The three young pups nestled into Karrie and waited for Chako and Yara.

Yara looked at his paws, angry at himself for having to ask Chako this, but it had to be done. "Chako... The leader and I are going to fight, we have set the terms but need someone to tell us when to quit... I'm not asking you to do it, unless you would like to, because I just wouldn't be able to live with myself having made you watch me fight, but... Can you get someone for me, anyone, just someone to stop us from killing eachother." He looked up, nuzzling her gently.

storm stood,and nudged joanie "Joan...."he started softly...but stoped.

scarletta smiled,her older brother was getting weak...he would have to make an aliance soon....or the leader would eventually find them,she shook her head,and watched her adopted pups play,they where 2 this year..old enough to leave.

Willow went faster down the path, soon she was standing by Rako. "What were you thinking, throwing yourself off a cliff like that?" she demanded.

Rako looked up at Willow. "I had to get Fuji out of here without too much risk. If I had made a mistake we both could have died, but better both than one. But I didn't mum, I was careful." He looked away, then jump-hugged Willow. "I'm sorry for worrying you."

Willow hugged him tightly. "I don't want to loose you." she said. "When m mother lost my brother Ink and my father Dark, she was crushed, and she still had us. I only have you."

Fuji slowly backed off when she saw Willow, then she thought she could see a lump of mud. She was about to poke it when it stood up and shook itself, revealing a black and white puppy. It was Ink. He slowly limped off with his head lowered and ears pinned back, not wanting anyone to see him like this. The pup disappeared in the long grass that was at the bottom of the cliff near lots of trees and curled up in to a tiny ball...

Rako nodded at Willow, hugging her tightly. "I'm sorry mum...It was reckless and stupid. But you have to admit, it worked."

Fuji turned and ran away from Rako, frightened. Who were all these wolves? Why did they seem to know her?

Rako ran after her, jumping ahead. "Fuji, please. Just try and help me here... Stay still for a little bit. Mum, come here a minute please..."
