I have a hard time with it usually. But my pony's talents are pretty basic...

Like... hair stylist, fire fighter, astronomer...

How do you think of cutiemarks for talents?
It depends on the talent, honestly. With buttercream, her talent is making cupcakes, so It's pretty obvious her cutie mark would be a cupcake.

However, with Fairy floss, it's not quite as obvious. Her cutie mark is cotten candy, yet her talent is the circus in general, mainly behind the scenes.




And my kind of similar question, also regards cutie marks.

Are they fated, or can you decide. Could AJ be in manehaten with a orange for her cutie mark if she wanted to? Or was she destined to run the apple farm, and no other cutie mark could have shown up?

I usually just skip the talent/cutiemark stage and ask for suggestions.
