Emyriches are large docile creatures that inhabit the large, mystical island of Emyr. They emerge from their leafy lairs at dusk and are active for most of the night and morning. A colony of Emyriches is a tightly knit community, mostly consisting of a couple families. They are very social but completely silent as they lack mouths. They communicate through the bells on their tails which are also completely silent to the average human ear. The Emyriches pick up these signals through their large rabbit like ears and then respond is necessary. How do they eat? Well, they use the colorful pads on their feet to absorb nutrients from plants. This doesn’t harm the plant.
They are the size of a small horse when full grown. Females are slightly taller than males and are usually the ones that lead the colonies. Males mark territories and guard if they have to. Their only means of self defense are their size and small claws on their hind feet.
Cubs are born without bells and are mute for the first few months. At two years old, a cub will receive a wrap. This wrap will be their first and probably last. The parent either makes it or hires someone to. This band displays the cubs personality and where they stand in the colony. Females wear them on one of their front legs and males on one of the back. The wraps can be vibrantly colored and intricate but usually match the eyes and paw pads of the cub. They stand out from the naturally colored coat of the Emyrich.
)))About Breeding
Welcome to the nursery! This is the place where you can breed your adult Emyriches.
Emyrich couples breed for life and usually have 1-3 litters together.
Almost all litters consist of 2 cubs. Very few consist of just 1 (a one in 10 chance) and never 3.
The chance of getting a male or female is even and totally random. (A number generator is used.)
The ear and bell type is determined by the artist. If both parents have normal ears, the cub will have normal ears. If one parent has lop ears and the other has normal, it is a 1 in 3 chance of getting a lop cub.
There are never cubs with one of each ear type.
The cubs do count as your 5 total. You have a few options after breeding:
-Both owners can keep one or one can keep both.
-You can gift one to a friend. Both owners must agree with this and the user must be a member of the fanforum.
-You can have the artist put one or both up for public adoption. You will help judge and arrange the contest. ;3
You can not:
-Give the cub away without notifying the artist before.
-Have people bid/pay you for the cub or bribe you into breeding the Emyriches for them.
-Decide gender, traits, or designs if you are not an artist.
-Bother an artist that has their slots closed.
