Rarity issues with Very Rare Rarity Tag

I wouldn't take one of those suggestions as well IF there would be a new rarity tag, it should be clear in between which rarity tags this one is... BUT at least since we have a rarity-bar, which will show you the rarity itself in a visualized way, the name is not THAT very important.

Still, I really think a new tag between VR and OMGSR would help a lot to represent the value of a pet, which will automatically lead to make trades easier and better understandable - even for younger and newer users...

Edit: Anyway.. This conversation only makes sense to me if one of the officials could tell us there opinion, because they need to work it out. It's just a wish of me and other users...

Agreed on the fact that the Uncommon rarity tag should really be the one to be split. it's enormous. o____o

Not all users like the bars, and we have an option to see the text only. It's not really right to force those users to use the bars to make good decisions on trades... ^^;

I'm against this, basically for all of the reasons listed. But I agree that if any would be split, it should be the Uncommon tag. Not as bad as it used to be, but it still definitely seems to be the most crowded.

And you do realize Ricorn and Atwood are both staff members, right? You've already had opinions from 'officials', and they both seem pretty against it.

At all it does not care which rarity tag we need to split of... You could also split uncommon, BUT that would case a rarity change for quite a lot of pets...

Pets, which were uncommon, would stay uncommon, pets that were rare, would become very uncommon, the lower half of very rare pets, would become rare, the upper half of very rare would stay very rare and the OMGSR would stay OMGSR as well... THAT would do the trick as well... The entered rarity tag is different, but has the same effect.

Well, they are just moderators... Not side owners Just as they said... The two people who have to say if it will be done or not are Tess and Nick.

I already realized that pretty list-experienced users are against this... And I understand them. They are thinking something like: "Never change a running system. Everything is good as it is...". But that does not means that it is perfect or even could be better.. I just want to help people and give better view of the rarity of a pet, because the current scale does not seem to view this in case of the VR-tag very often.

As i stated before the gap between VR and OMGSR is much greater then the UC to R, not in pure numbers but eventually ever UC will be R but not every VR will be OMGSR

My reason for wanting one is that the i dont see any VR ever becoming OMGSR in the near future

I think a CS statistic showed only 30 when there was 300+ VR and about a 1000 rares

it really seems like OMGSR is resurved for UR pets and specific '08 pets like the sunjewel

to me a Speckeled rat, Blue Tox, most mainlists are inbetween the OMGSR and the VR, while more common list pets like a raven are VR

with the rarity change, everything will eventually become VR given enough time, but only a select few will be OMGSR

OMGSR is a very special case... We have something like 10 pets, that fits the tag - not more... Perhaps another solution could also be to split the upper half of very rare tag to the OMGSR tag... Then we do not need any new tag, but this would effect the rarity of the really rare very rare pets...

EDIT: Every time I'm talking about the 'upper half' I do not mean exactly 50%... The split could also be made 25% or whatever..

I don't think that would help, the list is user made ^^; rarity is CS determined


@ jinx, I think OMGSR shouln't have more added to it, but i do think there should be a clear step between Vr and OMGSR
