merle (of any herding breed) I think I could deal with a deaf dog, blindness however would be challenging I think.

That shep/grey is sooo cute, love the long legs. I hope he finds a home.

I've mostly been just stalking this thread since the last time I posted, but this game is one of my favorites!
Image Mongo, the German Shep mix. Ahh what a cutie <3 He'd be perfect for us! He's got all the basic obedience training, is good on a leash and in the car, crate and house trained, great with kids, and is only 20 minutes away from here! *squeals*
Image Honey, the Hound/Lab mix. Just look at that adorable faaaace! She wouldn't fit into our house very well, but she sure is a cutiepie.
Image Bear, the Husky mix. Ahh I'm such a sucker for big, fluffy lap dogs, and that's just what he is! A handsome gentle giant. He's a bit too far away though :c
I need to stop before I get myself all excited for no reason lol

D-O-G (Dee-Oh-Gee). If I didn't know that albinos came with so many health and temperament problems, I'd consider him.

I've been eyeing Icarus and Farra for a while... they've been up since before I got Skoll.

Aaaaand as usual, I fall for the chow mixes pretty hard.

Time for me to stop lurking here uvu

Image

Look at that face <3 She'd make a great sister for Max, too!

Image

A beautiful Beauceron x Rottie mix; she's basically like a huge lapdog, and she'd fit into our household nicely!

Image

Mostly because I've wanted a Catahoula Leopard Dog for a while; but just look at her!

Nearly all the petfinder descriptions I see include "doesn't like dominant dogs" "she's nice, but just prefers to be the alpha" "is a more dominant dog" ???? can u not

I so agree with you. It's darn right annoying. I would like the real reason why the dog is acting the way it is, not your made up fantasy, plzkthnx. My favorite, though,, is when they acknowledge the dog is fearful towards something but INSIST on saying their being dominant towards the trigger. I mean, come on!

I know. It's so frustrating- like what's the story? Dog aggressive? Shy? Nervous? Aaah. I don't know what the dog's personality or behavior problem is when you just say dominant.

" though she would ideally prefer to be nearby the alpha people in her pack!"
" She will hover and dominate small dogs, "
" She has lots of energy and can be a little pushy as a "want to be" alpha "

ALL ON THE SAME DOG DESCRIPTION

downright adorbz, though. i have a soft spot for merles. xD

An add on kijiji........ Oh for the love of Pete......

I have a beagle bluetick I would like to breed. She is a female tri-coloured. I would like to breed her with any medium sized dog. She is on her period and is in her heating cycle. I would like to breed her next time she is in heat or after. I will call you when she is in her heating cycle. This will be the first time breeding her. I want to keep most of the puppies except one which can go to the other breeder (if you want one). I will give $20 to whoever the other breeder is. She is very loyal. I am not giving her away I just want to breed her. PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL ASAP!!! Thanks.
