I was calmly walking through the forest, hoping for a little peace from my crazy household what with my brother Jack, my sister Lina, and my mom and dad bustling about. They were all going on vacation to Canada. I don't like the chill, so I decided to stay behind at home. Plus it would be good to be home alone for a while. Suddenly my thoughts are interrupted from someone jumping out of the tree. "Aghhhh!" I shout out, and scuttle backwards quickly, as I end up tripping over a tree root and falling on my butt. I instantly look up in fear and realize it's a boy my age. I cross my arms and pout. What a jerk.

Jack stared up, his eyes lustful and sad filled with tears, he turned his back and continued crying.

I stared at the ground, pouting about being scared by him. Then I finally sneak a glance up and I realize he had his back to me, and that he was crying. I scratch my head. I stand up and look at the boy's small frame. "Uhm... Look, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you.." I say in confusion.
