Staci turned when she heard her name called. "Oh, Morgan, hi. Just... You know... Practicing... And stuff... What about you?" For some reason, Morgan had always made Staci a little bit... Uncomfortable. She had no reason for it, but she couldn't shake the feeling...

"I was just reading, you know." Morgan gestured to his book. "Any luck with the practicing?" He questioned, knowing her skill levels. "You put in enough practice to be a master at this."

"Oh? Really? What book? It looks interesting." Staci said politely. "And the practicing... Ah, yes... I'm just... having a bad day... Yeah, that's it, I just can't seem to hit the target today... I really need some more sleep, so maybe after that I'll do better..." It wasn't fair, Staci thought. Why was she the one who never got good at what she really liked to do?

(..How do the Cutters and such start off? I can't seem to think of a good way.)

(Well, they're in the place between worlds, the cutter's domain. Usually they're on missions, training their apprentices, or simply watching. Any of those would work...)

"Oh, really? I saw the movie, and I've been meaning to read the book... I've heard it's much better... What do you think?" Staci replied. She decided to move away from the subject of her marksmanship, seeing as it was literally impossible about how badly she missed every shot. How do you aim for a target two inches away and hit the person standing six feet behind you? It doesn't work!

(Yes, she is that bad. And she's a gunman. Luckily, she gets better later... I think.)
