CTS:: Adoption:: ImmyWimmy1's Sophie

[size=85][center]Best name gets this little mare.

Show Name: Diamonds Come In Gold
Barn Name: Sophie, though sometimes we call her 'Sophia'
Gender: Mare
Age: 7 years
Coat Color: Palomino
Why do you want her?: I love the little flecks in her coat. I bet if she were a real horse, they'd make her coat shimmer in the sunlight! I also like her mane (sorry to quote MLP FiM, but it's true!), as it's more realistic than all of the horses I ever make on here.
Other?: I bought Sophie at the annual Cherry Tree Stables Auction, as I do most of my Shetlands:

I waited on the edge of the Sales Ring. Even though it was about five am in the morning, a large crowd of all sorts of people (riding schools, professionals, etc.) had gathered, waiting for the auctions to start. The wind was chilling that morning and we all felt it, as the auctions were all carried out in a marquee. I rubbed my hands together and blew warm air over them to stop them from going numb. I alternated the leg I stood on ever two seconds, hoping the movement would keep me warm. I wasn't the only one either.

Suddenly, the auctioneer climbed up into her box overlooking the ring. She waited until she had everyone's attention before starting the sales. Sophie was the first horse up on that particular day. Her attractive coat and flawless paces caught everyone's' eyes, including mine. I placed the first bid on her. Gradually, more bids came in and the atmosphere grew intense. Eventually, it was just down to me and one other gentleman. After a long and painful one-to-one bidding battle, I managed to outbid him and win Sophie. There was a small cheer from my side of the auction room. Some people must have placed bets on who was going to win!

After paying the money to her old owner, I collected Sophie and led her back to my horsebox. I was very pleased with her. She was even more beautiful close up! I gave her a pat of appreciation before loading her into the horsebox. Once she was safely settled with a hayrack, I went back to the Sales Ring. Maybe there'd be another beautiful mare. But I knew no one could ever match the beauty of my Sophie.

Suggestions for Coat colors?: I'd love to see more roans from you. Your roans are definitely worth going for. I'd also like to see more of your appaloosas (maybe you could try snowcaps?) and paints (mainly tobianos and overos). In markings, I'd look for blazes and stars for the face and socks and coronets on the legs.
