there are three types of GWC's,
there are the winter/water GWC's
there are the spring/topiary/plant GWC's
and there are the summer/warmth GWC's
GWC's are creatures that help with seasons... sort of, they think that they do, and in a way they do, but their specialization and what they do, is really mainly hobbies to honor the seasons.
They love the seasons and believe that they are magical, so for example, a winter/water GWC, would work in the rivers, and would collect water to 'make rain' when really, they are only going to the top of the tallest tower in a town, and putting the water into a machine to make it rain in that town. They imitate the seasons in very creative ways, and they love what they do, in fact, they get their gem color at 5 weeks old, because by then, they have a good grip of thinking, and then they get their gem based on their iner most true loves, and choosing what they'd be best at.
