O U T S I D E

I am a level headed, reasonable girl. I don't understand why no one understands that. I do what I do for the good of the world. I admire and respect my surroundings, and some of the creatures in it need to learn, and be taught a lesson about how to respectfully treat the environment, and the supreme beings like myself, whom thrive in it.
Now, simply to clear things up, my name is Vega. I am a fae, or female, hell hound. I am a part of the greater good, the supremity of this world. Most call me 'evil', but they simply don't understand my cause, my motives, which are far too complex for the small minded beings to understand. I stand at 3 and a half feet at the shoulder, and measure 8 feet from nose to tail. I weigh in at a staggering 250 pounds, being a Hell hound. I also have a large, lethal mouth of dagger like teeth, including a pair of saber ling fangs, which I use to put my opponents to shame and humiliation when confronted or challenged. I also possess long, deadly venom fillied spines on my shoulders and elbows, along with some titanium tough ram Like horns. My pelt is short, except around my neck, and its base colour is a deep blood red. And I will warn you, all 150 pounds of me is pure muscle.

I can seem a little old fashioned, perhaps even english, with the way I speak and act. I am quite polite, I truly to try to be, but once pushed enough I will break, acting out in ill mannered ways, such as cursing, arguing, insulting, fighting and sometimes, though rarely, murdering another creature. Of course, this has only happened so many times, as I am quite reserved, calm, and collected, therefore I don't regularly kill wolves for survival; I hunt prey, peacefully. My attitude towards life is, however, quite pessimistic. I am mainly a realist, but rarely do I act or think in an optimistic and hopeful fashion.

Behind my sleek, athletic exterior, beyond my sarcastic and challenging personality, there is a lost, scared little chick trembling and crying for her mother, long ago departed during the worst storm she'd ever seen.

I am a confident, stubborn and justified young gryphon with her eyes on the prize. I have little to no regard for authority, not even the king and queen, and love to break the rules, cause mayhem and get into trouble. However, despite my ignorant and oblivious, dangerous attitude towards order, I am quite rational, reasonable and logical. I may be a tiny bit crazy, but I never go far enough to hurt someone, not even my enemies. Oh, now, speaking of enemies, it doesn't take too much to get on my bad side, so watch out. When I want to prove my worth I race. I'm the fastest around, next to a peregrine cheetah gryphon. Fastest in the sky, I'd say. My small, lithe body and powerful, aerodynamic wings can get me up to

over 200 miles an hour! I suppose it pays to be small. Unlike some, all of my bones are light and marrowless, allowing me to use less energy when flying. But it has its downfalls, for if I get into a paw to paw fight I can easily break a bone, and it will take a lot to heal.

Whenever confronted for something, or accused of something I didn't do, even if their reason isn't the slightest bit justified, I'll fight back until I win. My hard headedness and stubbornness wins me a lot of arguments, but sometimes I don't know when to stop. It can get me into quite a bit of trouble with the gryphon community. I like to be different from the others, though, so I don't take opinions, rumors or harsh comments to much heart. They're just words, after all, and it'll take one hell of a lot more than your beak opening and closing to make sound just to put me down.

I almost always refuse help from others, which, as mentioned too many times before, gets me into a lot of trouble. Even if I'm dying I'll drag myself into an isolated area and close myself off from the outside world until I slowly waste away, off to a better place.

Oh my, I almost forgot. If you're blind or just plain stupid, I ought to explain to you my features. Well, quite obviously I am a peregrine falcon and snow leopard mix gryphon. My back legs and tail resemble that of a snow leopard, long furred, soft and grey and black spotted. My chest is a pale brown sugar colour with darker tree bark brown bars. My head is that of a falcon, with the golden yellow beak perfect for meat. I have a dark brown cap like 'helmet' marking on my head, and my wings are a similar colour all over. My fore feet possess sharp, hook like talons great for gripping flesh and are coloured the same as my lethal beak.

Well, let me start off by saying I'm not very fond or proud of my past. I'd love to tell you I'm a renown beast killer, kingdom ruler, or have a brave and proud heritage, but I don't. To start off, my mother cheated on my father. Well, my non blood father. In her clan, it is very shameful to leave your chosen mate, and are intact supposed to mate for life, until death. Sadly, she wasn't too rule abiding. She ran off with a peregrine falcon - red fox mix, mother was a snow leopard - red tailed hawk mix. They were pretty different in size, but apparently it was true love. They lived together for a long time, until the tribe found out she was with another gryphon. They were banished together, and exiled to the bad lands outside of the tribe lands. There I was born as a single egg. They cared for me dearly, and weren't bad parents, but almost as soon as I could fly they left me, lying that they were off on a big hunt. It was a terribly stormy night that they had left on. I could've even sworn I'd seen a tornado forming just outside. Nonetheless, I waited long, sitting in the cave I sought shelter in for nights and days on end. I grew hungry, and very skinny, losing hope and patience very quickly.

I've discovered that as I travelled on my own, from the initial moment I abandoned the cave, I began to build up courage, bravery, independence, muscle and my daring side. Being alone forced me to take many risks in my life. I've had to fight off things like wolves and cougars, which isn't too hard given I can simply take them out at such astounding speeds; those forces pack one hell of a punch on impact. I've had to work up the courage to scour caves in search of potential threats before I spend the night there. I've gone through so many temporary homes, from caves, to trees, to wide open fields. I've found my place, I suppose, here in the 'kingdom' as I call it, of the wolves. There are many here. It's not too bad.
