Trinity had started to doze off, leaning on Jackson.

Jackson smiled.

Myles walked in with all the rest of the kids. "Is he okay?" he asked.

Makayla and Mark were standing close. They were still each other's best friends.

Mandy was carrying Max, trying not to cry.

"Mandy, those tears better stay in your ducts." Mason said.

Chloe looked at Myles. "He still has his sense of humor."

Mandy looked at him, and smiled a bit. "Sorry," she said, and handed Max to Makayla and went to him.

Myles nodded. "Yep," he said.

"You did better than Maria." He teased, hugging her.

Chloe smiled, slowly walking in with him. She'd been trying to use the chair less, but was struggling a bit. The walk from the car to Mason's room was really bothering her.

Mandy hugged him back. "I didn't see it happen," she said. "I was bawling at home."

Myles looked at her. "You should sit, babe."

Mason nodded. "I know. I'm sorry you guys had to worry like that."

Chloe nodded, letting herself collapse into one of the chairs.

Mandy shook her head. "It's fine. Just as long as you're okay."

Myles sat with her.

Chloe leaned into Myles. "That takes too much effort."
