Try Left 4 Dead 2. It's $19.99 on Steam, but can go on sale for as cheap as 5 bucks. At least, that's what it cost when I bought it.
Borderlands is really cool as well. It can also be found on Steam for #f979790, but like I said before, there's a ton of sales...
Ever tried the Half Life series? I suggest playing the second one. The first one's really cool, too, but was made in 1998 so the graphics are considered outdated. However, you should care less about the graphics because this is a great game.
