I didn't ship it until I came across a Dave who kind of forced it on me, but it was okay because 1. I ship Sollux with everyone and 2. it was actually really cute. I saved a screenshot on my tumblr.

It's a habit to use ship names, I suppose? I just use them because I find them cute and or hilarious, like Rosemary or Communism. I can also see how they would be confusing though, like how Cuddlefish can apply to basically anyone/Feferi.

People have tried to force ships on me.
Like Johndave. It doesn't work. People have tried. Like with USUK in Hetalia.
It doesn't make me like the ship, it makes me hate it with a passion.

It doesn't bother me as much when it's in character -- you can easily brush it aside or disconnect -- as it does out of character. It makes it, in my opinion, way more unpleasant when someone tells you why you should like a ship and expects you to reply saying how you agree. Plus, the OOC chat makes me feel like I have more of an obligation to respond.
That's why I don't particularly fancy Karezi or Gamtav. :/

But I was fine with the Davesol; they were pretty much in character and gave me plenty of opportunities to object. So

The people I conversed with didn't leave me alone. I thought they were friends, but I mean. They never shut up. Never. Never.

So, I RP'd one of them in a chatroom and they wouldn't leave me alone but it was like I was there first and I was too stubborn to leave. So, that was probably my fault. That's not the point, though.

The point is, if someone isn't interested in something, you shouldn't force them into it.
