Yes, I agree! It's amazing! ^_^

It's romance and adventure. There's nothing supernatural if that's what you mean.

I have a question for everyone:
Is there any small thing, a pet peeve so to speak, that will make you stop a book immediately or not buy it in the first place- a literary pet peeve, so to speak?
Personally I absolutely cannot stand rebellious princesses. I won't read a book where the protagonist or any POV character is a completely unoriginal tomboy-born-noble who does typical things like learning to fight, riding horses astride, or wearing pants. I just won't read it. I'm so incredibly sick of the stereotype that I lack the words to properly describe my loathing.
When done right, the trope isn't a bad one. But going down the stereotype checklist like a clockwork is just too much for me. George RR Martin did it the right way with Arya Stark, and I like her even though she's a bit too rebellious princess for me. I couldn't stand the girl from Brave, though- suck it up and do your duty with grace for once, Disney princesses. Take a lesson from Mulan and go above and beyond the call of duty instead of shirking it and having to be your own special snowflake.

I agree 100% the tomboy princess thing is getting really old and annoying. One thing I can't stand is paranormal romance/werewolves/vampires. All of those things have been used to death and they're just a rehash of Twilight, which wasn't that great to begin with. I'll refuse to read anything paranormal because I just find it boring (no offense to anyone who likes that stuff).
Also, apocalyptic stuff- everyone seems to be OBSESSED with it. Sure I've read a few good ones about it, but now it's just getting old. Where's the fun in writing about the world ending 100 times when you can come up with your own unique ideas?

oh my god, paranormal romance. Especially in the steamy romance or YA subcategory. It's just one of those "kill me now" moments. I won't even read the back cover because I've learned from experience that even really intriguing ideas are completely ruined by the main couple. :c
Honestly, though, I do like apocalyptic scenarios, when done correctly. Too many of them just wind up sounding like paranoid tea party bs- apologies to any teabaggers... ah, tea partiers on here. Not that there aren't a small handful of paranoid liberal scenarios, but the political overtones are really stifling to the genre. I would recommend you read Rot & Ruin, however. It's set years after the zombie apocalypse and presents several novel viewpoints on zombies which I find much more realistic than your average setting. It might change your perception of the zombocalypse genre, at least.

Well, this pet peeve doesn't usually make me stop reading, but it does drive me insane. Weak female characters. Ones that are really quiet, they tend to keep things from other people for no good reason, they can't make up their minds, their list of flaws go on. I suppose I hate these gals so much because 1, they show up a lot! 2, I'm occasionally a tiny bit like them, so maybe that's why I hate them, whereas I'm not much like my favourite female characters at all. Generally.
P.S. My favourite female characters are strong, independent and funny, while still a good friend and loving.
Also, I probably love them so much because I find it very difficult to write these characters myself; they tend to get too cocky, rude and perfect.
I'm on a semi-hiatus, but would be willing to come back
full time for a good RPG. I'll look at anything, but I prefer
animals, and I won't do Hunger Games/Divergent, anything
supernatural, or anything where the main point is romance.
I've done Warrior cats and Camp Half-Blood RPGs quite a
few times, including hosting my own on another site, but I
would prefer not to do either of those RPGs again. I might
instead be interested in a Hogwarts RPG, or maybe something
based in WW1 or WW2. I'm probably semi-literate, but please,
nothing below that. (And I like RPing male characters, if
you're in need of any.)
So, have an RPG suggestion? Or maybe a trade? Or just
wanna message me? Please, don't hesitate! (;
