The Story.

Greetings, I'm Deerpaw, BayClan's apprentice medicine cat.
You want to know how BayClan came to be? Well, you came to the right place. I'll tell you gladly about my Clan's past.
BayClan was founded by a regular rogue. Well, he was regular.
His name? His name was Jasper.
Most of the first BayClan cats originate from Twolegplace.
After it was demolished, the kittypets that inhabited it has nowhere to go.
So Jasper convinced them that Clan life was the way to go.
And before you ask, yes, there are some actual forest born cats in BayClan.
In fact, now, most cats here are Clan born. Jasper's time was many years ago.
He isn't around anymore, and he made his journey to StarClan shortly after BayClan began.
But now the Twolegs are back, and everycat knows that with Twolegs, come kittypets.
But these kittypets are like no other. They aren't soft, fluffy kittens. No, they're brutal, selfish cats who have left their Twoleg nests to make a camp at the edge of BayClan's border. The thing is, they're stealing our prey. They've shown us that they've no intentions of leaving, either.
Now then, back at the beginning of BayClan's time, there was another Clan who accompanied us in
the forest.
They were here long before us, and their name was... Hm... MoonClan!
That's it! The last thing I remember about them is that they left the forest
to live by a waterfall. The waterfall is a long way away, and we only heard about
it from rogues, who had claimed that they
came from a disbanded Clan, that had lived near the lake before.
They didn't tell us why they broke apart, but we found out that they're back there.
So recently, Froststar decided that our 'kittypet problem' could be solved by settling nearby the lake.
So we're leaving the lands that our ancestors pawsteps walked on moons ago.
But we need to. StarClan have wished us luck, but even they can't foresee our future. After all, it is what we make of it.

Medicine Herbs:
Alder Bark: For the easing of pain of toothaches. Grows on boggy/wet land.
Beech Leaves: To carry other herbs. Found in any soil but wet.
Blackberry Leaves: Chewed into a pulp to ease bee sting pain. Found almost anywhere.
Borage Leaves: Chewed to produce milk and bring down fevers.
Burdock Root: Chewed into a pulp to heal infected rat bites. Found in drier areas.
Catmint: Eaten to help cure Whitecough and Greencough.
Celandine: Soothes damaged eyes. Juice trickled into the eye.
Chamomile: Strengthening herbs mainly given to travelling cats.
Chervil: Chewed to get the juice. Used for curing bellyache and infections.
Chickweed: Substitute when Catmint can't be found.
Cobwebs: To slow bleeding and bind broken bones.
Coltsfoot: Used for the easing of breathing or cracked pads. Chewed into a pulp.
Comfrey Root: Chewed into poultice to repair broken bones, soothing wounds, inflammation of joints etc.
Daisy Leaf: Chewed into a paste to ease pain.
Dandelion: To soothe pain of bee stings.
Dock: Chewed and applied to scratches.
Feverfew: Chewed to reduce body temperature and to heal aches.
Goldenrod: Found on moors. Chewed into a poultice to heal wounds.
Horsetail: Found in marshy areas to help treat infections, chewed into a poultice.
Juniper Berries: Chewed and eaten, found anywhere but wet areas. Soothes bellyache and calms cats.
Mallow Leaves: Grows at shores. Soothes bellyache.
Marigold: Grows near water. Stops infection.
Mouse Bile: Removes ticks and extracted from a mouse.
Parsley: Stops milk.
Poppy Seeds: Chewed to make cats sleepy. Not given to nursing queens.
Thyme: Calms anxiety.
Yarrow: Makes a cat vomit.

The Warrior Code:
1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.
3. Elders, queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.
4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.
9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
10. A gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.
11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
12. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if that kit is from a different Clan.
13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense.
15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.
