The Village (Accepting!)

"Quite curious," she replied, brushing her hair back. "So, you think I'd simply give information to a stranger like you? I'm quite sure angels have changed over the years. Smile a little bit, darling," she laughed, then leaned back. She looked to the human sized mouse. Now, that was the first time she'd seen one of those people. Sure, her father had introduced her to warlocks, demons, and the like, but it seemed he hadn't shown her all the species. She looked to Adonai and flashed another grin.

((oh my goodness, lots has happened.
Oh, also... I'm on my phone, so if it says Pizza at any point, I mean Lizza... My phone likes to change words, apparently. D: Just a warning. xD))

Lizza had followed Adonai along with Martino, and was slightly confused when they ran into another person. Not that she minded, Lizza was fairly friendly and sociable, so she didn't mind more people. As long as they meant no harm. The young-looking girl was a bit put off by Adonai's demaning questions, and wasn't entirely sure why the angel was being so harsh about it. Did the other girl pose danger? Did Adonai know her? It was a good thing to know who she was, of course, before letting anyone into the village. Lizza completely agreed with Adonai there.
"It would be helpful, if you would at least tell your name." Lizza said with a slight smie, not entirely sure what else to do.

Adonai stared at Isabelle. "You had better give information to a 'stranger' like me, or you will not get into the village. Angels do not change; demons do." Her pupils narrowed to slits at that, but in the blink of an eye Adonai returned to normal. "I will smile when I want to, and right now you have not given me a reason to. Wipe that smirk off of your face and tell me now, or I will be forced to use force."

Isabelle Duncan

She saw another girl come walk over next to the mouse. She tilted her head curiously. These people were quite amusing, and seemed to each have very different personalities. "At least someone here is quite kind in asking questions," she said, tliting her head towards the new girl. "My name is Isabelle," she said and gave a tip of her hat. "A very amusing way to meet you two, excluding the guarding angel here." She looked to the angel, her smirk still on. "Will you use force? Oh, how I'd like to see an angel do that. You must be enjoying this conversation as much as I do- but no, you're not smiling! My dear, do angels smile? You may have proven the stereotype right!" She placed a hand on her hip and waited for their next move.

Martino Mouse

The mouse rubbed the back of his head awkwardly, sighing to himself, he engaged his plan. Shoving blatantly in-between the two, he tilted his head up for direct eye contact between Isabella and him.
"Miss Isabella.. may I have your word of honor that you won't cause unnecessary conflict within the village walls?"
His voice was soft, but his confident stance and unwavering bright eyes told witnesses that he wasn't on his knees begging for mercy. It was already obvious to the young mouse's mind that this character was going to enter the village with or without an invitation, and with that he wanted to confirm peace within the walls, for the sake of it's inhabitants, but mostly for the sake of his paranoid friend, Adonai.

Isabelle Duncan

She considered the mouse's proposal, then gave each of them a cursory glance before looking back at the mouse. "All I can promise you all is that I have good intentions. But, for peace, I cannot supply you guys with. Such 'words of honor' cannot apply to me, you do now that. People will forever be untrusting of demons like I." She broke off the eye contact with all three of them, and began to walk over to the village, when she stopped in the middle of her path. She turned her head to them, but kept her eyes low. "Funny thing is, you all who've treated this situation differently for if I was not a demon, or some other evil thing in your eyes." She looked back at the village ahead of her, and continued on her way, hands in her jacket pockets. If I had one wish to change who I was...

Adonai glared, eyes flashing gold again. "The reason mortals are untrusting of demons is because of what they have done. Would you worship demons after they kicked you out of a perfect Eden? Would you devote your life to them when they killed a loved one? I will allow you inside this village, if but for a moment." Glancing at Isabelle, Adonai pondered for a second before continuing. "I see that you are not soulless. Perhaps you have had more influence in the land of the mortals than most. But I will keep a close eye on you."

Isabelle Duncan

The girl listened, then continued walking. "You know nothing about us, do you?" With that, she walked into the village, drowned in her thoughts. How was it possible for someone to enter her dreams? And why? Most people only saw the evil side of demons, always thinking they were some sort of malevolent beings. For most, that was true. It may or may not include her, but for that matter, she didn't care. Each person saw something different, whether biased from their young lives, to simply getting to know the species. Either way, they all lived a world of lies. Even angels weren't perfect.

Adonai smiled, though not quite warmly. "Of course I know nothing of demons: I am not one, and have no wish to know more than needed. But I need a reason for your sudden visit. Perhaps you will feel kind enough to share that information?" She followed Isabelle, one hand still on her bow, wings casually hidden on her back.

Lizza smiled at Isabelle, and introduced herself as well. "I hope you find life in this village enjoyable. Anyone is welcome." She said to the other girl, although she was a bit worried that Adonai and Isabelle would end up arguing a lot, they already seemed to be disagreeing with each other. Perhaps it was better that she didn't interfere. Lizza then turned to Marty with a smile. "Would you like me to show you around? You can find a house that you like." Not that there was much to the houses. Most of them were only one or two rooms big, and didn't have much in them at all. The biggest buildings in the entire village was the barn and a building that had a few tables and old log-burning ovens in it.

((I finished the map! I'll post it as soon as I get onto a computer. It's kind of sketchy, but I can make it better later, after finals. :3))
