YES. I loved Leviathan & Behemoth- alternative history isn't usually my cup of tea, but it was handled so tastefully and, like most of the author's work, was very well thought-out. I would have preferred the characters to be of more realistic age, though he did a good job of incorporating their youth into the story in realistic fashion.

@Lady Sabine
I love how he puts slang into his books, it makes the worlds seem so much more believable.

Language is everything in a book! Proper period vocab and construction can make or break a work. Also, what fun is a fanbase without some jargon?

I love that book! One of my favourites. It's a very good series, and my first introduction to steampunk.

I haven't read any Steampunk before it, but I adored the style and stuff. I'll find the rest of the series over the summer.

Went to Barnes & Nobel yesterday! Got a few new books: Rumblefish, The Outsiders (which I've already read, but adored), Tales of Norse Mythology, Walden and Civil Disobedience, and A Photographic History of the Rolling Stones!

What a great big mixture of books! I often end up with lots when I go into book store to!

I have a very odd variety of interests, most of which are demonstrated in all those books. The Norse Mythology one has very different versions of the myths than I'm familiar with, which is odd as pretty much all our knowledge of Norse Mythology is from like four sources...
