Dead Night

Part 3 of 'The Night' Roleplays

Two Hundred and Fifty years ago Earth was plunged into total chaos by the immortal wars caused by the 'Princess of Chaos' Shun-Massa and the Pureblood Queen Cosette. Although the battle which involved Massa and Cosette was short, Massa being destroyed within the first fight, the war raged on, brother against brother and spread into the mortal world. They humans shocked and scared by the immortal bane rapidly worked on developing weapons to suppress them, in the end it was Anubis, God of the Dead, who despised the immortals, disguised himself as a mortal man and gave the humans their savage salvation. The results of this betrayal was devastating, the immortal species hunted down like animals, the ones that died were the lucky ones, the ones that survived were used as test subjects, turned into Circus freaks, were forced into becoming gladiator cage fighters for human entertainment and some, a remote few by survival instinct forced themselves to play a dangerous game of cat and mouse, always hiding and never to stop moving. However at the time that the humans started to slaughter the immortals they did not realise the significance and impact the immortals had on the world, not all immortals had spawned from the sons and daughters of the ‘Gods’, some older species like ‘The fae’ were the offspring of the first Gods, or the ‘Titans’ in Greek myths. Species like Fae aided and shaped the environment, helped crops to grow; when the humans hunted them down they destroyed the environment thus destroying their own source of food. Now because of human bloodlust 75% of the Earth is a barren waste land of forgotten cities and desolate towns. The human population’s numbers are dwindling and crime is on the rise, the governments have been corrupted and fear amongst the common folk is thriving.

This is the end of days… this is Dead Night

Blood Corruptions Characters

Postby ♥Fleur Morte♥ » Wed May 22, 2013 1:52 pm

Name:
Corbett Valmont
Appearance Age:
Twenty-Six
Real age:
One-thousand-four-hundred and something
Gender:
Male
Sexuality:
Bi-Sexual but tends to like men more than women
Species
True-Vampire
Personality:
Corbett is a fading legend lost in the sands of time. Gone are the days where immortals lived in luxury and lived life unnoticed by the humans. Corbett's sanity is long broken, one could say that it was lost long before the humans manage captured him. His shattered mind no longer processes his charming words or elegant grace, what use is it to a gentleman when you estimated life expectancy is a minute when fighting in 'The Arena'. He seldom speaks to any one, he merely growls, snarls and snaps at the humans and immortals when they try to approach him. Some say that when he was released from hell he'd forgotten how to be human, others say that what had happen in hell was made it just too painful for him. Corbett's case is just another in a million examples of what the war and humans have forced the Immortals into becoming
Detailed History:
After repenting for his Sins in hell for Twenty-Five years, Corbett, with a little help from Sha-Aku, was released, however the Corbett that once was no long. Corbett was feral, an animal and a shadow of what was once a man. Timid, aggressive and completely paranoid Corbett attacked Sha-Aku on sight, thinking she was a demon trying to torment him. Sha-Aku who at the time was still friends with Edward fled from Corbett realising that his sanity was long gone. She left Corbett alone in a world that was no longer the one he had left.

For many decades Corbett wandered the world still thinking that he was still in hell, even when he saw and heard the pleads of his old friends he still attacked them until they no longer tried to reason with him. Eventually after a time when man began to rise up against the immortals he realised that he was very much in the world that he had left and the men that died at his feat were no apparition.

Ashamed with his foolishness and unable to cope with the rise of man or the memories of hell, Corbett willingly confronted the human soldiers in hope that they would end his miserable existence. The soldiers fired at him but their bullets did not kill him, they only rendered him unconscious. The soldiers transported him to Paris where he placed in an illegal auction where he was sold to a 'Fight Master'. He was transported in secret to an underground stadium. At the stadium he microchipped, bound in special strength resistance computer released electric handcuffs that monitored his body.

It took a month for Corbett to awaken from his coma, the 'Fight Master' who was worried he'd wasted his money was so thrilled by his conscious state registered him to fight in 'The Arena' (A once illegal gladiator type cage fight where immortal being are forced to fight to their death for the entertainment of wealthy human who are encouraged to bet) that very day, giving him the name of Auriel meaning 'Lion of God'. It took two minutes for Corbett to win his first match and one minute to win his second and third, soon Corbett became a renowned champion, in many way helped the fights become legal and it wasn't long after that his 'Arena Name' of Auriel became world renowned.
Detailed Description and Picture:
Corbett is about six foot six in height, he has a pale freshly dead tone to his complexion and his right arm is slightly shorter than his left. His hair is shoulder length, straight and is the colour of a roasted chestnut. Corbett's eye colour depends on how much blood he consumes, if he is well feed his eyes are an inhuman blue, if he is starved his eyes are grey. Since his ordeal in hell Corbett has gained several large scars on his arms, torso and face from fighting, the most noticeable scar is on the right side of his upper lip which partially shows his right fang.

Name:
Lou de Solaris
Appearance Age:
Eleven
Real age:
Two-Hundred and Sixty-One
Gender:
Male
Sexuality:
Heterosexual
Species
Vampire (Maybe True-Vampire)
Personality:
Even though Lou is two centuries his mind hasn't really developed much since he was a human child. Lou is naive and innocent, always smiling and asking question, sadly these actions aren't without reason. Because Lou was technically died despite the fact Cue's own soul revived it, transferring Lou's dead soul back into the body that he had died in caused severe trauma to his body which meant that immediately after his transfer he had to be changed into a vampire so that he didn't die again. Lou suffers from post-traumatic stress and short-term memory loss; he can not remember being a spirit and every few days (Usually a week) his memory resets back to the hour before he died. Lou is a full time job, he often has mood swings and can start crying for no apparent reason. He often sleep walks, has nightmares and can run off at any moment without warning.
Detailed History:
After Edward forced Cue's soul out of Lou's body, Lou has been in the custody and protection of Edward and Sha-Aku until she left. Due to his conditions he usually finds himself getting chased by patrolling robots or police officers, however Lou being physically young he is faster and more agile than most vampires and can easily outrun them.
Detailed Description and Picture:
Lou is shorter than most eleven year old and has a fair human like complexion. His hair much like his fathers is ebony black and is cut short with a fringe. His eyes are normally dark blue but turn gold when he's upset or getting upset (usually this is a sign he's getting ready to run away, cry or scream uncontrollably). Lou has multiple scratch wounds and cuts across his body from where he physically hurt himself during his sleepwalking or nightmares.

Twenty-Five
Real age:
Two-Thousand and Something
Gender:
Female
Sexuality:
Heterosexual
Species
Half-Goddess, she's the offspring of the Gaia and Pan

In many ways Pagos is a corrupter of sorts, her sharp words can easily influence anyone to do what she wants. Most of the time her ego often gets the better of her and she can appear selfish, greedy and vain. He vanity and greed often makes her self-conscious and jealous of people that have more that she does.
Detailed History:
Pagos is the daughter of the 'Earth Goddess' Gaia and the 'God of the Wild' Pan. Pagos never really knew her real family that well, like so many children of the gods many were cast away into the wild or given to mortal families to be raised. Pagos when she was two was given to the priestesses of the Temple of Aphrodite to be raised. Because of her godly heritage Pagos was raised by the priestesses to be the Temple's Protector, however she never liked to job.

When she was Nineteen her city was attacked and raided by the Turkish. During the attack she made friends and fell in love with with two Roman brothers who had been prisoners in the city and fled the city with them, abandoning the Temple of Aphrodite. Aphrodite, who had been watching the attack was angered by Pagos's lust and placed a curse on the two brothers turning them in hideous Revanent corpses. Upset and furious about what the Goddess had done to the brothers she vowed that she'd never trust the Gods again and left Greece to Germany. She lived in Germany with the brothers until Berlin was destroyed by the Immortal War and she was forced to move to France.
Detailed Description and Picture:
Pagos is five foot seven in height and two small goats horns protruding from her head. She has olive skin and dark green eyes with goat slit pupils which she masks with brown contacts. Due to the war when Berlin was destroye half her body was burnt in the fires that consumed the city. Sek is fearless and courageous in the face of evil, to those he loves he'll defend them with his life. He is caring and submissive to his wife Randella but also a little overprotective of her ever since he found out she was caring his child. Sek is often worried when he isn't around Randella as he always creates scenarios in head about thinks that could happen to her. In recent years due to the fact that Randella hasn't given birth to their child for over two hundred years he's began to think that he's hurt her in some way.
Detailed History:
Since the war Sek has live and protected Randella with his life, he almost never lets her out of his sight and can be a little annoying at times. At time he has been known to parasite off of other people's money simply because he's been too lazy to get his own. Cue has no real motives in life other than to live as long as he can no matter the cost. He carries no allegiance to anyone nor does he worship any god, he believes everyone else lower than him.
Detailed History:
Cue is the son of the Norse God Loki and an unknown human or Pureblood who was raised by the Egyptian God Seth.

During the war Edward forced Cue's spirit out of Lou's body and sent it directly to Hades where he was trailed for his sins. As the decades went by eventually by Cue eventually grew strong and immune to the demons' methods one night (yes there is night in hell) he broke free of his shackles and his soul escaped back to Earth. However there is a funny thing about escaping hell, something that Cue was well aware about, if a soul without a body on Earth manages to brake free the soul that escaped becomes a demon.

Name:
Ebony de Solaris III
Appearance age
Twenty-Five
Age:
Three-Hundred and Four
Gender:
Female
Sexuality:
Heterosexual
Species:
She is a Wraith due to circumstances but she used to actually be a very weak Dhampir.
Skin markings and colour:
Her skin is usually corpse like in complexion, however due to the ‘Immortal Wars’ Ebony now wears fake tan to ‘mask’ her skin.
Eye colour:
Dark Blue
Height
Six foot
Occupation:
Rogue/Outlaw
Theme Song:
Personality:
Ebony is a rebellious and unlawful creature. She feels no love for one person and much like her several generations Great-Grandfather, Cue, can be considered a selfish creature. She is out-spoken and has a harsh temper many fear. Unlike most of her relatives Ebony is courageous and never gives up a chance to fight. Being a Wraith, a creature that leeches off the life force of living for strength until they are nothing but skin draped bones, Ebony has desensitised herself to most emotions over the years often drowning the little emotions she has left in alcohol, drugs and cigarettes. Ebony is one of the few immortals that did not side with anyone during the war, instead she messed around with all the factions, destroying supplies, hacking and creating viruses to mess around with computers. By all immortal factions Ebony is both considered a wanted Outlaw but also a potential and indispensable ally due her ability to slip past the security codes on the human government's computers.
Detailed History:
From a young age Ebony's life had been unkind to her. From the time she was born Ebony had a strong bound to the realms of limbo and earthbound entities, having the ability to see them even when they didn't want to be. Her ability to see things that her parents couldn't see caused her relationship with them to be strained. At the age of five her father left her mother unable to cope with Ebony's condition, from there forth her mother no longer classified her as her daughter but rather as a burden. Her school life wasn't much better, constantly being bullied for being seen talking to herself. At age nine her mother sent her away to live in a mental hospital in England claiming that it was 'Better for everyone', she was not released until 1975 when she simply stopped seeing spirits. Ebony did not return back to France until 1979 when her both her boyfriend in England and mother died.

Ebony returned back to her family's château only to make the mistake of researching her family's dark past which lead her to open up a Pandora's box of secrets involving the immortals and occult. For many years Ebony researched and documented the immortals breeds however on a winter's evening in 1984 her researching dramatically came to a close when she was attacked and killed by an unknown man. Through unknown circumstances, perhaps stubbornness, Ebony did not die but instead became a Wraith, a creature existing both in the world of the living and the dead only existing by the power of revenge.
Detailed Description or Real-life or Semi-Real life Picture:
Ebony is a tall and slender lady standing at six feet. Her complexion is grey and slightly transparent but is usually disguised her fake tan. Her nails are three inches in length and are pointed to tips at the end. Her hair is, black short and spiked with gel to a Mohawk. Her fashion sense usually consists of a white fox fur capelet over top of a full black leather catsuit with studded boots.

{I feel like we don't need to have a form template, nor do we need to list the rules, since we are both pretty familiar with that. In terms of the character forms, I think we should just make sure our character is explained to the best of our ability. After all, they are really going to be fleshed out in the RP.

Um, I feel like we'll be having more types of species than just vampires in this one, and so you seemed to have the same idea, as you mentioned the Fae and whatnot. The Gods would certainly have many offspring, and we've been mainly using the Egyptian ones. We haven't even touched on the Greeks and the Roman gods. Or the Indian ones like Shiva the Destroyer. (Holy [censored], can you imagine if she became involved in this post-apocolyptic world?)}

As a side note, if you don't mind, I'd really like to explore Edward's and Corbett's relationship in this Rp, particularly their love for one another. It'll probably take a while, but I've sort of felt like they're destined for a SUPER long time. Plus, I'm going to do terrible things to Edward (*cue evil, maniacal laughter*) so he needs someone who loves him and who he loves to help him through.}

I have mentioned at times Hades but have never played as a Greek God or Half-God, I do intend to play as a character named Pagos who is the daughter of Gaia and Pan, I am not terribly familiar with Indian Gods, I know Kali, that's about it, but I though Shiva was Kali's husband?, also maybe we could include the Norse Gods, I mentioned Loki I did mention once is the true father of Cue even though he had been raised by Seth because Loki didn't want him.

I do intend to add in Revenants, Satyrs and Huldra into the roleplay, but I think, it'd be best if we at least a name, age, species, history and description for each new character. :)

Oh! No yeah, I totally think we should have a form for our characters. What I was saying was that I think we should customize it as we see fit for each one to best relay information.

I think I might introduce a Siren character...perhaps the son of Aphrodite and some powerful Demon, perhaps a descendant of Oberon or Oberon himself? I know that isn't true to history, but I want him to be deadly beautiful, but also very dark. I had a character created for an RP that never took off long ago that I adore, so I wanted to use him. From that same Rp, I have an evil Satyr character, so this works out perfectly. We should determine where the Fae are born from. There should be one father or mother, probably a god or goddess of mischief because the Fae are notoriously fickle and capricious, devious creatures, and perhaps two or three different parents, because the Fae differ greatly.

As a forewarning, the Fallen will be an integral part in this story. When Edward saved Corbett by turning him into a vampire with Fallen powers, he broke numerous laws that were punishable by eternal damnation.

In addition, this just occurred to me. It is likely that, while the humans are fighting the vampires and other immortals, it is also likely they are fighting amongst themselves. In the wake of this apocolyptic world, I'm assuming the humans will probably split into two sides: those who support the vampires because they lived amongst them, had lovers that were vamps, were business partners with immortals, etc and those that blame them for the turnout of the world. Those who support the immortals will likely be very small, and will also likely not do it outright. What they will do out in the open, is fight the other side for supplies, land, water, etc. because the world is falling apart, so is the economy, and the resources are dwindling. It's because kill or be killed now.

In regards to determining who are immortals and who aren't, I was thinking that most major cities have a "ring system." There is the outer ring, the slums, where scanning isn't so good and bribes can get immortals through or offering old blood can get them passed. I think there should be a machine similar to the body scanner in airports that can detect the differences in mortal and immortal bodies, and perhaps some immediate blood test. Like, say, in some chemical, vamp blood turns green instead of orange. Anways, continuing, the second ring is the middle class, the people are wealthier, and security is harsher; there are animals that can tell the difference, maybe even robots. They have better equipment and whatnot. The third ring is the elites of the world: business men, nobles, etc. who either have enough money or worth to get through despite being immortal or are human and have the good fortune of being super wealthy. Their ring is nearly impenetrable without some sort of huge influence and vampires caught there are immediately caught or killed. An inside man is absolutely needed.

I was thinking that, while some species have been brought into the light, other species won't be, because the humans will have no idea what exists out there. Say Sirens for example. Seeing the humans' reaction to the vampires, of course they wouldn't reveal they existed! And the other immortals likely wouldn't either, because they are united against a common enemy: the humans.

Sounds good, the should be Fae impish characters but they are creatures that normally can only be seen if they want to be seen, however since Anubis did help the humans develop the technology to kill the immortals he could have also helped them to develop special goggles to see the Fae.

Poor old Edward, why must his soul be so tormented for all the good he commits?

Yes! I agree there should be a minority of people that support the Immortal and maybe protest about the killing and unethical crimes against them! And yes, yes, yes, I LOVE the idea of the idea of the three district system. And I agree there should be also blood test systems and body scanners in the entrances of most major buildings. There should be robots that patrol the middle and high class sectors regularly and some genetically modified dogs that can sniff out immortals. And yes SOME immortal could have corrupted the system and made it into the wealthy sector. :3 Yay! This is so exciting, these roleplays are so well thought of we could almost write a book or create a TV Show about with it! I'll have my characters up tonight!

{:'D I'm so glad you like the ideas! Hehehe. I think I'll need to make a human character, probably one fervently against the immortals to even out the playing field, so I think it'll take until tomorrow to get this done. For the most part, all the forms are done though. I'm mostly revising.

We should figure out which main part of the world this takes place in (at least where we're writing anyways--of course this will also be taking place in, say, America, but we won't focus our attention there.) Europe? In what used to be France? I think countries will likely have merged, so it will be like New France, or some new name entirely. The others were set in France, or, at least the first one was, so I think it's a good place to be. I'm figuring much of the land will be devastated and many people dead, so the number of cities will have dwindled greatly from the number there are today. I'm also assuming the districts will be rather large as it will consist of people CRAMMING together for protection, resources, safety, companionship, etc.

And yes, poor, poor Edward. I have some great plans for him in this, some truly glorious ones, but it will be a terrible ride for him. The beginning itself will start with him suffering. >.>}

Yes, France and later America will be okay c: And yes, the city regions will be quite large and cramped, especially in the outer 'slum' districts.

Okay, so I manage to write for two of my 'old' character tonight, I'll have my 'new' characters and Sek's form posted tomorrow c: Now read through Lou's post, I think I've made him a VERY saddening character and also I guess since you are wanting to make Edward's life stressful I've just made it even more so :c
